Chrome bookmarks are not displaying desktop bookmarks - Nexus 6P Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Can't seem to figure this out. For some reason Chrome on my N6P does not show my desktop bookmarks. Actually, it only shows just the bookmarks on this phone.
- desktop is signed on
- settings->accounts->google->chrome is set to sync
- did a force close and also rebooted
Anyone else having this issue or can clue me in on how to see bookmarks on my other signed in Chrome devices?
Thanks

I currently have this issue with my new N6p.
I can't get the bookmark sync .
I try to wipe cache of the apps but not working.
In chrome it tells me that he can't reach the sync server.

Unable to sync browser

I have been unable to sync my browser bookmarks with Google chrome, I already tried the clear cache thing and the delete data thing and it doesn't work, I also tried deleting my Google account in the "Account and Sync" and remaking it.
When I went into the account and sync and forcing a sync with the refresh button, everything syncs fine but the "Sync Browser" would show the syncing icon but it would move for a few minutes then stop but not disappear.
I have the same problem. I did some Googling and it looks like it could be a bug with 3.22 (
My 3G Xoom's still 3.1
Im having this problem as well, been trying to figure out what the deal is. The only way i fixed this problem is to do a factory reset any idea's here i wanna fix this but dont want to have to rebuild everthing again.
same here. Some bookmarks synched but last few days sync browser shows icon and won't disappear.

I had the same issue a week ago and spent ages trying to force it to resync using various methods. I think it was an issue with Google's systems as 3 days later I did a sync and it all worked fine without me doing anything.
So far I have tried a factory reset and still no dice so I think the problem is on Google's side.
Update: It seems to be okay updating them a few at a time
pretty sure it's on google's side. I've spent hours on this and so has another member of the forums named mike. Wiped cache within the browser then went into app settings and wiped cache/data/force closed. Then went to google dashboard and reset chrome sync. Then launched xoom browser and it worked every time, however, the second I reimported my bookmarks on my desktop (they had to be empty to get the xoom to sync) it would break again. Left it sitting a few hours and it synced the folders but none of the bookmarks in them. Logcat said that it was losing the data stream mid sync and was either a problem of wrongly reported size of data being transported or loss of connection. I'm betting on google's side.
i had the same issue (Gapps would FC) and i got it to work. It seems i had to many bookmarks. I did a back up on my desktop and deleted a bunch of bookmarks. I would slowly add more to it and resync. Since the bookmarks were already on the xoom it would just add the others. I now have all my bookmarks and they sync with out a problem now.

Bookmarks are gone!

After the Touchwiz update, my bookmarks disappeared and it doesn't look like Google sync is working. Any ideas how to get this to work or some alternative way to syndrome my Google Bookmarks?
Try to clear data/cache for the Browser and Google Bookmarks Sync applications, then set up the sync again in the browser settings.
I still have a problem that not all bookmakrs/folders are synced and sometimes I even get FC errors with NPE in the bookmarks synchronization adapter.
Must be some bookmark that triggers it, but had no chance to isolate it yet.
UPDATE: just checked again and all the bookmarks seem to be in sync now, but the layout of folders has changed, it now starts with:
/Google Chrome/Bookmarks/..., then I can see all my bookmarks from the browser, before all the bookmarks and folders were just in the root folder.
Just found that it was already answered at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1204048.
Thanks for the heads up. I had replied on that thread earlier and it got moved and I couldn't find it.
Yeah, I hate the new layout. Why can't they just leave what works alone?!

[Q] Chrome beta bookmarks

So i got a into trouble with my chrome on desktop. I have an imac at work and macbook. I always use google chrome because its easy to manage my bookmarks across all platforms.
i got my imac replaced and due to this i just cleared all the browser data and deleted all my bookmarks. What i forgot to do was to remove sync. This ruined everything. All my bookmarks vanished on my macbook and mobile. but luckily my tablet was switched off. As soon as i powered up my a501 tablet i removed sync and the bookmarks on chrome beta stayed intact.
now the question is how can i get these bookmarks back to my chrome desktop. i cannot sync them for sure. i can't export them too.
i tried to look into the app data. but the database is empty.
can someone suggest something.
cheers.
Nevermind, I found a way out.

[Q] Trouble Syncing Bookmarks to built in browser

I just got a Galaxy Note 10.1 a few days ago and I am overall pleased with it. But I am trying to sync my bookmarks but the internal browser never finishes the sync, it just kind of hangs there. I successfully synced the Chrome Browser, but the built in one just won't complete. When I load it up a good portion of the bookmarks are missing, It does seem to have created all the folders and subfolders of the bookmarks menus though. Anyone else ever have a similar problem that knows how to get sync to successfully complete? So far I have wiped the data with application manager a couple of times now, but so far it always never completely finishes the sync.
On a related note, since chrome successfully synced the bookmarks, is there a way to get the bookmarks to go from the android chrome browser to the built in one without using the google sync? That would also be an alternative, or maybe importing the bookmarks.html file I exported from firefox? I can't believe it's coming up on 2013 and these mobile browsers can't simply import bookmarks manually from a .html file on a sdcard.
Also FYI, if your settings are set to encrypt all data for your google account, the chrome browser syncs fine, but the built in browser fails to import any of the bookmarks. It gives an error message that something is wrong with sync and to try later.
Update:
Well it seems it did complete the sync sometime during the night. I checked this morning and all the bookmarks showed up in the internal browser. Strangely though every directory was duplicated, for example I had 2 "Forums" folders, one empty, one with all my links. I had to manually delete all the incomplete or empty bookmark directories. I am not sure how it got fixed, I didn't do a thing.

How do you sync stock browser bookmarks with computer?

I am trying to get my bookmarks on my phone from my chrome browser on my computer but there is no option in the syncing to sync with your google account. I don't wish to use the Chrome browser all the time and besides having your bookmarks in chrome from your requires you to keep sync enabled and I don't want to as that uses battery that I don't want to spend. So is there anyway to sync your stock browser with chrome from your desktop for bookmarks to be on the phone?
I just started looking into this last night myself and so far haven't found a solution. Looks like it's a known issue though... keep us posted if you find a resolution.
i use the chrome browser on my PC and the stock aosp browser on my S4. both browsers are signed in to my gmail. bookmarks sync perfectly. as a matter of fact, hyperlinks sync as well. if i view an xda thread on my device, it shows it as read on my PC.
