Using CM nightly (18th).
I have a pattern lock and removed the side widgets with Lockscreen Policy. Last thing to go would be the circular dots at the bottom that are part of the Google Now swipe.
On a separate note, is there a reason you can pull down the clock to expose a blank area underneath?
Sorry for poorly notated screenshot:

The space is for when you have multiple clocks for different time zones.
if u fill ur lock screen with widgets, u press that to bring up the unlock settings.
You could use an app like widgetlocker or go locker. They'd probably have the option to hide the google now circle.
I miss the simple ICS/ 4.1.2 lockscreen

I don't suppose anyone who has these apps can confirm this? I guess I'll try Go Locker, but the other one is a paid app...

WidgetLocker does one of two things. It either leaves the Home, Back, and Recents buttons there, or, if you enable root helper, it will replace those with the GNow Circle. No option for a black bar.

You could always make the Google now circle blend into the lock screen if you're using paranoidandroid like so.

In hybrid settings, set the launcher's nav bar color and transparency to match the lock screen color n transparency. It takes some tweaking to get the right color but you'll find it soon enough.
I'm using #55000000 but you may need to tweak it a bit depending on your wallpaper
Or you could take a screenshot of your lock screen, find the color code for it using the color picker in Photoshop and then enter that value in the launchers nav bar color picker.

Not sure I'm seeing what you're seeing. The dotted circle is still in your screenshot.
Yea but its not within a black bar. The wallpaper extends to the bottom. And its just one possible way to mask it and make it look nice since I'm not too interested in getting rid of it completely anyway.

Ya... I too want to remove that upward pointed triangle from the lock screen as it is giving me issues.. It is even present behind my Home button and disables its functionality even after unlocking the screen.
Somebody help please

I am using RocketRom and was wondering if there is a way to make touchwiz default screen as number 4 and not 1.
When I press the home button it should go to 4th screen(center) and not 1st screen(left most)

Except that the wallpaper isnt centered tell me why you want the 4 and not the 1

I just moved the first tile where tile 4 should be, but I too have struggled to find a way to set 4 as default. Perhaps it's going to need APK manager used on it and start digging around the xml files.

Since when you can sweep left of the leftmost screen and get to the rightmost screen, setting the default screen to any other number than 1 has lost all practical sense.
P.S. I agree it would be nice to be able to do so anyway but I am not using tricks/mods to set the screen no. 4 as home anymore as I don't need them anymore since "continuous sweep" has been introduced in the latest GalaxyS and GalaxyS2 ROMs (I have a Note now and it's had it from day 1). Only remaining reason would be "cosmetic" but "cosmetically" I personally like it better to have no. 1 screen set as home..

That was my point too as i said above the only "problem" is the not centered wallpaper, the static photos.

Yes, I was just agreeing with you and expanding a bit on the reason why
One thing that's kind of bugging me is the amount of vertical resolution lost while browsing in both Chrome and Dolphin due to four things:
1. The notification area.
2. The tabs display row.
3. The URL bar.
4. The navbar.
This ends up being a couple hundred pixels out of 800. One way to mitigate this would be to have the navbar appear on the right hand side of the screen like it is on the Galaxy Nexus. I personally find this convenient for actually tapping the soft keys themselves as that is how I am used to doing it on the Nexus 7 and my thumbs don't need to make the stretch to the center of the screen.
Yay or nay to show your interest in a vertical navbar on the left.
Thanks!
Install a custom ROM. Some have vert nav bar in landscape.

Any suggestions? Neither CM10 nor AOKP appear to offer this as an option.

Is there an app or setting that will allow me to have a different wallpaper on my lock screen and home screen like on the iPad?
I tried an app called MultiPicture Live Wallpaper. It allowed me to have a picture for my lock screen, and a separate picture for my home screens. The problem was that the picture I was using for my home screens would take a second or two to load after I unlocked the device.
Perhaps there's another app that can yield better results, or some tweaks I can do with that particular app.

If you're willing to flash it, AOKP has that functionality

What about it?
He was on about using another app : Multi.....
I am saying doesn't just changing your background internally, (holding the homescreen and choosing gallery) also change the lock screen image?
Or does he want 2 images -
One for homescreen
One for lockscreen
If so my bad
How do you remove the digital clock on the lockscreen? It keeps returning after I delete it. Also, can you add other widgets besides the four shown?
I was able to use uccw on the lock screen
Try to replace it with another widget. Then go back later and delete that one.

Tried that. The clock came back.
Is there at least a way to make it look decent, without the stupid bold hour digit? I wouldn't mind having the clock on the lock screen if it didn't look so bad.

Download Fixed Clock from the Market/Play Store and use that widget in place of the stock one.

good question, anyone?
Is it possible to add widgets or change things on the lock screen?
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda premium
Yep as always very customisable being android but just now its limited by the number of apps and devs incorporating this new feature into their apps but it will get better as always with bigger name and Google apps making use of the additional flexibility

Yes. If you slide to the left or right, you will see a blank lock screen with a [+] icon. Tapping that will allow you to add widgets.
Thanks guys

Not on stock 4.2 yet. I believe you can with Widget Locker though.
