[SOLVED] Following games not working on S4 [Please lock] - Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi I want to start a list of games (or apps) which are not working on s4 on stock tw rom android version 4.2.2
To start with below are he games which I have tested not working:
Games:
Chess Free - AI Factory - Game loads but freezes and crash when about to start a game
Fruit Ninja - Halfbrick - Game loads but the game is slow (1st fruit throw is slow, second one will make the app crash)
Chess Software - Optime - Game loads but freezes when about to start a game
Issue already solved, kindly lock the thread as it may lead to wrong information about apps.
It seems that "LockIt" accessibility service is causing the issue (its a nice app to protect running other app, but i have to turn it off to play these games)

Fruit ninja works fine. Free and paid versions. List already wrong.
Edit : chess free working too.
You might need to factory reset and reinstall your apps.

I havent yet flashed any rom on my phone that's why I dont think factory reset will solve the issue. Some other users commented in the play store that the game(Fruit Ninja) is unplayable with the recent update.
-----------------------------------
I think i've figured out the problem, it is the app "LockIt" by PA. If the accessibility option of lock it is enabled, the said apps runs extremely slow causing it to crash

AI Factory chess (paid) works fine for me on I9505 (didn't try the free version but they're essentially the same thing).

My downloaded Google play apps won't show

Anybody else having this issue?

Did have.the same issue but only lasted a little while until rebooted.
Just wondering, have you tried logging out of your account and re entering it?
Sent from my GT-N7000 using xda premium
Yes, i did login and logout from my account. I did solve my problem already though. apparently, when I played with the market tools in titanium I inadvertently linked several apps to google play that were not supposed to be linked in the first place. I had to go through them and unlink them via titanium and it fixed the problem. I downloaded MARKET FIXER to determine which apps needed to be unlinked.
Hope this thread would be of help to anybody who would experience the same problem.
I do wonder if they're tweaking some settings with the new play market... I did a hard reset (because I froze stock dialer.... Big mistake ;-) ) and since, on usual dpi settings that have always worked before, 200, 240, I'm getting the error my device is not supported... Googled it and there are a lot of new posts about this since the update. Dunno if it's related.
I do have titanium but have never touched the market settings...

This is an old issue and it is caused by the Gallery and a few other system settings being mistakenly linked to the Google Play market which leads to the removal of the apps in My Apps section.
Indeed the best solution is Market Fixer as the OP has discovered above and the link is below:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.kstudio.marketfixer
You usually only need to remove the system app market links to get it to work. This procedure needs to take place after every firmware update too. Before the apps return after using the Market Fixer, you can download a free app and install it from the Market to refresh your apps.
Yes that works perfectly, but you have to know that now your google account is corrupted for life with those system apps liked to it. Now everytime you flash or update a rom, you will have to go through this to get back a functioning market... sucks big time. F***ing titanium backup, and me for being stupid and use it to screw with the market... oh well, I have good health so that is what is important, it's just a phone...

Gameloft games crashes on CM9

Hello community,
I bought N.O.V.A 3 and Modern Combat 3 some days ago, but all that games are crashing after the gameloft logo. Sometimes it works, but mostly it crashes. I'm using CM9.1 stable.
I don't know why. I also found no help at XDA or on Google
THe free game "Ice Age" is crashing too. The same problem I have on my Samsung Galaxy S2 (I9100G) too (which is also running at CM9.1 stable)
Could please anyone help? Thanks!
Try to free memory before launching the game by using one of the task killer apps
Also try to fix permissions in advanced options in cwm recovery
Use device spoofer but make a nandroid backup first if the game need to work in different screen density
Sent from my GT-P5100 using xda app-developers app
I fixed permissions, started the tablet and tried it again: Still no luck...
What do you mean with "Device spoofer"?
Device spoofer : application that you install in android to let you change the device default dpi value or screen density to let games not intended for our tab default dpi or screen density (160) to work in it, but please before trying make a nandroid backup first as if problem happens you could return to last working state
You could send a message also for developers of this games saying the type of tab you have and the problem
You could try to ask in this link

Look in the games section in the Group Play app.
Or create a shortcut to it using a home screen widget personalisation app (minimalistic text, uccw, etc) to open it directly.
It's a group playing game though, it's no good on your own. Also, see the Canimals Match 3 game too, you can play this on your own.

