I love my mac, but I love my android too. But one thing that really annoys me is that bookmark syncing and tab syncing are missing between the two devices. I know that Chrome for mac and Chrome for android syncs bookmarks and tabs, but Chrome experience on my mac is horrible with it's laggy scrolling on every webpage. It lags initlally and then after everything is all shown, it doesn't lag. Safari on the other hand is super smooth.
I have tried Dolphin browser on my android and using Dolphin connect, I can sync Tabs nicely, but Dolphin limits Bookmark syncing, just for Safari. So one is working, the other is not.. Firefox on android is very good, but firefox for mac is even worse than Chrome.
Does anyone know any way to sync both bookmarks and tabs automatically with Mac's Safari and any good android browser?

So, am I the only one having issues getting the stock browser's bookmarks to sync or at least import to Dolphin? Tried everything (including the abysmal 'Bookmarks to SD' app) with no luck. I really liked the stability and speed of Dolphin but I have tons of bookmarks synced over from my desktop that I rely on to give it up.
PS - Opera Mobile is horrible and I don't care what anyone says.
Same problem with stock browser, my bookmarks are incomplete, but with dolphin and bookmarks to sd it's all right, and i have choose for this last one
Firefox: export bookmarks.html, copy to tablet, use "bookmark to sd" app and import the html.
F that, I'll stick with stock browser instead. It's too much of a hassle.
I don't understand why instead of syncing with Gmail, it can't sync/share the same location as the stock browser and let the stock browser do all the syncing.
Has anyone been able to get chrome bookmark sync to work? It starts syncing and then freezes. Anyone?

I just moved from IE to Chrome just this past week. It imported my "favorites" from IE to 'bookmarks" in Chrome with no issues. BTW, I love this browser... I'm still learning the Chrome so I am not sure what to tell you to try. Maybe one of your links are corrupted? Try one first and see if you get the same results. Good luck.

Its not the same thing. Chrome bookmark sync syncs your bookmarks from chrome to your google account and them you can sync the browser on the tablet so you have the same bookmarks. In theory anyway, as I cant seem to get it to work
I didn't realize that desktop Chrome will sync with the tab's stock browser. I switched from Chrome to Opera on my desktop so I could have the sync with Opera Mobile. Opera syncs pretty well and updates fairly fast. I'm still learning to get comfortable with Opera but I think I like Chrome better. But I'm not going back to the stock browser - no way no how. Oh well.

Mine works without a problem.
It never froze for me.
One issue I have noted that may frustrate you enough not to bother with synch is the folders don't synch properly. I ended up with only the top level (root dir?) of bookmarks and none of the sub-folders came through.
I had at least 17 bazillion book marks sorted into 20 or 30 million folders so I am an extreme example.But man, that annoyed me enough lay waste to a small country.
Bookmark syncing working fine for me between the stock browser and Chrome.
For the people that have no issues with Chrome sync, can you comment on how many bookmarks you are dealing with?
I ask because there has been talk about a 100 bookmark per day limit on the Google forums.

I'm gonna have to look at those threads later. I have hundreds of bookmarks, so maybe that's it. Some synced last night, but I have a bunch of my folders with no bookmarks in them. Also, if I go to the accounts page on my transformer, the synch icon next to browser only spins a couple times, then freezes

While it's great having the Chrome browser sync all of my bookmarks, it's not a lot of fun going back to my desktop browser to find that they've been duplicated and rearranged. At the moment I can't tell if any have been deleted. I've just deleted some duplicates from the desktop Chrome and am hoping that they won't disappear completely from the Nexus.
Has anyone else noticed this kind of behaviour?

No, I use Firefox beta with adblock. Synced, job's a goodun.
Chrome seems a little laggy.
I've had no issue using chrome between my phone, my nexus 7, and my laptop.
Note that there are now Desktop Bookmarks and Mobile Bookmarks.
Maybe just move your mobile links over manually then assess the damage.
My mobile bookmarks are fine. It's only the desktop ones that are duplicated and rearranged. And it's happening in every folder. I'm going to go through all of them deleting the duplicates and then see what happens. Going to take a while, though...

I am trying to get my bookmarks on my phone from my chrome browser on my computer but there is no option in the syncing to sync with your google account. I don't wish to use the Chrome browser all the time and besides having your bookmarks in chrome from your requires you to keep sync enabled and I don't want to as that uses battery that I don't want to spend. So is there anyway to sync your stock browser with chrome from your desktop for bookmarks to be on the phone?
I just started looking into this last night myself and so far haven't found a solution. Looks like it's a known issue though... keep us posted if you find a resolution.
i use the chrome browser on my PC and the stock aosp browser on my S4. both browsers are signed in to my gmail. bookmarks sync perfectly. as a matter of fact, hyperlinks sync as well. if i view an xda thread on my device, it shows it as read on my PC.
Can't seem to figure this out. For some reason Chrome on my N6P does not show my desktop bookmarks. Actually, it only shows just the bookmarks on this phone.
- desktop is signed on
- settings->accounts->google->chrome is set to sync
- did a force close and also rebooted
Anyone else having this issue or can clue me in on how to see bookmarks on my other signed in Chrome devices?

I try to wipe cache of the apps but not working.
In chrome it tells me that he can't reach the sync server.
