Hi
Just had the following from EE:
---------------
Dear EE Customer,
Thank you for applying for your free Sony SmartWatch 2 as part of the Sony Xperia Z1 promotion. To be eligible for this free reward you are required to have pre-ordered the Sony Xperia Z1 between the 1st September 2013 and 20th September 2013 on EE.
Unfortunately, your details do not meet the pre-order requirements during the designated period. If this is an error and you did pre-order your Sony Xperia Z1, please email us at [email protected] with all of the following information:
1 proof or your pre-order being between 1st September and 20th September 2013 e.g. receipt or email order confirmation
2 telephone number
3 IMEI number
4 the address the phone/EE contract is registered to
Please allow up to 10 working days for a response to your email.
Kind Regards,
The EE and Sony teams
--------------------
And my response:
This is getting ridiculous. My Z1 was pre-ordered on around 13th Sept. I have already made the claim, then at your request, I sent you a copy of the delivery note. This smells like yet another delay tactic.
1) I have attached the invoice once to this email (again)
2) Telephone No is xxxxxxxxxxx
3) IMEI: xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
4) Billing addr: xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Please sort this out ASAP, I am getting a very sour taste over this whole affair. If EE offers me something for free to tempt me into signing up for a contract, then I expect a timely fulfilment of what I was offered. Not any old excuse to get out of honouring the deal.
--------------------------------
Very peeved with the cheeky blighter's at EE ...
Nigel
Eh, dunno what has been going on before but aren't you overreacting? They say 'if this is in error please provide us with" so why don't give em the benefit of the doubt and assume that after providing that data it will be fine?
I would be very annoyed by the 'please allow 10 working days for a reply to your mail' though, that's just pretty awful.

I'd tend to agree with the overreacting part except in reading the OP's response to EE it appears they'd provided this information already and EE is acting as if this was the first communication. Sounds like EE is very unorganized.
Agreed
Fact is they never bothered to respond to two previous emails asking what the delay was, and when I got through on the phone, they asked that I scan/email receipt as this would speed things up. Did this, heard nothing. Then tried to phone them, discovered they are no longer taking phone calls and was told to email prev address instead via recorded message. I know from prev 2 emails that they don't bother to respond to emails sent to this address. Then, this morning, I received the email in the OP.
I reckon I am perfectly entitled to be pished off with them!

I got a notification around the 9th/10th apologising for the delay and that my watch will be dispatched soon. Then i got a text on friday from dhl to say it's on it's way. and monday lunch time they delivered it.
Got the same email. Sent them my details however I no longer have any order confirmation emails about my Z1. Let's see what happens...

Yup, you sure are ( I just didn't really get that from the first post). But sounds like terrible customer service, unfortunately happens too often still. Hope it'll work out in the end!

Woot!
Placed an order for my HD2 on Vodafone contract via mobiles.co.uk today =D
Seems to be processing ok so far. Can't get my hopes up until it's all confirmed, but woot!
They say shipping on the 11th (Wed).
Should be awesome!
i put in an order yesterday, current status is "pending". i guess thats the same for you? also where did u see the shipping info?
just got the following email and sms:
Hello,
Thank you for your recent order.
We can confirm that your order has been accepted by your chosen network and has now been passed to our Quality Team for further checks.
Kind regards,
Mobiles.co.uk
all looking good, lets just hope they have the phone soon
I phoned and asked when it was going to be shipped =) They said 11th by DHL
Mine has apparently gone into the security and credit checks. So they said to wait a few hours to get an email about it all.
Hope it all goes through ok. When did you order yours yesterday? What time?
i ordered last night around 7pm. really cant wait for this phone

Nice mate. What network? Same here. Really can't wait =D Looks beastly (in a good way)!
went for vodafone as o2 tariffs dont seem to include data. whats the current status on ur order tracking page?
Still says pending. What about yours?
On Vodafone also. For friends and family. And data of course.
Oops. Double post.
Mines still on pending although i did receive that email earlier. i tried to pre order yesterday from mobilesphonesdirect and they cancelled my order. cheeky buggers also took money from my account which will take 3 days to get back to my account..............

