So I rooted my new LG G2 correctly but had some things to do and my brother had experience with phones so I let him do the TWRP install. He used flashify and flashed it as a Boot image instead of recovery. Now when I boot my phone I can only boot to TWRP. Can someone help walk me through fixing my phone?
Your help is extremely appreciated.
Thanks again.
Youre basically going to have to restore to stock with the LG tool and start fresh. I believe there is a thread in the general forum with instructions.
Been there, done that. It sucks. You live and learn.

Alright so today I bricked my g2 (not a huge problem, generally) installing this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2502789 on my vs980. I installed it normal then all my phone did was boot into a fastboot screen [700]udc_start() . So I am trying to unbrick through this guide http://www.lg-phones.org/how-to-flash-unbrick-lg-g2-back-to-stock.html and it only gets to 49% then says it does not work. If anybody here has a solution to this I beyond appreciate it.
Additional Note. I was on CWM and then I used Flashify to flash TWRP 2.6.3.2 img and then I tried installing rom and that's where it went down

Try this method, I have had success with this method a couple of times already. Who is your carrier, there are more detailed info in your carrier development forums.

It did the same thing and stopped at 49%...can't explain it.
Yeah sorry, I am on Verizon so I have done it with the TOT files not the other method. Check around your your carriers Development forum.
I used FreeGee to try to install a custom recovery after root. First TWRP, stuck at performing action. Then CWM. Then the older CWM. Always stuck at performing action. The old CWM worked. Reboot to recovery and get security boot error. Looked around on forums and found a CWM batch install that everyone says works for them. Still recovery boot error. Anyone know what's up? I'm on AT&T D800. Rooted by ioroot25
Also RomManager says I have both recoveries installed. Thinking this might be the issue. How do I delete one or both and get on the right track?
I think I have the same problem. Could u solve the problem?

Safest way is to go back to stock 4.2.2 first, then root with IOroot then install recovery.lok

No, no easy one, and some might even say none at all, but you can read the rooting thread where they discuss recovery as well http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2448887

Seems you haven't installed a custom recovery yet buddy, if you tried, you've failed.
First root your phone, then install a custom recovery, then try again booting into your recovery.
If your already on stock kk, I don't believe you can install a custom recovery yet, only root it. So you would first have to downgrade back to JB.

Well there only 2 options really, I'd say TWRP is more user friendly, so i would recommend that to you, before installing a rom first read the instructions and make sure they haven't first recommend a recovery for that specific rom installation.
Once you have a custom recovery its very simple to switch between them.
Follow the instructions here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2469995
It's an old method but is very easy. This will install twrp but an old version.
So before using the method above first download the latest twrp onto your phone, i don't know what version of the g2 you have so if you reply i can try point you to the latest, but if you search for twrp 2.7 for your phone you should find it. You want it in .zip format.
So after saving the file to your phone, go ahead and follow the instructions above, if it says it successful, try booting into recovery again, the same way you managed to format your phone but this time it should boot your recovery, then press install .zip and flash the latest twrp.
Then your ready to go! just follow the instructions for the roms you'd like and flash them.
Best of Luck!

I'm using a Verizon LG G2 VS980 . I just downloaded TWRP 2.7 though so I am going to give that a go !!
So I'll tell you the steps I've tried since I've read the guides etc. What I've done this far: So in the official wiki guide you're supposed to flash a custom recovery of course first like TWRP and then flash a Cyanogenmod ROM.
You're supposed to use FreeGee for this in the App store but this does NOT WORK so one of our awesome developers on here made a tool on here AutoRec APK that DOES work. I used that tool on here with a rooted phone to install TWRP. TWRP does work and I can boot into it, but when I flash the latest nightly for my phone in TWRP it says it flashes successfully but then after rebooting the phone you end up in an infinite boot loop.
Essentially the phone goes to the LG logo and keeps rebooting over and over and over again. I fixed this by just flashing BACK TO STOCK in download mode but I've tried twice to flash a Cyanogenmod ROM and both times I end up flashing back to stock because it won't work. What's the deal with this? I can't stand this Verizon crap and their ridiculous encrypted boot loader. Never again will I buy a Verizon phone/main service mind you. Next time I'm just going to get a Nexus or whatever. It looks like Verizon doesn't want you doing anything with the bootloader for YOUR OWN PHONE.
What should I do?
Hey guys, I messed something up. I tried utilizing fire flash to flash the 7.0 OTA over 6.0 and now my phone will boot loop if i dont go into twrp recovery, yes im dumb i thought my back up was there its not. I lkow, idiot. Cant even get into ADB!!!! But TWRP recovery works so, please post up a 6.0 Twrp image. Thank God for work phones, and thanks for the help!!!!

You have to flash stock for your model.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-x-style/general/guide-flashing-stock-firmware-t3637235
Twrp's backup hasn't too much partitions to fix it.
Copy that, but I cant get the phone into fastboot! Is there a way to re-flash fastboot using TWRP? I can still use TWRP, I cant get my phone to get recognized y ADB or get ADB to side load.
Into Twrp - reboot - bootloader.
and You are in fastboot. @usmc1488

In this thread you can find 2 twrp's backups(7 & 6.0.1, xt1572).

If you lost bootloader there isn't way to flash it without it, also system will no boot without.
Reflash stock recovery (into twrp) and send to warranty repair.
