First formart SD card with SDFormatter with option "format size adjustment" and with MiniToolPartitionWizard Split main and alone FAT32 partition to for example first 30GB FAT32 primary partition with 32KB cluster size and second 2GB EXT4 primary partition with default cluster size on my SD card, then copy files 4EXTRecovery version 2.2.7 and file XXXX.zip android Rom to SD card, then power on mobile into MAGLDR and select |=> Services => Bootsettings => AD SD Dir and Select the folder 4EXRecovery and last "Boot SD AD". After run the 4EXRecovery and i see in the commander the EXT4 Partition not formatted and i can not install because not found sd-ext partition, i try to create or format or wipe or repartition ... the SD card with 4EXRecovery but nothing!

[HOW TO] Get a smaller wp7 partition/bigger FAT partition

After a few questions I decided to write a TUT how to get a smaller wp7 partition.
Better: I tried to write a TUT
What you need: your sd card, a SECOND SD CARD with less storage, partition app for pc(I used EASEUS Partition Master 6.5.2 Home Edition), usb cardreader
1st step: flash wp7 with magldr when the SMALL sd card is in your phone or perform a hard reset with the smaller card when you have already flashed wp7.
2nd step: connect both sd cards to your pc and run the partition app.
Delete the filesystem of your BIGGER sd card.
3rd step: copy the wp7 partition from the small sd into the unallocated space of your big sd.
Now create a new partition(FAT32) of the rest unallocated space and convert from logical into primary partition. The drive letter must be set on your fat32 partition! Otherwise your pc will not find it. In front of your wp7 partition should be a “ * “.
I used 4gb and 16gb sd cards so I got 3.5gb wp7 partition and 11.5gb fat32 left on my 16gb card .
Sorry for my English
Hope it can help anyone of you guys and don’t forget to thank DFT for LEO70
Wouldn't it work to have 2 sd cards?... 1 for wp7 and 1 for android. Just make sure the phone is off when you switch them and make sure the wp7 card is in when you boot into wp7. I want to try that... have my 16gb for wp7 and my 32gb for android. Has anyone been able to boot android off sd with magldr yet?
EDIT: Oops, I actually posted this in the wrong thread. Sorry.
Hmmmm tried doing this but failed, I think it's due to my card reader only being able to read Micro SD and not Micro SDHC, tried doing it through magdlr usb was a no go, could change the partition but not wipe it, nice idea though, I'm sure many will find it helpful

Android SD Boot Failed

I tried going into services to set the folder but when i do that it takes me back to the main MAGLDR menu
When i do boot AD SD, i get sd kernel open failed
I have 2 different rom folders on the root of my sd which i formatted
The directories are named exactly as specified in the thread
just go nand way better and stable
sent from my HTCHD2 running Haldrics Sense 3.0 rom v.2 & Marcs Kernel.
well i wanted wp7 on nand
Mate your SD card isn't formatted properly.
Put it in windows and then format it using FAT32 and the highest cluster size you can
Or download minitool partition magic or easeus partition manager and format your SD card as PRIMARY with FAT32 and highest cluster size.
PM me if u need more help
i did a task 29 and redid it and it worked
the sd card was fine prob just some internal issues

[Q] Htc cannot read and sdcard after I changed to android?

Dear everyone, as stated in the title,
If there any idea why my hd2 cannot read my sdhc card after i changed from window to android? (the same sdhc card works well with laptop)
And do we need a sd card to recover a rom without DAF.exe? Thanks in advance.
it could be that wp locked the card. there is a thread here about un-locking your card.
or try to get mini tool partiton / eause to format the card & give it a go again.

Hi, thanks for the reply.
There's two threads about it, but it's still not stated a clear solution there.
Btw bro, may i know how to do partition in sd card? Using the MAGLDR repartition? And do i need to insert the sd card into my phone then only can do the partition process? thank you.
first thing first, what do want to do?
if you do want to partition your SD card via HD2 you have to have CWM or the option in magldr #8 AD Recovery, from there you have options to format or partition your SD card.

