[Q] galaxy s4 zero lemon signal issue - Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have bought zero lemon about a month ago. And I stayed having signal issues I thought it was my service provider but it wasn't. When ever I used Samsung original cover the signals were fine. So I was thinking it's there any way to boost my phone signals with the user of aluminium foil if I put it in my phone. Eagerly waiting for response .
And it's my first time on this forum

Is the new radio from DMD64 working for you?

I installed the new radio yesterday and I haven't had the chance to see if it increases battery life because I was using my phone more than usual today, but has any1 noticed any improvements in battery life?

It seems slightly better (could be placebo), but I do notice that after about 14 hours or more, my 3G/network connection would suddenly disappear (nothing to do with the settings) and I would need to reboot for it to return to normal.
Signal strength seems alright. But I did not test the wifi.
Been using it for a week or 2 now and no issues so far, haven't necessarily noticed any difference in battery life but signal strength does seem to be boosted even if only slightly.
Been using the new radio for a couple weeks here too. I haven't noticed any change in battery life whatsoever. T-Mo signal is ****ty inside the building I work in and that hasn't improved. Signal outside may have improved. No 3G here to test.
Short version: It doesn't seem to hurt, so why not?
I have been using the new radio.
I flashed it on my G1, as well as my girlfriend's MT3G.
I live in a brick building which eats cell phone signal for breakfast.
I must say, since I've upgraded, I get better signal, as well as more reliable voice and data connections on my G1. I have EDGE service only at my house.
I have also noticed better 3G signal when I am at work, and I actually am able to access EDGE from the basement at work (I previously had no signal in the basement).
Now my girlfriend still seems to be having issues getting reliable voice and data connections, although her idle signal strength seems to have improved, at home, at least, on her MT3G.

LOSE OF SIGNAL 4.0.2.A.0.42 are you noticed?

I have also many problems with signal in places where i hadn`t before . And I'm from SPAIN with 4.0.2.A.0.42, even recommended to put it in airplane mode
In 4.0.2.A.0.58 update Are they fixed ?
Yes, using the lt15i rom and at certain spots, the signal will reset every hr or so. I am in canada with rogers

for me, .58 is by far having the best battery life for me....
Im on .58 still having this problem !
Is this doomkernel faulty? Im using doom kernel
I should note I use LT15a, you should state your model. I'm using doomkernel v15 with no issue, stock ROM otherwise.
I got problem with my Neo too since I update to .42. Not the biggest issue but I notice in the battery graph much more time without a signal than before. Stock ROM and Kernel here.
thats what i say.
anybody has the same problem
I dont know if its same as you guys but my bars are always fulklk cause I have very good signal in my area but if I go battery usage and click on the graph it shows my signal as orangy colour which means signal is crap. Normally its always green. I only noticied this since .42
Exactly the same men
Yes i'm also facing the same issue of signal drop and reception getting refreshed every time after update. Since i'm on 3G 24/7 I have also noticed that the phone gets bit heated up every time in standby also causing the battery drain fast.
Try the .368 baseband (-36) with the latest firmware. The reception issue will disappear. I'm using it for quite sometime and it's pretty stable and neat.
How I change the baseband ?

Use the latest Flashtool (Look into the development section) to flash baseband only from any ROM.
I didnt notice that.

Dramatic Battery life improvement

I had been suffering terrible battery life of late espically with Blue tooth enabled, however just recently 2 events occurred that coincided with a dramatic improvement
1. I switched from T-Mobile (UK) to GiffGaff
2. Partly as a result of that switch (and me being a little thick and forgetting to apply the ADN settings in order to get internet over 3g working after the switch over) I carried out a factory reset via the Settings -> About Phone menu options
Since I have done this my battery life has gone from less than a day to at least 2 days and possibly into 3 and that is with Blue tooth switched on
I am not sure that these 2 events caused it but something has happened all of a sudden to make such an improvement
fyi:
O/S 7.10.8107.79
F ver 1.1.7.10
R Ver 1.1.7.10
it's the factory reset. helps for some users. i'm not ready to reset and reinstall though. got too many maps downloaded on the phone. so i'll stick to my spare charger...
I tried resetting to check if it worked for me. And it didnt. The remaining battery estimate was reset and hence it estimated more battery life than the real experience. After a week or so the letter was back "to normal": 1 day and a few hours... my firmware is 1.0.16.10 though.

Cellphone's battery usually lasts longer when in a carrier with stronger signal. Maybe the signal of your new carrier is stronger than the old one where you stay for the most part of your day.

This is definately true, GiffGaff (O2) has a much stronger signal where I live / work , I couldn't get a signal in our office down south, but now I get 5 bars!
So far I have gone 2 days and 4 hours with our charging and battery life is at 39%

True... a phone that is not receiving a strong signal will continually seek a better connection... thus eating up battery.
Setting to a lower band for voice & text will greatly increase battery life.
Reset doesn't work on my optimus 7

Hi, I have an LG Optimus L7 P705g. My battery life is really good ever since I turn the Batter Power Saver on.

Signal Power

Can the signal power be increased or sensitivity increased on the phone in any way. Have tried all the radios on CM10.1. 0.24 works best but still very weak signal compared to other android phones on same network in same location.
