Hi,
Has anyone had any success in bypassing the lockscreen upon startup when using an Exchange Email server with this phone? I've tried about 3-4 different xposed mods with no success. I would love to be able to use a lockscreen widget or even just bypass the lockscreen altogether. Thanks.
I tinkered more with Wanam and got it working. Thanks.
Hi, can you explain how you did it since I haven't got it to work.
Thanks.

So I upgraded to one of the DK17 ROMs with the DK17 modem. Everything is working great! Until I tried to put in my work's exchange settings. I was greeted with this security policy thing of like 15 items. Umm...no thanks! I paid for this phone, I pay the bill! I never had this issue on 2.1, not even on stock 2.1. Googling around I find this is a new 2.2 thing.
Is there a way around this? I found an Email.apk in the EVO section here at XDA but it wouldn't install. I would like to read my email on my phone but I'm not going to agree on all the non-sense they want to enforce.
Here's a few of them:
Delete All Data (Factory Reset)
Reset Password
Limit passwords
Auto-lock
Control attachments
Require ManualSync when Roaming (HUH?!?)
Allow POP IMAP EMAIL (going to be able to control my other email!?)
Enable or disable storage card
Enable or disable camera
Enable or disable wifi
Enable or disable text messaging
Enable or disable web browser
Enable or disable Internet Sharing
Enable or disable bluetooth
Require SD Card encryption
And I skipped some of the stupid ones... sheesh! No thanks on allowing those.
Anyone have a way around this? I know there was a Lockpicker program for 2.1 but this is 2.2.

My guess is that this is enforced off of BlackBerry policy. Android 2.1 didn't really have a lot to do with Active Sync security until FroYo. I would go get K9 Mail in the market, its free and it is based off AOSPs mail client (at least it initially was, they may be so far out of sync now its ridiculous.) But I love K9 for my mail - given its Zimbra and Not MX.
Played with K9 Mail...and all the possible settings I could try for exchange but it won't pull down my mail. Oh well... I'll just have to live without my work email on my phone.

Touchdown is the only other thing I could suggest.
in gingerbread, I used to have pattern lock support for exchange server. but with ics upgrade it asks me to use a pin or password which is quite annoying.
is there any way for me to enable pattern lock for exchange? im in stock LPY.

I'm hoping that whoever released the "tweaked" mail.apk and exchange.apk that removes the need to Exchange security will release an updated version very shortly.
Once I have found it, or if you find it, post the link here!
That would be great. I'm also trying to figure out ways around this but have not found any option other than a tweaked apk. For the record Touchdown and Roadsync behave the same way. On GB roms I could use the pattern unlock with no problem, but now all exchange clients behave the same as the stock email app. I think they are getting their cue from ICS directly and maybe a newer version will fix the issue.
Hey guys, need some help. I'm using the Apex Launcher on my Nexus 7 and it seems like I can't get my notifications to work. I use Juice Defender which disables my internet on standby mode but even after I open my Nexus some apps don't refresh automatically and I don't get the notifications (i.e. Facebook, Gmail), which is slightly annoying and I can't seem to find a fix.
Anyone there nice enough to lend me a hand? It would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
Did it ever work before and it just stopped working or did it never work? Is sync enabled?

It seemed to stop working after I got Apex Launcher, also my Gmail Calendar doesn't update also when I click refresh, really weird. Where's the Enable Sync button? :\
Settings, Accounts, and then each account has its own sync settings that you can change.

I cant speak for the Note but back when i had to have company email on exchange (Nexus 1 and thunderbolt) you needed to be on an deODEXd ROM and have the hacked mail app to do it.
I got it to work with Wanam.

How did you get it to work with winam. I tried ticking bypass exchange still no go
Hey all, I'm trying to get the Email app bypassing the forced pin lock when you set up a corporate exchange account. Has anybody had luck on Kitkat? The method I used on JB is no longer working, and I've tried a couple more with no luck.
Thanks!
Colby
There's some Xposed module for it. Bypass exchange security or something like that.

Just use mailwise or enhanced email. They bypasses the pin lock.
