I noticed some strange behaviour of the battery indicator on my Oppo Find 5.
Battery drains very slowly from 100% down to around 92% (around 3 - 4 hours). It then decreases from 92% down to around 80% very quickly in ~1 hour. After that it slows down again. All in all the percentage doesn't seem to decrease steadily but more in slow a fast phases.
I noticed this on several roms (AOKP, CM, CodefireX....).
Is this normal for this phone?

So, I got a new battery for my Wizard a month ago, as of just recently (or recently noticed) it dies in just a few hours, and it drains faster as it gets lower (noticed using HomeScreen ++, battery discharge rises from 136 mA, up to around 400+ mA).
So, is there any good reason why the battery is dying so fast?
Relatedly, what could cause it?
I'm running WM 6.5 build 21502.
ROM here.

Fixed, had to discharge, freeze the battery, recharge, repeat. Still odd I had to run through it again even though it's a new battery...
Hello, as tittle says I use my defy with cm7.1 fine it runs the battery down at normal pace (around 10 hours heavy use then gives me my warning at 10% and flashed LED then down to 1% .
That's good right?
Problem is at 1% then I can carry on using it at 1% for about 2 hours (so far) it wont die????
I even got a battery drainage app and that ran for over an hour.
What can I do?
Is it a miracle?

Try battery calibration.
at 1%... just keep doing something till it actually turns off... then charge the battery till it reaches 100% without a break.
I got the same issue with CM7.2 nightly. It was solved for me performing the battery recalibration, as darshaonline suggested. To do this, just follow the steps for 'Battery recalibration in the Cyanogenmod Wiki'
me and some of my friends have the same problem. we all have 2300 mAh battery, but the phone reads only 500mAh, so it shows super fast (30-40%/h) draining, but when we reach 1%, we can carry on using for about a day. we couldnt find any solution to get the battery capacity reading right, the only thing we could come up with to find out the current charge was to guess it based on the battery voltage. our range is from 3,2V to 4.2V.

I am running CM10.1.3.1 with the nitest 7/20/2013 kernel and FC19 modem, on an Onite 1900 mAH battery.
I used many of the tips in this post;

10 hours overnight with minimal usage, my battery now drops to 78% and shows 4 days 15 hours of similar usage before the battery will be drained fully. I've never, since buying the phone new, had better than 26 hours of stand-by time show up with a fully charged battery. I'm now showing 5 days.
Of course, screen usage is still the big impact, so actually using the phone drains it just as fast, but it is nice to know that, if I am not using it, I don't have to keep it plugged in all the time now.
I could be completely wrong about this but...
Have you been rebooting your phone? From what I've read rebooting the phone can throw off the battery stats. Basically the battery storage and usage is all the same its just the reporting thats off. I'm guessing battery stats get readjusted over time if the phone remains powered on.
Recently, my XT1575 has been suffering from extreme battery issues. First, my phone battery would last about 6h but die (screen turns off with absolutely no warning). Recently however, my phone will last around 3-4 hours before dying. I was running the same flash of AICP before and after the issue developed, and have now switched to crDroid to see if the issue would be fixed, but it was not. I have included a screenshot of my battery graph by the end of the day. Please note that the gaps between the parts in the graph were only about 2-5min in real life, but show up as significantly longer in the graph for some reason. One thing I have noticed is as if the battery completed flat lines when it is not in use. It is almost as if it is forgetting to count down the battery so it thinks it has more battery than it actually has, but something lower level in the phone knows it doesn't have that much so it shuts down. Any ideas?

So, i have an year old original (bought directly from Samsung and probably one of the last original spare batteries ever manufactured ).
Normal usage of the phone texting, browsing, light games, would drain 1 % every 3 minutes or so, which is normal i'd say.
What is peculiar about it, is that If i use an app (game) that needs a lot of CPU power, the battery % goes down fast, like almost 1 % every 1 minute, but then, after i stop that app and try something lighter, the % goes down slower, like 1% every 5 - 6 minutes. When the battery discharges fast, the Voltage, as shown by GsamBattery history, is around 3.7 and when it discharges slow, is around 3,9 - 4V.
Also when i'm at 1% the battery usually lasts 10 or more minutes of Sot.
Of course, i calibrated with full discharge and charge several time, no difference.
I can't say i noticed this behaviour last year, but i didn't really test it in detail.
Is this a sign of my battery dying?