When i was installing CWM into my sd card, the command prompt stated that it cannot reach my sd card, which means cannot read.
Is there any other solution for it?
PS: I'm on DFT LEO NAND Andriod (stock), is there anyone encounter the problem and problem solved? Is it about the the stock rom i used? I mean the rom itself has problem in reading sd cards?
Thanks.
mount SD card in MAGLDR (not recovery) and format it with SDFormatter tool.
Not with any other tool but SDFormatter
https://www.sdcard.org/downloads/formatter_3/
and specificly mount in MAGLDR not in CLK or Recovery.
To conclude: MAGLDR mount + SDFormatter
Thanks bro for the reply, I have tried to format my SD card with the SDformatter before, same thing still happened..
Btw, sorry for the noob question, how to mount my card with magldr? Thanks in advance.

[Q] How to set SD BOOT FOLDER TO NATIVE SD

Hi,
Very silly question, but dont know the answer, please help!
Recently installed Tytung's Jelly Bean rom ad and at the end of installation tells me the aroma installer
not to forget to et my sd boot folder to nativeSD.
I chose the sd-ext installation during setup so this step is essential.
Tried option 10 in CWM but don't know which directory to select.
I also have ext4 2Gb and fat32 partition on SD card.
Thank you for your help

Choose option 10, then 1, then 3 - a list of all the directories on your card appears, choose nativesd. Then set your boot preference to android sd.

When I select option 3 and see all the directories there is no nativesd folder therefore I can't select it.
Any idea?
usually when you flash a NativeSD to EXT4 partition it will create a Folder in SD called "Native Folder", try the link below it might help
Sorry to hijack but the problem I have is that nativesd folder has been created, but when I attempt to set the directory in magldr it just blinks back to the first menu. I've read that this can be due to the type of sd card, but I've tried two different ones with the same result.
I partitioned the card on my sensation, using 4ext, the fat32 and ext4 partitions are primary and according to the instructions, but still no success - any ideas?
how about trying to format the card via PC?
give the link below a try it might help
Formatting on the pc got an unnamed brand 2 gb and very slow sd card to work, magldr recognised the folder structure and I was able to set the boot directory - but the ROM runs very slowly, as I would expect.
I next tried a 16gb x6 card, Kingston brand in exactly the same way but magldr still refuses to view the folders - is there a problem with Kingston cards?

Try to Services - BootSettings - AD SD Dir - NATIVESD, then Services - BootSettings - Boot Source - Android from SD, then Reset

It's at the AD SD Dir - NATIVESD stage where magldr simply jumps back to the main menu, I don't even get to see the folders on the card so can't choose the boot location.
On a non-brand 2gb card it works okay, but a Kingston brand gives this problem.

Try to install new CWM recovery
I have no idea if this problem is solved in the meantime, but when I try to select boot folder same thing happens. It's only with one of my SD Cards (Samsung 8GB 4).
The problem occurs after starting the phone or after rebooting it. Magldr does not find the SD Card and therefore can not select a directory. When in Magldr the SD Card is released and then pushed back into the slot, everything works fine - until next reboot or start of phone. I repeated this several times and behaving of Magldr everytime was the same. I use Magldr V 1. 13, there ist nothing else installed on the phone (no CWM). With a different SD Card everything works fine. I tried to check this on a different phone, because I thought that maybe the card slot is damaged, but my second HD2 behaved the same way. The problem SD Card made the same kind of problems, other cards worked well....
Hi, I have the same problem, and instructions in this thread doesn't help since I'm using CLK instead of MAGLDR.
How can I do this in CLK?
Felt 100 installations later I would think, there are MicroSD-Cards that simply do not work. There are lot of phenomena I even don't think about describing here. My Conclusio: Don't to use SD-Cards that have issues.

this had me going for a while.
search for the ext4 recovery version for sd card.
with madldr you set the boot folder to ext4 and boot into recovery from there.
i have windows 7 in nand, and 1 sd card with 'sd android | ext4 data | windows 7' which i find easier although you need 2 cards to set it up anyway.
ok thanks
check out one of the links below, you can have WP7 in nand & Anroid NativeSD with EXT4 on one SD card.