My Samsung Galaxy S4 Has Also Been Infected With The Same Two Undesired Programs
How is that this same poker game (Com2uSPoker 1.3.2) and the same matching game (Match3VS 1.0.127) are both on my phone installed as system apps? They survived a system reset I had to perform over the weekend because of an infinite boot loop. I found the two programs in a Titanium Backup log as currently installed software, whereas they do not appear in my menu of apps. I just happened to be looking in there because I'm in the process of restoring my phone to normal operations. But these unsolicited apps were hidden in my phone, as far as I can tell, since before December 1st, 2013! And they have had free access to my personal data all along according to their stated permissions! This is alarming to say the least because I did not install them. I filed a complaint with the IC3. Any ideas what is going on? I've had Avast Antivirus installed on my phone all along but nothing was caught!

Play store crashes when downloading specific app

Hi all!
As always, I will start with the disclaimer that I am legally blind, and that I attempted to see if this issue was already addressed recently, but I have trouble navigating the forums.
I am a fairly competent Android user, but I am by no means an expert. I am just totally lost on this issue. I have the Galaxy Note 4 (T-Mobile variety) and am running the most recent firmware. I am rooted with a vanilla setup.
The phone has been working wonderfully, but after trying to download the Dungeon Hunter 4 game, suddenly the Play Store crashed. Since then, any time I attempt to download Dungeon Hunter 4, the store crashes and loops the "Unfortunately, Google Play Store has stopped working." Other apps seem to be downloading just fine, oddly enough.
I did the usual measures: cleared cache and data for Play Store, Play Services, and Download Manager. Alas, it was to no avail. I also removed and re-added my Google account, too. It fixes the crash quite effectively *UNTIL* I attempt to download DH4. (Gameloft customer service leaves a lot to be desired - I submitted a support ticket a week ago!)
If anyone has any thoughts on the issue, I'd be immensely happy - - thanks guys!

Hi ,
if you are rooted did you install..... XPOSED FRAMEWORK ?
if so , then its most probably your cause.( i had similar experience a while back with Play store apps etc )
Your options are to either install fix /patch ..XSecureStorage( module for Xposed )
http://repo.xposed.info/module/ma.wanam.xshealth
it fixes Shealth ,Private mode ,some lag and also this Play store issues .
good luck
You could try installing from the play store on your pc. It should get pushed directly to your phone.

Thanks so much! It was indeed the Xposed module (as best I can tell.) I went through them, one at a time, and re-updated them manually. I'm most grateful for the input!

Thanks for your input! I went ahead and sideloaded the Google Play Store as an APK file, just for good measure, and I have experienced no more issues.

Hi Jag,
I know that I said some time ago that the issue seemed to resolve itself, which it did...for a while. I know this thread is a bit stale now, but I felt that it would just be redundant and discourteous to start a second thread. At any rate, it's doing the same thing again, despite me having disabled/removed all Xposed modules for the time being, uninstalling Play Store updates, clearing Play Store and Frameworks cache/data, trying the newest version of Play Store, and then re-trying your suggestion of having the web version of the Play Store push the app straight to my phone. It doesn't happen with all apps, only certain ones. The game developers for both games are very advanced firms and tried to assist me through a help ticket, to no avail. I am going crazy -- does anyone have any other ideas? My sanity rests in your hands, O' wise denizens of XDA...

Weird ram consumption I9500

Hey every one so since android lollipop i have ntoiced a really weird ram consumption on my s4 i9500 !!

Nothing much could be done I guess this is the design feature of 5.0.1 and touchwiz for a smooth experience. . Check from app manager ..most of the apps are in cache process for faster response .. remember in android less ram means unused resource .. and worry only when crash happens ..and reason for crash could be anything ..even ad in a website .. try latest rom ..
