Hey all, I'm trying to get the Email app bypassing the forced pin lock when you set up a corporate exchange account. Has anybody had luck on Kitkat? The method I used on JB is no longer working, and I've tried a couple more with no luck.
Thanks!
Colby
There's some Xposed module for it. Bypass exchange security or something like that.

Just use mailwise or enhanced email. They bypasses the pin lock.

Is there an app or a hacked email apk that lets you bypass the Exchange security (PIN code required) that my work server has set up on it? I ask because I'd like to answer emails for them, but don't want the annoyance of the PIN every five minutes (I'd rather use the pattern unlock).
I'd guess NO, because that's an Activesync security feature? But maybe someone wrote a version that caches it, although it's likely more complicated than you think, requiring certs and back-and-forth from phone to server.
Just use TouchDown. It's not cheap (19.95), but its worth it IMO to be able bypass the pin annoyance. You can try the free version for 30 days.
My phone quite requesting the pin for exchange server after the Verizon update (the original OTA update). It only requests it on startup (and the server side setting haven't changed-tested on multiple devices). Anybody else exprience that?

Mine seems to only request the password every 30 min or so

in gingerbread, I used to have pattern lock support for exchange server. but with ics upgrade it asks me to use a pin or password which is quite annoying.
is there any way for me to enable pattern lock for exchange? im in stock LPY.

I'm hoping that whoever released the "tweaked" mail.apk and exchange.apk that removes the need to Exchange security will release an updated version very shortly.
Once I have found it, or if you find it, post the link here!
That would be great. I'm also trying to figure out ways around this but have not found any option other than a tweaked apk. For the record Touchdown and Roadsync behave the same way. On GB roms I could use the pattern unlock with no problem, but now all exchange clients behave the same as the stock email app. I think they are getting their cue from ICS directly and maybe a newer version will fix the issue.
Hi,
Has anyone had any success in bypassing the lockscreen upon startup when using an Exchange Email server? I've tried about 3-4 different xposed mods with no success. I would love to be able to use a lockscreen widget or even just bypass the lockscreen altogether. Thanks.

I cant speak for the Note but back when i had to have company email on exchange (Nexus 1 and thunderbolt) you needed to be on an deODEXd ROM and have the hacked mail app to do it.
I got it to work with Wanam.

Hi, can you explain how you did it since I haven't got it to work.
Thanks.
Hi all,
I want to buy S8, but my only worry is that the app I'm using to bypass exchange policy will not work. (App name "Exchange Security Bypass" from Xposed Module Repository)
I tried it on S7 and it didn't work. so at the moment I'm still with my S5.
Anyone tried it by any chance on S8?
or any other app that can help me bypass the Exchange security? (our company forces encryption & being device admin on our devices which to both I say - NO).
Would like to mention that my device is not rooted and I'd prefer to not root the S8. the app above works like a charm on an S5 without root.
Thanks,
Poly
I've used nine email to bypass exchange policy, might be worth trying that.
I'm a Nine user

But since the policy comes from Exchange all I got was one mail in the Nine app saying that only once I finish encrypting & adding the company as device administrators the mail will work again.
Once I installed the app of Exchange bypass on the S5 - it started working again.
Do you know if Nine added a security baypass as a new thing and potentially I don't need the bypass anymore?
thanks,
Poly
Nine allow you to apply security at the application level. Since S8 is encrypted by default, unless your company push a lot more weird policy like blocking camera and such, it shouldn't be that bad anymore.
The "Exchained" app doesn't need rooting and works with Nine too.
