my G2 camer is so slow in low light, how can I resolve that issue ?
There's a ton of threads about this. There are no definitive fixes. This is supposed to make things better. Constantly updated.

Hey, I work at a cell shop and I compared the Optimus G screen to my Nexus 4s today. The blues were so much more vivid on the Optimus, it was strange. I thought both had the same hardware. Could it be the software?
I think I saw a kernel before with screen controls, can somebody link me to it?

Search and read?

Could be software, as there have been reports of loss of color quality when installing a recent OTA update for the Nexus 4. Custom kernels can change the color balance, and Google itself may fix the issue later as well. The hardware itself should be the same
We should let Google know and make them tune it better
Hi Guys
I seem to be suffering from a issue where the touchscreen has a dead spot.
Now I had an earlier issue that caused all sorts of issues with screen responses - ultimately ending in no response unless I hit the power button to lock and then unlock.
That problem lasted about a week and then stopped - my thinking is that there was an app update that solved it.
Now however the issue has resurfaced (seemingly after other app updates) but it is a dead spot roughly where the first notification would be on the notification draw. Any ideas as how best to find out the cause of the issue, or a fix?
I've included screen shots showing the touch trace.
Cheers for any help

I can't help you but with some custom rom there can be a bug with it until I make some setting changes to the Nav Bar, but otherwise I don't know.
Forgot to say that this is stock 4.3

Many people are complaining about 4.3... It's causing many problems

What I don't get is why it went away after the first time.
I don't really want to factory reset if I can help it.
Is there a way to look at an update history for all your apps? Then I can pinpoint the offender.

I've found a solution.
After factory reset and safe mode not helping I came across a comment in another thread.
You have to Disable HW Overlays and Force GPU Rendering. Now its not perfect and can have an occasional fit but does seem to solve the issue

Only noticed this today. The rattle noise seem to come from the upper side of the device, maybe the camera or the sim card area.
I've searched a bit on the net, and saw that the nexus 4 and original Optimus G also suffer from this problem...

Yes it does. They all do. I believe it's a sensor inside the camera. It's supposed to move.

ok so then its not cause i have the vs980 honestly no phone should have loose parts id take it back if you can and see if you have the same problem?
Its the optical image stabilization that is shaking i can confirm it all devices that have this shake!
Mine does. It is very soft and faint. Its the OIS. In all variants.
Yup. Normal. Every camera phone I've every owned does this. I have the VS980 Verizon. It's the camera sensor. It's normal.

I have the Sprint version and it does not rattle no matter what plane I shake it in and no matter how hard or soft I shake it. If it is normal to rattle than I guess I have the broken one. However, I am NOT taking it back for one that does rattle.
My gnex rattle really bad. Lg g2 not. Yes it s camera but I think is rather focus particle than ois
alright yea i can confirm it... it makes a very feint sound i couldnt really hear at first due to backround noise haha sorry if i caused confusion

Hey guys, do other G2 variants have this? Im on a vzw g2. I think it would be cool to add knock knock sound when turning the screen on.

i have the att lg g2 and also cant find out how to enable the knock sound. i even asked around here a few times and never get a reply on it. i also thought that my device was not working right .i even called lg and the tech couldnt fighure it out either. they even sent me to pick up a brand new phone at the att store because they said mabe the phone is messed up and all three att guys there coulndt figure it out ..but the att manager had the phone and he said that he has herd the sound on his but coulndt show me .. something weird here with this..mabe its just on the over seas version of the lg idk ..cant seem to get a answer on this
Have to dig into the international roms then I guess.
I swear I have seen people in youtube videos, etc tap tap and get that door knock sound.

Maybe you could add an unlock sound that says "who's there?"

I'm thinking about trading my Note 3 for a G2. Ended up being too big for me. I have a few questions for you guys. How is it? Battery good? Camera? I've noticed that development is good. I'm a Verizon customer so if anyone out there had the Verizon version can they tell me how the back buttons are? They are obviously smaller than the other carrier versions. Anything will help. Thanks.

Battery is great! Last all day. The back buttons aren't an issue. I quickly got used to them. Loving it.

Hey
first off - welcome!
I'm using the international version of the LG g2 so I can't give you any information about the back buttons of the phone. The battery is quite good if you don't have anything keeping the device awake. I still have a wakelock issue and I get 4-5 hours of screen on time. The camera performs really good in well-lit surroundings but lags when used in artificial lighting and in low light situations.
I don't know how the note 3 performs (I came from an iPhone 4) but I'm really satisfied with the smoothness and speed of this phone. It's absolutely wonderful.

unless you need the stylus, you're better off. Superior camera S800. so really the battery life is fantastic.
