Is quick pin unlock possible? - G2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I really liked this feature in AOKP. When you enter your pin code to unlock the phone you don't have hit ok. The phone automatically unlocks after the 4 digit pin is correctly entered. Hoping a developer might be able to add this mod to the G2..

Froyo Changed Security Lock?

EDIT: Just realized I was in the Dev section and this should have been posted in General, sorry.
Never had Froyo before, just wondering if this change is just part of Froyo itself or just the update we received.
Just seems that I can't turn off or modify the Security Lock. I used to just have my pattern, but now you have the unlock it and then do the pattern. Not a huge deal...just an extra step.
Thanks!
I miss my slide slide lock
The 2.2 update dropped that feature which also prevents us from having a slide only unlock. You have the option of pin lock, pattern lock, or password lock. No more just the standard android slide to unlock. Please tell me I'm missing something here. Hope its just hiding in plain sight =/

No, you can still have standard slide unlock. Just disable screen unlock security in the settings.
Maybe mine is messed up. If I turn off security it has no unlock feature. I press the top unlock button and it takes me straight to the home screen.
Hmm yeah, that's weird. It actually got me thinking, if I were to disable lock screen completely, I don't see an option there except that Security unlock option. Which is set to None for me right now.
Yeah I checked with other fellow x owners and they have the same problem. Any one else having this issue? Or maybe a fix?

It's not just the ota I've had this issue from the very first 2.2 leak. I miss that option.

Not sure this applies to anyone, but I noticed I now have an enforced security policy from the exchange server my X is connected to. I have to either use the pass-code or password. I can't use none or the pattern unlock.
So, if you have a corporate exchange account they can enforce specific security requirements. They can also remote wipe your phone if you loose it, which seems nice for the corporate world.

^false information. Myself and 3 coworkers with the OTA 2.2 all have the same issue with this redundant unlock process. You are no longer able to ONLY have to slide to unlock or ONLY have a pattern/pin/passowrd to unlock. You have to make this redundant slide to unlock then enter pattern. Not a big deal just an annoying extra step for no apparent reason/benefit. This is my biggest complaint w/2.2. Everything else is gravy!

I'm not on OTA, but 2.3.15 Leak. Should be the same. I can set it to just Slide or Slide/Pattern. I can't set it to just Pattern.
Edit: Hard reset makes the stock slide unlock come back.
My co worker did the upgrade and has access to the slide only unlock. I'm thinking about a hard reset to see if that will fix it.

Lockscreen N00bish Question?

Hi,
Just wondered, is there a way to have a pin on the galaxy s, but also still get the lock screen before the pin screen appears.
At the moment i found a nice lockscreen, had it all set how i like it, but then when i set a pin code i only get a pin screen when i unlock the phone.
I hope you follow what im asking?
Anyone able to shed some light on this?
Could you be litle more detailed with your question????

I know that! But i dont want to go back to Miui. I find stock ROM with a good kernel responds and works better with better battery life IMO.
My question is this:
Set lock screen works great
Then set PIN and you ONLY get a PIN screen and NO LOCK SCREEN at all.
I hope that makes sense?
No one at all?
I use Locale with Password lock plugin they just working as you need, only password/pin requested, no screen unlock action required.
Ops, sorry, I was wrong. It also needs a screen unlock before the password/pin.

[Q] [ROM SDSL] code pin and flying mode

Hi,
I installed this rom yesterday.
When left the flying mode, the code pin in require.
So if i'm not in front of my phone for enter the pin code, i can't receive anything.
Is their any option or app to tweak an automatic pin code entry?
Thanks

its normal to enter pin after flight mode.
if you don't want to enter the pin just disable pin in settings (security > SIM > uncheck it )

yeh,
i think also.

Hello,
In all Android ROMs, originally or custom, (if the pin code is activated : Security -> sim), we have to enter the pin code after flying mode.

[Q] Has anyone figured out a way to...

... use the swipe unlock WITH a pattern or pin after the swipe?
Settings. Lockscreen. Set secured lock device to a longer time and you will get swipe after first pattern unlock. Mine is set to 5 min.
maybe i'm just doing it wrong. but its not working how i mentioned in the OP.. i'm saying i want to use swipe unlock and directly after that pattern, or pin or password will pop up.. my friends note 2 has a check box that says "With Swipe Lock".. wth would samsung take this out? ridiculous..

Got it. Not sure but possibly removed since were dealing with 4.22 multiple lockscreens rather than just one, previous to the s4

OxygenOS Suggestion

In lock application it uses same pin which is used to unlock the phone. Instead it should ask for different pin for application lock.
