Hey there,
I wanted to ask this question in the official PAC ROM thread for the Nexus 4 but unfortunately I have no permission.
Anyways, is there a way to disable those fly-in animations that come with the above mentioned rom? Nearly all windows that I open have that annoying fly-in animation and it does not even feel consistent: sometimes the window flies in from the right, sometimes from the bottom and sometimes it comes from the top left just when it is about to change its direction to fly straight down.
Is there a way to restore the default window animations (that stock zoom fade-in effect)?
Some ROMs might have the ability to change that, but I don't know about yours. You can disable animations altogether by turning them off under development settings.
Not sure exactly if you're talking about those... but check out:
PAC-MAN settings -> Home screen -> Home screen (again) -> transition effect.
PAC-MAN settings -> Home screen -> App Drawer -> Transition effect.
etc..

Thank you, but I don't want to disable animations completely.
I think I have to replace them manually if there is no way to change them via the ROM.

These are the animations for the launcher, right?
However the animations I am talking about are everywhere in the ROM, whenever I open/close a window...
EDIT:
Okay so I flashed a different PAC ROM (inofficial) and it allowed me to customize most of the animations in the PAC ROM settings.
Unfortunately some animations were missing (e.g. popups sliding in from the right). I am back to my old ROM now and might contact the ROM dev.

sorry if its been discussed before but I can't find it anywhere via search.
here goes, during sgs' time with eclair, I recalled having set a pattern lock and when i turn the screen on, it would require me to slide to unlock first then proceed to pattern (similar to iphone set up)
nowadays on stock gingerbread rom, it no longer shows the main slide to unlock screen, instead it jumps straight to pattern/pin unlock screen. Reason I brought this up is that I did prefer the previous setup to see date, time and charge % left (also setting up a lockscreen wallpaper only works in the slide to unlock screen only)
does anyone know how to return it back to normal?
thanks

I'm pretty sure that it shows all that /(time, battery, date) and you could change the lockscreen wallpaper by going to : Settings > Display > Wallpapers and then Lockscreen Wallpapers....
Are you running stock ROM/kernel no EDT tweaks etc?
On my Juwe ROM the only problem I could find was that the lockscreen was transparent, thus showing the wallpaper you have on the homescreen instead of the one you have chosen in the settings.

Thanks for the quick reply, this came about on jvk then jvp rom, no tweaks etc
What happens is if i select no password required it shows the default lockscreen.
The moment i set up a pin or pattern lock, the lockscreen doesnt appear anymore, itvjumps straight to enterin pin or pattern screen, im pretty sure this happens to everyone else on stock gingerbread...

I can't post in there due to my noob status, but I think I found a reproducible bug.
System Settings -> Interface -> Notification Drawer -> Quick Settings Panel -> Quick Settings style -> Tiles Pressed Background
I try to pick a new color, but I can't really find anywhere to confirm the choice. If I click on the current hex value, Settings crashes. I wanted to try to make it blue to match some of the other icons that are blue when active. With the all grey ones it's hard to tell if they are on/off.
Overall this is a really cool ROM, kudos to SlimRoms team
best jelly based rom, cool new settings and I am using it on mytouch4g
I can't find any controls to modify the lock screen. I can remove the default clock, but I can't add anything. And when I go back to the lock screen the clock is back. I can't find anything having to do with lock screen in the Settings either (like adding widgets, etc.) I also can't expand the lock screen widget. Is this functionality just not there? Or am I just looking in the wrong place?
Nexus 7 3G "tilapia"
I'm posting this here because there is not official development thread for this ROM on my device. There are nightly builds so someone is maintaining it, but I don't have any place except here to post questions. I hope someone from OMNI monitors this forum.
Settings -> security -> lockscreen
When you're in the lockscreen try swiping the clock to the right, a + should appear. Tap the + and you should have the option of adding a widget. If the lockscreen is PIN protected you'll have to enter it first, then you'll see which widgets you can add. I think this is pretty standard.

Thanks! After finding the settings from the previous post I was able to do that. Thanks to you both for your help!
Go to Settings -> Security -> check "enable widgets". Then go to lockscreen, swipe to the right and your "+" sign should appear.
Is anyone else having an issue setting the lockscreen wallpaper? I am getting FCs when I select a wallpaper via Security --> Lockscreen --> Wallpaper
No, you're not alone. Happens yo me also. The wallpaper cropper chashes for some reason.... :S
Did you know that @Entropy512 @XpLoDWilD??
Works here, Hammerhead, 20140924.
Why don't you post a Logcat?
Here it goes! See attached @XpLoDWilD
I think you have to check from "09-30 17:56:23.563 E/MediaStore(20784): Failed to insert image"

By default you are unable to access the system UI tuner in emui. With this app (ALL CREDIT TO LEEDROID) you are able to add various shortcuts to your quick settings tiles. One of these is UI tuner, which will bring you to the settings unlike holding the settings cog.
Note that this method is sometimes rather buggy when getting to the menu, and it works best if your settings application is cleared from recent apps.
Just download the app, hit edit in your quick settings, drag the UI tuner to your quick settings and you're set to go.
Don't give up if it won't work on the first press! Clear your recent apps and give it another shot.

I discovered this a while back on the Mate 9, but unfortunately most of the functions don't work so there's really no point to it.
I tested this, but if I'm right, not many of those new settings in System UI tuner work in Honor 8. I did not get Power notification controls to do anything new (no new settings appeared in app notification settings). Similarly turning on Do not disturb mode shortcut seemed to once flash the options in the volume popup, but after that... nothing. The only thing I managed to get to work was to remove icons from status bar.
Or did I do something wrong?

No, you did it correctly. Some of the settings may not work properly due to the EMUI skin. The issues you listed are probably why honor had it hidden in the first place. But there are still some useful settings in there.
There is simpler method to do that https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gm8PEYKrjrw
However SystemUI is very limited, nothing useful to do

Nobody seems to know! I am searching this for quite a few days for this. Tried google, xda, reddit, yahoo and many other places but without any luck.
Use google dialer and give all permission with change system settings ON and in call UI will be changed.
It's quite easy. You have to disable your animation scales in the developer options in the settings.
First you must enable the developer options:
Settings, about device, software info, build number (tap it 7 times)
Now go back to the settings and you'll find the developer options. Tap these options and select off for each one of them:
windows animation scale
Transition animation scale
Animator duration scale
