Does anyone else have problems with their reception? I've always had 4G at my house with full bars now I sometimes get 4G but mostly 3 with 2 bars.

Mine is the same as my note 2. Were u on an aosp ROM before? I know sometimes they report differently. Check the dBm and see if they are the same.
I live in the middle of nowhere and I have great reception

How's everyone's signal strength and gps lock?
I know the typical complaint of Samsung is the radios. Can everyone who has a us version share the experience regarding sign strength? Thanks

My Telus model has a 2 second GPS lock in my house. Reception is good too. WiFi signal is similar to my computer's. No complaints here.

Why would that be...weird? Sounds like maybe a network upgrade or a change in the wind (not literally, though precipitation and certain cloud cover can matter).

Well not weird in a bad way just like I'm in pa so I'm getting LTE in like 4 months but I was like did they upgrade because when. They do LTE they should update hspa+ to that's what I heard from T-Mobile so yea

I'm getting much better reception at home (about 10 down on average) and 20 in the central part of town. I never got above 7 down at home on my G2x.
This is my first post. Finally emerging from the shadows.

I still have spotty coverage, constant complete loss of service and random 50kbps download speeds while showing full 4g right in the heart of Baltimore.

I've been getting the same darn signal everywhere I go.

My basement gets 3G/H+ now! :good:
I.have had my s4 for a few days now, and it seems reception is not as good as my s3 was. I am sitting here and my wife's s3 has 4 bars of service, while my s4 has no bars... can anyone help?

If you have not updated your PRL and Profile yet from the house then should go ahead and do that. What modem/firmware are you on? MDC or MDL?
Also, just keep in mind that the signal bars on a lot of devices are not entirely accurate. I had an S3 before getting the S4 and my reception has been about the same but I didn't have both phones at one time to sit together and compare signal bars.
You need to find out the dBm strength to really know how strong the signal is and not go off the signal bars. Try using this on both phones: Network Signal Info and then compare.
I am mdl, I.also installed the program u recommend, and it's sayin -79. But my data is slow.. I have a airwave in my house from Sprint, could that be what's messing with my service??

I have had the LTE fix on my phone for about two weeks now and today it is not showing up. Is 4G down in the LA area? Is anyone else having this problem?

I'm over in the IE, and LTE is going strong.
This is really weird. All the APN settings and the radio is still there. Nothing has changed except I'm just not getting 4G anymore

Have you rebooted lately? I know if I reboot, then the setting in 4636 changes to WCDMA Preferred. I have to go back and change it to LTE/GSM, then turn the radio off and back on before it will connect to LTE.
Not sure if that is normal, but that's what happens to me.
I just did a factory wipe and I rebooted everything works now. Really weird though. It happened right after I put LTE on my girls Nexus 4 and it's not working on hers right now either. I'll wipe hers when I get home I guess.

I get those speeds on occassion in chicago but that doesn't really even matter. the LTE signal seems to penetrate building better.

I noticed that, it still isn't where I need it to be but it's definitely gotten better.
These are my speeds, not the highest but I'm happy with them! I'm in NYC, btw

Anyone else seeing poor reception in fringe areas? My S5 will get 1x data where my 6p won't even pick up signal. Just curious how others fare

Anyone?

Heh my entire area is fringe. For what it's worth, my wife's v10 does no better. Lol

Well I love my 6p for all reasons except reception... My phone sat with no signal while my co-workers s6 and my S5 bounced from 3g to 4g without dropping signal entirely... Really wish I could afford a new phone...