It takes a bit less than 3 days. I had a few orders with them, but my card wouldn't process.
So far it seems ok with mobiles.co.uk
I hope it all goes through. Seems they are finishing bits on yours, as if Vodafone have accepted your credit check, it should be fine =)
I really don't want to be disappointed. Will stop exciting myself.
Well, I phoned, and my order went through credit check fine, and is going through security check was I type.
They said to me, the status will stay as pending, until the phone is actually shipped when they get the stock in.
Sounds good to me ^^
I ordered on the O2 for £25.00 per month as the unlimited data bolt on is £7.00 and I hear bad things about Vodafone’s fair usage policy.

Just had this email from mobiles.co.uk
Hello,
Thank you for your recent order.
Unfortunately, the item you ordered is temporarily out of stock but a large delivery is expected very soon. We have placed your order for this on hold and will notify you as soon as we have more information.
Turnover of stock is often extremely quick and this can mean on rare occasions our website is not up to date. If you have not received an update on the stock situation within 24hrs please contact our Order Processing team
Rest assured that we will not charge your card for out of stock items until they are back in stock and ready for despatch.

Basically, I have passed all the credit and security checks, and now my order is in a queue for when the stock comes in.
It's an automated email to say that your order has been processed, but out of stock (not even in stock, in the case of the HD2!).
I'm so excited!

Nope. I phoned them to check on the status, and they told me I had passed the credit check, and it was going through the security checks.
Then I received that email, about it being out of stock (it's pretty much a confirmation, but as the phone isn't in stock, and it's automated, the system thinks its out of stock).
I phoned them when I got that, and they said I had passed the security check also, and that was order was now in the queue waiting for the phones to arrive, and be shipped on Wed by DHL.

ah ok, was wondering why your order has progressed further than mine
So what price plans / phone costs have you guys paid. Mobiles.co.uk seem to have quite expensive contract deals to get the phone free, and charge a lot for cheaper contracts
I reserved an epic but I don't have anything that actually says that. When I go to the store tomorrow will they just have a record of my reservation or do I need to call and get them to email me some kind of reservation paper that I can print?
you should have received an e-mail with confirmation.
This is the link provided with the confirmation to change/check on, etc your reservation:
https://securegateway.timetrade.com/sprint/modify.aspx?sid=sprintfcs-609

It says: "There are no appointments at this location associated with this phone number." I didn't enter a location, just my phone number, so I don't know what place it is checking.
If this thing is correct I'm going to be really pissed off. I called sprint like 10 times leading up to the preorder and they told me I was good to go. If I don't get an epic tomorrow this will be the last time sprint screws me over.
hmm maybe thats for my store... sorry for the confusion.
Check your junk email or something, if you reserved they would have sent you a confirmation email. subject: Your Samsung Epic 4G reservation is confirmed and it's from:
"Sprint" <[email protected]>
You should have gotten an email when you first did the reservation. Everyone else did. Have you considered the possibility of user error?
If you reserved one successfully you would have gotten 2 emails by now. One when you made the reservation, and the 2nd yesterday.
Edit: In any case, you should consider calling a Sprint store today and asking if they can reserve one for you. I honestly doubt they will sell out on day one. If they do I am sure you could get it at Radio Shack or Best Buy on day one. This isn't the iPhone, there will not be lines around the block.
Do you think we should call the Sprint Store to make sure we are all good for tomorrow? I assume since we recieved the emails we are all bueno?

Hi Guys,
Had a quick look round and didn't see this posted anywhere so thought it might be usefull to those that want to save some cash.
If you sign onto Quidco and then go to the comet site through their 2.5% cashback link and then when your at the basket in comet put in the following code 5OFF (5% off) then you will get ur Transformer for just over £351 (total of 7.5% off). Enjoy
The 5OFF code only seemed to work if I went through Quidco though.

