[Q] Rom Problems Custom to Stock - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshootin

Hello Folks, I have a problem that has occurred to my SGH-I337M. I was on a custom ROM and decided to go back to stock. I downloaded the proper .zip file from samfirmware and ODIN flashed it. Low and behold I have flashed the Bell firmware and with no luck with multiple attempts cannot get to the rogers RWC firmware to upload. I have retried ODIN twice with multiple redownloads, even used KIES with a Emergency recovery. Any advise??

All fixed up. Had the chance to do some reading. Change the csc code and away we go. Thanks.

Before i start messing with my S4, i had this on original
AP: M919VVLUAMDC
CP: M919VVLUAMDC
CSC: M919VYVLAMDC
I rooted it and i install wicked roms on it since someone told me M919 is the same thing. installaing it gave me this build.
AP:M919VVLUAMDJ
CP:M919VVLUAMDJ
CSC: M919VYVLAMDJ
I had a problem with the wifi going around .3 mpbs download and /1.65 mpbs as upload on speedtest.
I restore it to the rom that is available on sammobile for my version but now i still have that version number and my internet is so slow on it.
I even use samsung skies to put the firmware they have but it still the same number now and my problem still exist.
Is there a way to return back to my original number(M919VVLUAMDC ?) i already did a backup with TWRP back in the time but im not sure if it could help.
Flash with odin back to stock then do factory reset.

[Q] Flashing back to stock from international ROM

I need to take my AT&T Galaxy S4 I337 to my AT&T store to switch it for a new one because the volume buttons are sticky and don't click properly. I flashed back to stock I337UCUAMDB with ODIN using the files from this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2261573
I was running the GOLDENEYE 10 ROM which uses the international Samsung ROM running Android 4.3 and is modded to work on the I337. I put the phone into download mode and successfully flashed the phone but the phone does not get past the AT&T boot screen. I successfully flashed the phone again and I got the same result. I am suspecting that there might be an issue flashing the stock AT&T firmware while running an international ROM. I would like to know how I can flash back to any of the stock AT&T firmwares so that I can return my phone without voiding my warranty.
Also, I would like to know if it is possible to use the Triangle Away app on the I337 to reset the flash counter. The XDA thread for this app says that you must unlock the bootloader to use this app for the I337. I am not familiar with how to unlock the bootloader for this device. Any help with resetting the flash counter would be much appreciated.
Thank you in advance.
Try to Re-download the firmware. Reinstall drivers and or a different USB port/wire.
There is no way to unlock the bootloader. But yes you can use triangle away.

Thank you for your suggestion but since the method I tried did not work in the first place, I went ahead and fixed my phone using the method I found in this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2558869
All of the files in this thread worked perfectly to restore my phone back to stock.
After you odin back to stock you MUST DO A FACTORY RESET within recovery, all will work.

Help after 4.4.2 upgrade

I was running X Note on 4.3 and decided to upgrade to xnote 8 . I downloaded the official polish 4.4 firmware and followed the instructions and every thing seemed fine, I lost my TWRP recovery so i decided to reinstall my custom recovery. But now i have done that my phone is stuck in a boot loop. What have i done wrong?
I have tried the chain fire method and the Goomanager method but none are working?
My phone is up and running on stock 4.4.2 but i cant install any custom recoverys. What can i do?
Probably using the wrong version of custom recovery. Grab the latest CWM by chenglu (.06 ) or the newest TWRP and you should be OK
I have tried both of the latest Cwm and TWRP and even cf auto but it still won't root my phone

Hi mate
I flashed the the KK firmware from sammobile with the update boot loader ticked. Booted back into the stock rom fine but what ever method i use to flash a custom recovery just fails. When i tried the Goomanager method my phone boot loops and i have to re flash the phone again. I have tried both the latest versions of TWRP and CWM. Never had any problems like this before. When i 1st got the phone i did the chain fire method which takes less than 30 seconds but this also doesn't work know.
I took the phone back to carphone warehouse this morning and they have sent it off for repair. Hopefully ill get a note 3 back running 4.3 and ill wait for the official firmware:good:

[Q] Galaxy Note 3 9005 - Unresponsive after restoring stock firmware through Odin???

Hi guys, I'm new to this forum but have read many things on it and have gotten lots of help, but this question NEEDS a new thread!
I have been using my International Galaxy Note 3 (9005) for about 9 months, I bought it from Kogan in Australia and just recently I decided to root it using CF-Auto Root and then flash X-Note build 18.
A couple of days ago I decided that I didn't like X-Note that much so I tried and flashed Omega Rom. That all worked fine but I didn't really like any of the custom Roms and I just wanted to go back to stock.
So I download (for the first time) the newly released KitKat Australian SM-N9005 Firmware from SamMobile and tried to flash it through Odin straight over Clockwork mod recovery and over the Omega Rom that I currently had installed. When it finished it said that it had failed and something about the Ext4 not being valid, I was shocked (his had never happened to me before with Odin).
I no longer could boot into recovery and the phone said to plug it into Samsung Kies 3 and do an emergency recovery, So i plugged it in and it said that the device was not recognized, and it would not show up in the device list within the emergency recovery window.
So I did a lot of Googleing and came to the conclusion that It was probably the N9005 Australian Rom not being compatible. So after all of these errors and such I booted back into download mode and tried to install one of the other Kitkat Official firmwares that had worked fine before.
It installed just fine and Odin said reset and I unplugged it. but when it booted for the first time I was getting boot loops continually and when and now as I just start to go through the setup process the interface lags and it flashes black a few times and says I have no Sim card in (Which I DO!) and it restarts several times and IS ALL OVER THE PLACE!
It also takes about ten seconds or more after pushing the power button in to get the display to display again and it is unusable and behaving all weird.
The first few times I flash the stock firmware on it through Odin, it remembered my wallpaper, which is really weird seeing I factory reset it!
My best guess is that Flashing it through Odin and and factory reseting it is just not completely clearing it/wiping it and the system is all messed up and stuff is left over.
I don't no WHAT to do!!!! I can't even use it and it's driving me crazy can somebody, please help me!!!!
Thank you!
Look in to omega rom which version of android base it's used, flash same version of stock rom, may not available for Australian but u can flash other countries stock rom, try this & good luck.

Hi why would I have to flash the same android base as omega and what actually is Android Base?
Also will this fix it and how do I check the android base?
Thanks
If omega rom has higher bootloader version, it will not allow to downgrade if Australia stock firmware version is lower, to find out of version u must look at omega rom u flashed.

Should I try a 'Mega Wipe' to completely format it? - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2501577
And I was just reading something about no signal and IMEI, I have no signal and it says no sim card, does that mean I've lost my IMEI forever??
When I was installing x-note I thought EFS backup meant a CMR full backup
As long as I know Dr.ketan tools & utility is for SM-N 900 3g version note3, but u can read more & do it as you want.

No, I have i337 AT&T, but I have problems with flashing ROMs, and I do not know the reason.
I downloaded already 12 ROMs, but only one flashed good, but still without result. I can see onle screen with "Galaxy S4"
It seems to me tha this version is suitable for me http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=46804713&postcount=2 but is was deleted from filehost
Make sure you have kies and the correct odin version. Maybe use another computer or reinstall windows on your computer and start from the clean slate if desperate. I have experienced that. It happens when your computer has some problems.
Omega ROM isn't made for AT&T variant S4.
If you did not flash a kernel compatible for AT&T after you flash the rom then you will not be able to boot up into the system.
Go back to your custom recovery, and install a ROM that's specifically made for AT&T like Golden Eye and so on then it should boot up fine. Also make sure you do a wipe before you install the Rom.
