Lost internal sd - Acer Iconia A500

I installed the latest cm 10.2 everything was working great. Installed xposed framework. Went to sleep. When I woke up tab was dead. I charged it a little and turned it on. It got stuck at splash screen. I booted it into recovery and cannot get internal memory to mount. Iy just shows blank. My ext sd shows up but internal does not. Any ideas?

Installing flash player

Alright this is a first for my just flashed trigger 3.2 and when I goto the market to download flash player it says "insufficient space available" how do I correct this?

Delete some apps from your device or move them to your sd card! Then you should have enough space to install it!

Ok I had to do factory reset, wipe delicate and cache from red recovery and it worked

Help! Sd keeps unmounting itself.

I'm running peter's 2.3.7 with matrix 7.5. I noticed this happened the other day after I rebooted my phone that it was saying that the sd card was not mounted. Didn't know what to do so I did a nand restore. It's happened a few other times and now I just remount it through clockwork. Any ideas what's causing this?

I've had this problem a few times as well, but every time a disk scan on the computer solved the problem. It's most likely caused by some file system error. Give it a try.
Will do thanks

How did you do that?
Boot up with CWM Recovery and go to advanced. Fix Permissions is in there.

Stuck at splash screen

I flashed one of the gb radios, following the instructions, and when i rebooted my phone its stuck at the splash screen. I would just try to put a different radio on the sd card and flash that through fastboot, since i cant get to recovery, but my computer wont pick up my sd card even on my wifes phone. Any ideas?
Will it boot without the card or with a different card?
Did you verify the md5 of the radio before you flashed it?
Got it working

When I booted into recovery I couldn't select recovery from fast boot since the radio file was still on the root of the sd card and my only two options were to update or reboot. I fixed it by putting my wife's sd card in my phone, booting to recovery, wiped cache and dalvik cache, put my sd card back in, booted back into recovery and flashed the radio file on my sd card through fast boot again. It seems the big mistake I made originally was just not wiping the caches before flashing the radio

Cyanoboot - stuck emmc and from sd card

I went to update to 10 and somehow lost cwm on emmc (emmc boot goes to cyanoboot then black screen-including from recovery)
So I formatted a sd card using the instructions A10 and it does the same thing (cyanoboot screen goes to sd01 then black screen)
So I said let's go back to earlier versions, try twmr etc and get the same cyanoboot then black screen (backlit but nothing happens same as above)
Any ideas? I bought new microsd, boot using cable to computer, tried winimage and w32diskimager ((both as administrator)) and dozens of other attempts, clearly I've forgotten something from when I got it working in 2011) Thanks

What are your numbers referring to? The section numbers in my NC tips thread? Did you try to make one of my CWM v5.5.0.4 bootable SD cards? You could be in a repair bootloop.

[Q] cwm on broken emmc

The u-boot for nook colors with broken emmc's (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1511854)
has helped me save my nook. I now have cm7 working off my sd card.
However, since my nook still has no bootloader, I can't seem to access the CWM (although I did apply the alt_cwm files from B5 in leaplinar's threads). Any tips?

There are lots of reasons a nook won't boot besides a bad emmc. Actually bad emmcs on nook colors are very rare. What repairs have you tried?
Sent from my SCH-i705 using XDA Premium HD app
I tried multiple cwm's, including all of your cwm fixes. The emmc repair zips wouldnt flash because the cwms wouldnt be able to load /sdcard. Ironically the cm7 sd allowed me to format the internal emmc so I can atleast use the 5.3 gigs or so.
Retried a cwm sd card but still wouldnt boot.

If you could format internal emmc, it is not bad.
Try making a bootable CWM and then replace the u-boot.bin. That should allow it to boot. Then run my repair zips.

I get the following error after running "wipe data/factory reset" I get the following error: E:format_volume: make_extf4fs failed on /dev/block/mmcblk1p8
does the official CM7 not include a bootloader? because after wiping everything it still doesn't boot. I also tried using repair 1,2,4,5,6,7,8 zips to no effect.
CWM version 6.0.1.2
edit: retried everything, it gives me an error mounting /boot

What were you running when you did that factory reset? mmcblk1p8 is an SD partition.
After you ran the 1245678 zip did you run the format zip?

First time around there was no improvement. Now I'm just getting Status 7 errors.
edit: redownloaded all the files again just to make sure.
nothing changed. running CM7.2 stable.
Also tried installing Stock 1.2 with the stock bootloader, still would not boot.

When a status 7 occurs it has text saying what the error is. What was it?

And to answer your original question, the u-boot.bin that that user modified was a very early version and had no boot menu. That is why you cannot boot to the alternate CWM from my thread.

Which assert? The one about /factory? You need to be a little more specific so I can diagnose and maybe help repair your device.

I haven't been able to replicate it. Maybe it was just a one time thing before the reboot applied the new partition table.
