Changing themes changes the color of the soft keys on the home screen, but once in another app, they go white. Is there a way to have them black for all apps?

Using CM nightly (18th).
I have a pattern lock and removed the side widgets with Lockscreen Policy. Last thing to go would be the circular dots at the bottom that are part of the Google Now swipe.
On a separate note, is there a reason you can pull down the clock to expose a blank area underneath?
Sorry for poorly notated screenshot:

The space is for when you have multiple clocks for different time zones.
if u fill ur lock screen with widgets, u press that to bring up the unlock settings.
You could use an app like widgetlocker or go locker. They'd probably have the option to hide the google now circle.
I miss the simple ICS/ 4.1.2 lockscreen

I don't suppose anyone who has these apps can confirm this? I guess I'll try Go Locker, but the other one is a paid app...

WidgetLocker does one of two things. It either leaves the Home, Back, and Recents buttons there, or, if you enable root helper, it will replace those with the GNow Circle. No option for a black bar.

You could always make the Google now circle blend into the lock screen if you're using paranoidandroid like so.

In hybrid settings, set the launcher's nav bar color and transparency to match the lock screen color n transparency. It takes some tweaking to get the right color but you'll find it soon enough.
I'm using #55000000 but you may need to tweak it a bit depending on your wallpaper
Or you could take a screenshot of your lock screen, find the color code for it using the color picker in Photoshop and then enter that value in the launchers nav bar color picker.

Not sure I'm seeing what you're seeing. The dotted circle is still in your screenshot.
Yea but its not within a black bar. The wallpaper extends to the bottom. And its just one possible way to mask it and make it look nice since I'm not too interested in getting rid of it completely anyway.

Ya... I too want to remove that upward pointed triangle from the lock screen as it is giving me issues.. It is even present behind my Home button and disables its functionality even after unlocking the screen.
Somebody help please

It can be done yes, you need to theme the background white and change the primary/sub xml files to white text.
Dont 'spose you have a flashable zip? I much prefer the Note 8.0 menus
Or use another launcher instead of TW to change the background to whatever you want it to be.

A launcher won't help. We're talking about menus and things like the dialer app here.

Guess I cannot ask you to teach me stuff (changing the background), but may be a suggestion to browse some forums, perhaps?
I think he mean this.
I know the first dump file (I9500XXUAMC6), has the light grey settings menu.
Yes. When did Samsung decide to chsnge it. In fact I have similar settings background on my S3 as well. Any way to get this back on S4?

That's no good as it changes the colours of the notification bar, icons, etc too.

Only some S4 markets get the white background. I believe T mobile USA for example. International units are black.

There is a thread in note 1 n7000 on how to change background for contact/messaging/setting/my files.
That's for jb4.1.2. Might not be the same with 4.2.2. It's your phone so you decide.

White on white issue? You mean like black on black when using a black theme? Hmm. That means your text it fully transparent. I don't remember there being an option to change text colour in pacman.
Anyway, you're gonna have to find a way to change the text colour. Maybe by using some app. Was this always the case? Like since you flashed the ROM, was it this way? Or did you mess around the settings and found this issue later on? If it wasn't there from the beginning then you could wipe data and reflash.

He might be talking about the removal of the gradient "texture"(for lack of a better term) and wanting it back... maybe.
Otherwise, I got nothing.

On Rastakat which is a ROM. Rascarlo (developer) made the background gradient of the Settings to be black instead of the "Holo" black/blueish background. http://dl.xda-developers.com/attach.../9/5/7/2/0/uploadfromtaptalk1384617447070.jpg
See how its all black? He wants the gradient back is what the OP wanted.
Can I somehow change the brightness slider color to white? I'm using wanam xposed to theme my phone but i can't find the setting to change it (i am not able to find it probably lol). And can I change the power menu colors to black and white? I'm owning a S3 Neo in the color black so I thought it would look awesome
Thanks in advance!

To change the brightness slider, you have to edit systemui.apk. To change the power menu icons/colors, you have to edit the framework-res.apk.
