hi to all,
where can i get such application?i know s2u2 but does it hv pin lock?
If you're asking if S2U2 has a pin lock built into it, the answer is no. If you're asking if you can use your phone's pin lock, the answer is yes. It works fine on my 6800.

thanks i think u answer my question......any other alternatives?
Is it possible to have both a swipe lock and a pin lock? I want to have a pin lock if the phone hasn't been used or unlocked for 30 minutes and a swipe lock to avoid accidentally unlocking the phone. The pin lock is a requirement for accessing a corporate Exchange account.
It worked on my old Nexus One with CyanogenMod 7.2. But I haven't figured it out on my Nexus 4 with CyanogenMod 10.1 nightly
I'm sure this would be possible using tasker if you have any experience with that app. In fact tasker allows you to pin lock only certain applications which may come in handy for you. You should look it up if you haven't heard of it before.

I was able to set a pin lock with Tasker using Secure settings. But I'm not sure what will happen if I disable the pin lock and switch to Swipe lock a hundred times a day. Perhaps the corporate security admin will wipe my phone :silly:
Could it be solved by using another lock screen than stock?

Installing Widget Locker solved my problem :good:

Switch between swipe and pin (or pattern)
Has anyone found a possible solution?
I LOVE swipe lock, dashclock, and quick apps etc. But at work, I would prefer a pin. When I don't want the pin anymore, instead of diabling a lock screen all together, how can I set it to revert back to a swipe lock screen?
***side note unrelated (don't hate me) ****
share a related thread?
I have been searching forever for a way for Tasker to realize im driving and change settings etc because Im going say 20mph (even just for a few seconds) would indicate that I am likely driving.
*********thanks for not hating me***************
Here are some resources for lock screens:

Possibilities:

Thanks!
IDEA: at location 1 --> enable pin at location 2--> disable pin
A toggle as listed above for random situations like a baseball game etc.
I hate pattern or code to unlock phone unless I'm out in public. Is there an app or widget that allows you to just press a button or two to switch these. So when I leave the house I can tap once or twice and switch from a no security swipe to unlock to a preset pattern or code?

Tried Tasker?
Look up app "Skiplock". When connected to wifi, the lockscreen will be just stardard swipe. When wifi is disable or wifi connection is lost (i.e, leaving home), the lockscreen will automatically turn to pin / password lockscreen. Root required for a pattern lockscreen. Finger scanner currently not compatible.

Which, unless OP has a rooted Dev S5, the app you mentioned is not a viable option.

OP asked for code or pattern lockscreen. I said that code (pin / password) lockscreen works, but only pattern requires root.
Hey,
is it possible to unlock the phone with fingerprints without having to lock the phone with pins or something?
The only reason for me using the fingerprint unlock is that it's the quickest and easiest way of unlocking the phone.
I don't need/ want the extra "security".
I think no, but why would you wan't to disable PIN since you don't need to use it?

So, what happens that time you just can't get the fingerprint to unlock?
The PIN/Pattern is there for that eventuality.
If need be it's there for someone else to unlock if there is an emergency and you can't use your fingerprint.

To clarify things: I want no unnecessary "security".
Just fingerprint unlock and swiping to unlock.
When I tap on notifications, I want them to open up immediately instead of asking for pin or anything.

If I'd disable the pin, it would also disable the fingerprint unlock. But I just want fingerprint and swipe to unlock.
I don't want the pins or anything else to block the unlocking when I double tap on a notification.
Wait, if you have swipe to unlock (to access your notifications), why would you need fingerprint access? You (or anyone else) could just double tap your notifications to see them and then have full access to your system.
Outside of the first unlock after a reboot, you can just use your fingerprint to unlock when you see the PIN screen (such as when double tapping a notification).
Either way though, the answer is "No." You cannot have fingerprint authentication without a PIN/Pattern lock on any Android (or iOS device for that matter). The systems won't allow it.

If you have both fingerprint unlock and pin enabled you only need to enter your pin the first time after boot. After entering it that one time you will be able to unlock your screen with fingerprint only until you reboot the phone again. Entering the pin once isn't that much of an inconvenience.
I think its really required to have a backup security when using a fingerprint to unlock the phone. Though you just have to unlock it once with pin and then fingerprint all the way!

I am amazed by the fact that no one else than you actually understood what I want and what the problem is.
Even after clarifying...
I guess I'll ask for it in the xposed module requests section.

The problem is still that I want swipe + fingerprint.
I don't use the fingerprint as security. I use it to unlock it quicker.
I use the pattern. And I don't want others to be locked out of my phone. And I don't want to say what my pattern is all the time.
And I want to be able to open a notification just by a double tap.
It's inconcovient to use double tap AND fingerprint to open a simple notification.
Xposed isn't going to help at all in this case. Sorry, but the API (Application Program Interface) that deals with fingerprints is very strict in what it can/can't do and that's by design. This cannot be modified.
Your best option is to use something like Smart Lock, where you can have the phone automatically unlock when connected to a trusted Wi-Fi, Bluetooth device, or even carrying the phone.

Haha thanks, but they also have their points. You really need a backup security method if you're using biometric unlocking. For example, you're using a fingerprint, iris scanner, or face recognition, it is really required to have a backup "secured" "in-screen" unlocking method for your phone. It means that, when your biometric scanners broke for some reason, you have other way to unlock it.
Its a no brainer for the developers to allow fingerprint for unlocking then if it fails, you just have to swipe the phone to unlock. Unless its really for speed of, I guess, half a second of your life. It's really an essential feature, because in a case when your phone gets stolen, the thief can just break the scanner or just try it a lot until it requires you to just "unsecured" swipe it up. So I'll advice you to just use half a second of your life to unlock a pattern (the easiest and fastest other way). You just have to swipe at least 4 dots and then your phone is now secured the easiest and fastest way.
I think what he meant was that he wants to unlock his phone with the home button as an unlock button, and without any fingerprint security. Am I right?
Let me correct myself. Literally no one understood what I mean.
Just close this thread if possible. I'm not writing anymore.
We did understand what you are wanting to do; we've just said that it is not possible.

This is exactly what OP wants, convenience without security.
But since it can't be done, the next best thing is remove security and double tap to wake up.
you will need two commits

I'd like to keep fingerprints to use with App Lock and such but without using the lockscreen. Any way to keep them?
I also want this, so it works like a password for apps
but I don't like to unlock my phone at all, just swipe on the lockscreen
I searched a lot, found another thread someone wanted this too
but nobody understood him, they thought he wants only Fingerprint without pin?
but why is it not possible to use Fingerprint (and backup pin or password) ONLY for applock, and not on the lockscreen

In addition to the FP, use on body detection and face unlock.
That should reduce if not eliminate the need to unlock the phone manually.

But then I can't swipe on the lockscreen, there's no lock at all, so if I was previously in whatsapp I would be instantly online, instead of just reading messages on the lockscreen

Try using the app No Lock :
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.jraf.android.nolock&hl=en_US
I don't use the FPR,or,any lockscreen for that matter,so,IDK if this will work.
I used it on other phones where you had to use at minimum a swipe to open & it bypassed that requirement, perhaps it'll do the same in this situation.

I don't mind a lock screen on my phone.
I want my phone to lock.

Thanks for the suggestion. Tried it, but still have to swipe to get in. I'm not sure of other OS' but TouchWiz allowed for it. I'll write OnePlus Dev's to hopefully include it on an update. Also, native rear flash notification since we don't have a led for it.
