Ok im trying to fladh my g2 back to 100% stock. I have the lg flash tool all set up and ready to go. The problem im having is after downloading the rom zip file and during the extracting of the tot file I get a CRC failed file bad from 7zip. So when I place the files into the lg flash tool and hit the big yellow arrow to begin it runs some kind of a crc check and offcourse fails....says (Failed Previousload () ) Also I've tried downloading the factory rom on 2 different computers using 2 different browsers. If anyone can help I'd very much appreciate it.

You may have a bad download of the tot file. It should be over 2gb in size when compressed and just under 3gb when unzipped. If it isn't, try downloading it again.
Ok I downloaded it twice once using crome and once with firefox both times same result. Will try again though. Also I thought about downloading the rom on my galaxy s4 and transfer it to my laptop. I used to download all my s4 roms that way and never really had a problem?

You could try that. Sometimes downloading such a large file through the browser causes problems. If you use a download manager, it limits these problems. It took me two tries with Firefox.
Thanks for your help. I ended up downloading the zip onto my S4. Then transferring it over to my laptop. Worked great ?

i wanted to do a complete format to clean my i337'z internal sd card and start fresh. and i chose to do the format from TWRP recovery. After the format it does not go beyond the samsung galaxy s4 logo.
it boots in TWRP and also download mode with key combo.
i flashed different Custom roms, tried all the different wipes but no use.
odin also fails, (AUTH fail) dont know why! Everything fails, Also i tried to Odin with the pit file but all in vain.
and also it says on the download mode Write protection : Enable
Does anyone have any idea What is going on with the device?. i seriously need to get it working. I know it is not dead because all the recovery and download mode is working i m just missing something which your experience can point out.
Thanks guys.

Did you install Kies in your computer? It's needed for some drivers so Odin can work. I was also getting an error until I installed it, then let the computer recognize the phone before clicking start in Odin.

I saw those drivers on the website (for the AT&T version), didn't try them because them are dated November 2012, which means older than the device itself. But if you confirm they work, I'll give them a try. Thanks for the tip. No use in having Kies installed, since I don't use it.

Hi all. ..I had an issue last night trying to restore my s4 back to stock mf3.i am currently safe strap 4.2.2.My thinking is go stock....root....update to mk2 with super su survival mode...the new safestrap seems to be coming soon so we can flash newer roms.
I Tried the Adam outler thread...downloaded odin...unzipped file and thru pda I got an error message saying unsuccessful.
I then downloaded the tar files complete from mega and tried uploading all 4 being bootloader etc...and tried that. It said in the first box complete..but restarted right back to odin...no changes.
I do have to add I am one of those idiots who tried to flash twrp from goo manager intially so my stock recovery is gone right now.

No problem

So I've had this problem for a while and I think at one point I knew what the issue was, but things came up and I guess I lost my place. I have a GS4 running 4.3 on AT&T, but if I recall correctly it took a long time (longer than it was supposed to in US) for even that update to become available to me. I'm not sure if this phone is set as a different country or something, but I seem to think that had something to do with it when I checked last time. Now when I check for updates, it does say I have an available update (KitKat?) but fails when attempting to update. Download is successful, but install is not. Baseband is I337ucuemk2 if that helps anything. Any help here would be appreciated, thanks.
Install is failing as some of the files it is trying to update has been modified. You would have to be on stock for the update to work.
Remember that there is no direct root method for KitKat yet.

Have you changed any system files and do you have xposed running? They'll break the ota.
Edit, I should have read closer. I think there is an update.zip file you could flash in the general forum. I'll look and see if I can find it.

So... pretty unhappy. Downloaded the update.zip and flashed in stock recovery, it wiped my whole phone and still didn't update. I saw a couple error messages appear as it was "updating" so now I'm still on old firmware and lost everything on my phone. Luckily I did a Kies backup but still pretty ridiculous. I still lose all save data from apps and all convenience that there was from using my phone for as long as I did. Just wanted to update, shouldn't be this big of a mess. Not sure what to do next.

That's what I did and I'm finally updated, but pretty disappointed that it took all that just for an update. Hopefully things like that don't continue in future updates...
I bought a att s4 that has been rooted and is running 4.3. Using it with Straight Talk. The previous owner that did the root said it still was on stock rom. I'm new to the rooting and custom roms and find a lot of the info on here confusing so please pardon the ignorance.
So my main issue is the random reboot (about 6 or 7 times a day) problem that I have learned is very common with the s4. It only happens when I wake the phone and swipe to open home screen. I have read that rooting would help but that doesn't appear to be the case for me. I also read that I should update to 4.4kk but I can't do that ota because of the root. At this point I could care less if it rooted and I'm open to all suggestions to fix the reboot issues.

You should not be having reboot issues. I would recommend you flash the nb1 tar file in Odin. Then let it ota to nc1 and root with towel root. You can find the nb1 tar on the general forum, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=50912149

Dear friends,
My nexus 4 randomly reboots about 90 times for no reason and this issue is seen since Saturday. I am on stock lollipop 5.0.1 and did a factory wipe from Recovery~ still issue persists.
Sometimes it does not get past even the Google logo and sometimes it just hangs on the boot screen saying optimzing apps bla bla etc
I got my lollipop update almost a month back, so im at a loss to find out why this issue is happening now.
I am planning to do an ADB side load to rule out a corrupt OS issue, before sending my phone for mainboard repair.
Do u guys have any other suggestions to resolve this issue?
Note: Stock Lollipop Rom, stock kernel and recovery as well. Everything is stock
It sounds like it could be a stuck power button. I would try flashing the kk factory image and see if you still have the problem. If you do it's most likely hardware related.

I would try flashing each image individually to see if any of them fail specifically. Inside the file you downloaded and extracted is a zip file. Extract that too and you'll find the rest of the image files.
