Does anyone know of an MIUI v4 or v5 lock screen style mod that will flash on the Nexus 4? I'm running AOKP at present however as I'm new to the N4 phone, I am probably going to play with a few roms before settling on a daily driver.
I quite like the glow effect of the MIUI lock screen when unlocking.
I don't want to install any apk from the market as these just sit over the top and are nothing but trouble.
Thanks.
You can install MiHome launcher from play store

Hey all just installed one of the official cyanogenmod 10 nightly and I love it. But I have one issue with it.
When I hold the home key to use Google now it brings up the recent apps menu how can I disable this action.

Swipe up from the home button instead. There is no way that I know of as of now that you can disable it, but swiping up will not activate the app switcher

It cannot be disabled in the rom. CM does not have the custom navigation bar controls like AOKP has. If you want the added customisability, you should try AOKP

Looking for useful mods for nexus 7

Are there any more?
Try pimp my ROM (google it)
Also, I believe the N7 already has 720p enabled in 4.2?

I don't think we want to encourage piracy.
Hi,
I'm looking for a Custom Rom, essentially something like CyanogenMod with ParanoidAndroid's PIE implementation.
The important features for me are:
DSPManager (100% need)
Lot of Quicksettings (3g/2g would be nice (like CM))
Battery Circle (would be nice)
PA's PIE (CM's pie is not that great(unresponsive and incomplete[i know it's just a nightly and not finished])
Hybrid Engine( would be cool but not really needed, would use it just for 2 apps)
Charging lights (would be cool)
Lockscreen custom background(would also be cool)
Lockscreen targets (cool but not that important)
some other things I missed when I used ParanoidAndroid, instead of CyanogenMod(atm)
What Rom could you recommend me?
Greetz
I personally love root box. Check out PAC ROMs as well

try revolt rom.
if you want an awesome lock screen i suggest purchasing WidgetLocker
thats what i use, ultimate customization.
and for pie, you can use the LMT launcher on any rom that doesnt have PIE already in it.
and for charging light, you can use LightFlow to change colors for each notification or color when charging ,etc
Both seem to be missing the DSPManager :/ I still prefer using PA's Pie in favour of LMT. And I also don't like to use that much 3rd party apps if possible!

You can extract the dspmanager apk file and install it onto whatever rom you want. You can also delete unwanted 3rd party apps as well.

Didn't work for me: http://android.stackexchange.com/questions/41796/install-dspmanager-on-a-non-cm-rom
Or install jellybam.
It got all the features u ask for.
Google for it as u can't find it here.

I am thinking about getting a custom rom but I want to find the perfect one for me.
It must be stable enough to use has a daily driver, change softkey icons, colour changing to holo bars and icons, a feature like Paranoidandroid where you change the UI and other popular features.

Parandroid is my favorite have used CM but have really enjoyed PIE and Halo on Parandroid. I would use the 4.2 rom for now I used the 4.3 but It's just not ready yet. dont get me wrong I'm sure it will be but I'm back on Parandroid 4.2
Yeah, can you give me the link to it so I can install it?
I will have to downgrade the radio and bootloader for this one.

Can some one create a flashable Mod for rooted stock rom, which allow to add and edit the quick setting panel as the CM has one?
This is the feature I most miss on my Nexus 5 by far with the stock rom, on my previous phones I had alwasy CM roms installt. Maybe I will also do with my current N5 when official nightlys are available.
Thanks in advance!!
Solution:
Install Xposed framework

And install Gravity Box

I highly recommend Cataclysm Rom, the best rom for Nexus 5 by far imo. It has almost every mods and tweaks you need except for theme chooser, etc.
I want the same. I want to keep stock rom as I love the pure aosp.

Stock is not AOSP. This is Google's version of Android. AOSP is the open source project that everyone works from.

I want Google ROM with a few mods. One being the quick settings mod. If anyone does this or needs a tester please let me know.

Google really nailed it with the Nexus 5 and 4.4. This is the first phone I am not running to root, unlock, and start flashing away stock. With a few *minor* tweaks such as quick settings customization it would be near perfect.
I want to add screen orientation and flashlight to the quick settings. Google why cant you just be smart!
Just use Power Toggles in the meantime.

I definitively will give it a try, it looks really interesting.
Just wait for Xposed Framework, lets you modify stock without reflashing, etc. It doesn't work yet since 4.4 breaks everything in it, but the developer will probably have that all fixed up by the end of the month if I had to guess.

I still don't get why Google didn't make this feature. The Quick Settings Panel hardly improved from Android 4.2. I would stay 100% stock ROM if Google added this feature, battery percentage (no not the crappy white one that's in there now) and long press volume rocker to skip tracks.