I think that is what was meant - 2.5% plus the 5% (5OFF) code. That is what I paid also.
Yeah it is a total of 7.5%, 2.5 from comet and the code gives you 5% off. Sorry for any confusion, I have updated my post to hopefully make it clearer.
I went through Quidco and it didn't recognise 5OFF
Did I do something wrong, or has this finished?

I had a lot of hassle ordering from Comet - they rejected me using a Hotmail email account, not using my billing address as the delivery address and giving them a mobile number as contact details rather than a landline - though none of this was in the order rejection emails they sent me (first time I ordered with a debit card and got the payment problems email back, then I tried ordering with a credit card and got a message back saying they'd tried to contact me regarding problems with my order although no message or email had been left).
I had to call them up in the end and do the whole order over the phone on Saturday (received my eee Pad yesterday). The rep said they'd make a note about the problems I had ordering and the less than descriptive rejection emails I received.
Anyway, if you're still having problems, take these things into account when you're making the order.
Ahh, that makes sense! Has anyone tried using the code 50OFF?
Edit: For those running into errors with 5OFF, try 5SPRING instead.

Comet were giving you a load bull. I used my Hotmail account, billing address not same as delivery address & I also used a mobile number. No problems at all. Order was accepted 1st time with all the discount codes & it arrived today but I haven't actually opened it yet as I'm in the process of arguing with them their returns conditions.
I already have a 7" Samsung galaxy Tab which I take everywhere & I'm still on the fence as to whether the 10" size suits me. I want to try it & refund if it doesn't suit. Now Comet charge a 10% restocking fee for open box returns which I think goes against the distance selling rules here in UK.

I have a Galaxy Tab and a Transformer, and I can tell you it is very unlikely you'd travel with the Transformer instead of the Tab. However, for a coffee table tablet, the Transformer is great - the browsing experience us much closer to a full blown laptop than the Tab, and the Honeycomb apps (eg Gmail) are superb.
In summary - out and about, you'll use the Tab, but at home you'll use the Transformer except perhaps late at night in bed, when the smaller size and weight of the Tab may be preferable.
I pretty much expected this before I got my Transformer, so I'm not disappointed with my purchase.
One other thing, the Galaxy Tab is a much better media player in my opinion.
Regards,
Dave

Here has been my experience from Expansys. Please read from the bottom up.
Just a complete lack of customer service. Do you agree?
__________________________________________________________
Ok, well this seems to be a complete lost cause. I have no idea why you don’t want to serve a legitimate customer who is trying to give you money, but because of your absolute lack of service & complete disregard for a customer, I will not only be cancelling my order with you, but will go out of my way to inform as many other people by posting these emails on as many websites, blogs, technology forums & social networks as I possibly can to inform other potential clientele of your grossly poor services.
Thanks for completely wasting my time,

OK, this is just insane. I specifically asked you if & what form of proof of ID you need to continue processing my order. From that, your UK Branch totally ignores me and from the AUSTRALIAN branch, I receive a completely blank email?
I checked my order status through my Expansys online account 15 minutes ago which states that you are currently awaiting stock to complete my order; but on the MAIN PAGE OF YOUR SITE, it states that the SAMSUNG GALAXY S II is IN STOCK with +100QTY available.
This is absolutely appalling customer service, and I think you’d also agree.
I’m going to go out on a whim now and send you attachments of what was ‘sort of’ asked of me in a previous email: “Have you sent the information that we require, such as proof of address and proof of ID? I can’t see any on your order?”. If I receive no reply to this email; I am cancelling my order and will place an order through HANDTEC.CO.UK.

