For some reason my BBM app keeps getting killed off and I don't get notifications. I have no task killer and I don't have the option to hide the notification Icon enabled. Any ideas?

Using LauncherPro, if I turn notifications for text in the messaging app off, and just get notifications on launcher pro, I dont get any sounds that I have texts ...any reason or am I missing something..
Because you turned notifications off. Derp.
I guess what I mean is can I have launcher pro notifications and yet still get sound without having them pop up on the task bar? Or notification bar

Ok I just looked, so If I turn off received notifications in task bar, it also turns off messages sounds or grays them out so you can't change...that sucks, I should have an option for both

I'm using ChompSMS on my Sprint EVO and love it, but after I answer my text message, the notification stays in the task bar until I pull down the task/notification bar and "clear it". I'm running froyo and when in my standard factory messages app, press "menu" but there's no "settings." When using my standard factory message app, after I view and/or answer a message, the notification in the task bar goes away. But with ChompSMS, it doesn't, thus requiring me to remove it manually (I'm also running call notification so it beeps at me every two minutes until I clear it manually). Any way to stop messages from appearing in the notification bar? Or is that mandatory for my "call notification" to work? Any way to make chompsms clear the notification after viewing and/or answering the text?
Go to the stock message app and uncheck received notification. Use chomp settings for your notifications.
Hello everybody
So i have some apps that require to display a notification so the process doesnt get killed.
All of them have the option to disable the notification but mention that the process may get killed when disabling the notification.
Since Android 4.1 you can disable notifications for an app through the settings in the app section.
If i activate the notifications in the apps settings but disable it in the system settings is it the same like disabling them in the apps settings?
Is there still the possibility that the process may get killed then?
