Hello guys,
I have the franco kernel updater version 10.3.2
I loved this kernel because it was updated all the time.
Since 22th of July there wasn't any new kernel update to be released.
My current kernel version is #165
and checking for an update since hasn't shown a new update.
Do you guys know if franco kernel updater nightly kernel should
come out with new updates?
If not, do you recommend other app for updating my kernel on a regular basis?
p.s I have root permissions on my nexus 4
thanks mates
When a new version of Android come out he stopped developing for the old one. If you want newer version of the kernel you have to update to Android 4.3.

hi all i have a galaxy note UK version and i havent been able to update as of yet, people are all going on about new updates with better performance and battery life ect yet i can get these updates, is it cus i rooted my phone?
i have....
android version
2.3.5
base version
n7000kkj4
kernel
2.6.35.7-n7000xxkj4-cl641703
i only rooted to install chainfire to play nvidia games i dint use any thing else like CLW or what ever it is
Why don't you try to go to the developers topic? Flash any kernel that you like. I'm using this 2.3.6 + this kernel 2.6.35.14, and happy with it. I will no longer flash anything until official Android 4.0 came out.
cus i want to keep it original if possible mate

Can I install 4.1.2 on top of Paranoid Android's custom ROM? (Trinity kernel) The one thing I have noticed so far on PA is that the home screen still has no rotation which I know 4.1.2 fixed. Not a huge deal, but I am assuming that means PA is still based on the earlier JB version. Will it break anything if I manually update to the latest? I am new to tablets/rooting so I wanted to check before I tried it. (Almost bricked my tablet earlier today cause I had the wrong .zip for PA. Made me hesitant...)

No, you cannot.
Just flashed CM10 on my Nexus 7 and so far so good it's been working great (besides the volume button in the taskbar that doesn't toggle back and forth).
I just had a quick question regarding the OTA functionality. I flashed my Nexus 7 kernel to the latest Motley kernel (that supports 4.1.2) so I was wondering if the OTA functionality would still work (I recall not being able to obtain the OTA updates when I was running the stock ROM with Motley kernel).
No. With cm10 you will not receive ota updates

I always received notification when there's new version available. I set mine to check everyday.

Right they rolled that up on the latest CM10 which I have...
My question really is whether the OTA update will work with modified kernel (and if it shows whether I should even push the update knowing that I have a different kernel).

I'm always at faux kernel, but of course when you installed the update you will have the stock cm10 kernel again. You just have to install your custom kernel again afterwards.

Right... now do you know if the update will even show? Somehow it wasn't with the stock ROM and motley kernel so I'm not sure if there is some sort of check for kernel version on these OTA check.

Never mind, I installed PA 3.99 and couldn't be happier xD
only reason i was asking about android 4.2 rom before was because i thought 4.3 still had root issues.

Nope they were fixed awhile ago. Plus, if you're on a 4.2.2 ROM chances are it will try and download the 4.3 OTA and end up using so much data on your phone unless you restrict data to Google or something like that. Yes it does happen even if you're on a custom ROM.
I am in the Android beta program and flashed the 7.1.1 update. My stock camera up is VERY dark in all apps. Is anyone else experiencing this? Or have a fix?
Nexus 6P Android 7.1.1 SuperSU 2.78 and ElementalX kernal 3.06 installed.
Thanks
its the kernel, they aren't updated for 7.1 yet
Just revert back to stock kernel(or decrypted stock) till 3rd party 7.1 kernel is released.
Not to beat a dead horse, but everyone here is correct. There's no kernel source posted yet. That will happen no matter what kernel you use until source drops and developers update.
Someone said that they flash a 7.0 vendor image on 7.1.1 and it fixed the camera issue..
You could try that but make a backup first.

Thanks for the comments guys,
I figured if the kernel was the issue it would have affected more than just the camera.

The kernel is the issue as source isn't released yet for the Dev to update..