Hello EXPANSYS staff,
For my order: 14KN0121B85C, the status says: AWAITING FURTHER INFO – Followed by
“You are required to send further information before this order can be processed. The request for further information has been sent to you by email. If you have not received an email please contact us.This order is on hold until the information is received. We apologise for any inconvenience this causes.”
I have yet to receive any other email other then my Pre-Order Confirmation. I don’t wish to hold up my order.
Kind regards,
Chris Maier
That's terrible. If you had to order from them, you could have tried canceling and redoing your order since they are now in stock and no longer a preorder. But, since you don't have to, glad you canceled and are taking your money elsewhere.
Anyways, they need to do a better job with their customer service, the dates between your first few emails were more than long enough to be replied to.
That being said, I don't know if Handtec is the best choice since they don't even show up as in stock yet and some users are getting tracking numbers while others are not. But I don't know if anyone else is having better service.
Anyways, thanks, I'll probably stay clear of Expansys if I ever have to do something like this.
damn that sucks for you, i went through clove from the start they responded the next working day everytime. soemtimes even same day. hadntec was similar too but clove was better at keeping me upto date which is why i went with them instead. these guys seem to really suck
Did they get any email from you? Seems like maybe your email bounced every time.....
OP: not to be nit picking, but your first email to them simply stated a fact ("I have yet to receive any other email other then my Pre-Order Confirmation. I don’t wish to hold up my order."), your second email reminded them that you had stated a fact ("This is the 2nd time I have send this email requesting information;"), and only your third email actually had an explicit question to them ("DO I NEED TO SEND YOU MORE INFORMATION SO I CAN GET MY ORDER SHIPPED?!"), and they promptly answered this one
Then a few emails later you volunteer info to them (drivers license, credit card, address) - identity theft is not wide spread in your area? In the USA a crook can take out a small house loan in your name with this info
Then you receive no response to that from them, and abruptly email them asking to cancel the order? How much time had passed since you sent them the attachments with the info?
You sure there was nothing in the spam folder of your mail client? You have a little kid who might have hit some buttons and deleted a couple emails?
My point is you did not show enough compelling evidence to 100% prove they are bad and remove any doubt. I am not saying they are good. I actually think they are bad, just asking for cleanness.
^ but he wasted 5-6 days.
If they had responded the first time he wrote, he could have submitted the documents on 27th itself and he would have his set flying to him by now. I guess thats his main issue and its completely justified considering they had 2 working days before long holiday to respond.
I too have had problems contacting them by email to cancel an order in the past (sent 3 emails over 4 days without reply), I have found it it's much easier to harass them by phone. Also their stock information system highly confusing and potentially misleading.
Sent from my GT-I9100 using XDA App
zakeen: Yes, I received an email from the UK Branch & an empty email from the Australian Branch.
kreoXDA: Since I pre-ordered on the 19 April, my order status said: AWAITING FURTHER INFO etc. I have ordered many times from overseas and I was expecting them to ask for proof of ID and a copy of a CC statement or utility bill; this is quite normal. I did not receive anything from them asking for this information and emailed them to ask if they needed more information, or to see if the order status was just automated while they were waiting for stock. I am not worried of Identity theft; I know how to cover documents. I think 99% of people would believe that I most definitely have proven that I am in the right here.
Funkym0nkey: Totally agree. This is a HUGE company and someone SHOULD have at least responded.
dimaru: I am in Australia. I would call them if call rates weren't through the roof for international calls and time differences weren't so great. Email is just far better economically. We're all trying to save money these days.
Well I am sorry it was so bad. Shady grey resellers do not provide top notch service. Thanks for sharing your experience.

Hi,
I was wondering if anyone else pre-ordered from the Samsung Experience Store in the UK to have the phone delivered. (The one the Samsung UK site directs you to.)
When I ordered this phone, I was told it would be with me by the Friday. (Today) In fact I was told it could be here before but that it was guaranteed for Friday. I received an emailed invoice, then since then I have had no contact, no tracking details, no notification of delays etc… I tried phoning the store today, and a disinterested young man took my name and number saying he would check and let me know. That was now almost 8 hours ago. Subsequent attempts to call again have left me at a voicemail machine. So about 3 hours ago I sent an email. Also no reply.
Did anyone get there's, did I make a mistake ordering from them or am I just unlucky.
Any feedback would be good, as it seems I wont get any from them.
Thanks
