No it will not. Download which ever zip you want from this thread. Deodexed or odexed. Do Nodata wipe if you want to keep your things.

Yes it has I had the notification for it

can i go back to 4.2.2 from 4.3?

hey guys... im on 4.3 MK2 rooted, can i install a 4.2.2 rom stock or custom ?? with 4.2.2 modem and bootloader.
thanks.
If you updated by keeping the MF9 bootloader you can go back to stock. If you took the OTA however, you can only downgrade to 4.2 with a custom ROM.

but i can downgrade to 4.2 (100% 4.2) using a custom rom?? or i will be on 4.2 but with the same new bootloader?
what custom rom would work in my case? if you can give me a link to one.. there are so many here.
If you're on the MJA or MK2 bootloader, you're stuck with it.
And why would you want to go back to 4.2? Any ROM would work, but seems kind of pointless.

i downgraded the modem to mdc and did the unlock process. it worked, i can make and receive calls but when the phone is going to 3g i get a error message "LTE esm 29 emm-x cannot establish wireless data connection" nobody else had that issue.. i dont know if hte fact that my phone is not activated on spring is relevant.. it shouldn't be, because im using the phone outside the US.
i dont know what to do to make this thing work.. i have flashed from mdc to mk2 or mja like 5 times and i always get the same message.

[Q] URGENT: Sprint to T-mobile or Metro PCS ?

Anyway i can Domestic Sim unlock or flash my SPH-L720 to T-Mobile or Metro PCS ?
I'm using 4.3 MK2 and can't seem to downgrade in order to sim unlock through the normal method
I would say to call sprint to get it unlocked but seems like you haven't paid your bill or have a bad ESN

I haven't found a downgrade method anywhere and the only way to achieve domestic unlock is through mdc modem.

I think you just have to install the MDC modem not the entire firmware. Go to the all sprint firmware post and install the mdc modem. Follow the unlocking steps and then you can go back to the MK2 modem after unlock.

As of now you can't downgrade the modem on mk2 or mja if you took an OTA update to get there. If you flashed your way there and kept mf9 you can downgrade easily.

You don't HAVE to. I used the very first bootloader on every single FW on JB and had zero issues.

Well, o thought i can keep my device update on par. The firmware, the modem and bootloader. My firmware and modem are updated to NC2. but my bootloader is still stuck to NB1. And well i believe so that if i'm on the same version which is 4.4.2, there will be hardly a brick. Correct me if i'm wrong.

If anything goes wrong with a bootloader flash the chance of a recoverable device are in the toilet...
Roms are generally fairly easy to reflash and so to can be recoveries if something goes wrong.
Bootloaders are the 1 thing you don't play with if you don't need to....
Who cares what the bootloader is anyway, as long as the device works which is why you needed to flash them to use Kitkat....
If you decide to go through with updating the bootloader then make DAMN sure the flash file isn't corrupt or you have any problems with the flash. Should be quick but truly those few seconds are a heart stopper, especially if it comes up fail in ODIN....
I have a lovely Samsung galaxy tab 7" paperweight to attest to this....

[Q] Does towelroot still work on S5 with most up to date software?

Can I still root with towel root or am I **** out of luck for an easy root? I'm on Mac and don't have much knowledge on rooting but Xposed and some other things are really tempting.
No, it will not work on 4.4.4 but you can follow the guide here and downgrade to 4.4.2, use towel root, and then go back to 4.4.4 and be rooted.
