Help! Sd keeps unmounting itself. - Nexus S General

I'm running peter's 2.3.7 with matrix 7.5. I noticed this happened the other day after I rebooted my phone that it was saying that the sd card was not mounted. Didn't know what to do so I did a nand restore. It's happened a few other times and now I just remount it through clockwork. Any ideas what's causing this?

I've had this problem a few times as well, but every time a disk scan on the computer solved the problem. It's most likely caused by some file system error. Give it a try.

Will do thanks

How did you do that?

Boot up with CWM Recovery and go to advanced. Fix Permissions is in there.

I haven't really seen anyone with a solution nor response for this ....I fixed my recovery issue by flashing 3.0.0.5 clockwork and took care of that ....I've heard of others with boot issue but nothing to resolve

Help unexplainable bootloops and no pc

I have no explanation of what has happened to my n7. It shut off by itself and just bootloops when I try to turn back on. I can get into recovery and I have a nandroid backup of a stock rom. Everytime I restore it restores system and then fails?? I flashed 3 different roms and all r flashed successfully but I get the same bootloops . I was using latest twrp and was get error I/o data / speedtest. Something else but I flashed cwm touch b4 I could jot down the errors . I figured it was twrp bug and didnt realize I wouldnt b able to flash back to twrp do to using gooim to write the image in the first place. I am desperate to find out what happened and I wont b near a pc for a few days. I have an unlocked rooted grouper version . I have read and searched b4 posting

it could be a hardware failure, maybe the mounted drive (emulated sd card) is corrupted and broken? the boot partition seems to be working
It sux cuz I wont have access to a pc for a few days

have you tried clearing the whole of /system /data /cache... everything except /sdcard then flash a new rom? maybe that'll clear some things up

Yes I wiped system /cache/dalvik/ and factory reset I did them all like 5 times each and flashed a brand new rom. Its so weird
Nothing works. I am always prepared for atuff like this with multiple nandroids cwm/twrp but they both fail to restore

Back in a few months ago I'm faced with that problem once, tried everything like factory reset, format system/data/cache/sd, install new ROM and also tried to restore by nandroid backup (that used to work fine before that problem occur) but non of these solutions work.
Finally I've to use fastboot to flash it to 4.1.2 (to format and re-partition the device) and flash it back to 4.2.2 and then it work fine again even with many custom rom and kernel installed to my N7 very frequent and today it still work just fine.

In the future, I'd refrain from flashing if you didn't have a computer on hand.

Internal memory

I'm not sure if I'm just looking at this wrong but it shows I should have 13 GB of memory. Now what's confusing to me is that I barely used 5 gigs and now its saying I have less than three gigs of memory left. I did buy the 16 gig version. Can someone explain to me how come it showing this and if there is something wrong. Thanks

Reformatting your internal will correct it.

Did you do a backup via recovery? Mine was the same as yours until I deleted the backup (after 4.3 was installed and running).

Not really.! I have TWRP installed. Not sure which selection or steps to do.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-T989 using Tapatalk 2
Go into TWRP Recovery choose "Wipe" -> "Format Data" -> then type in "yes" -> "go"
After reset is finished restart the phone normally. That's it.
Lost Storage
I had the same problem. Tried several different methods to try to recover my storage. I too performed a format from TWRP and gained my storage back.
Guys, I have this problem.
My wife has a N7 32GB. Some months ago, after flashing some roms, I discovered that the N7 only had 16GB instead of 32GB. But in the meantime I never had the chance to "reformat" data partition or flash a factory image. Wife didn't want me to fomat it!!!
Today, I was finally going to do that, flash a factory image, but discovered that the usb connector is broken!!! The tablet charges ok but when I connect it to my pc, it starts to constantly connecting/disconnecting to it. I tried 3 different usb cables and the same with the 3. I even open the tablet and tighten the usb port, because it was very loose, but even then it still does the same. So, I don't have any chance to flash or send commands via my pc. (can I send them via wifi?! )
Can I just go into recovery and format/wipe data?!
By the way, from all the stories that I've seen from this problem, on bootloader, mine says Flo 32G and not 16GB like most of them. Can a simple wipe data do the job?!v Hope so...
When I installed 5.0.1 on my 2012 N7, about 10GB of my internal storage mysteriously vanished (I was getting disk full errors with only 2-3GB of stuff showing up in disk usage) and wiping the userdata partition fixed that.
I really do not like how half the fixes for Android issues tend to involve having to wipe devices, especially considering how there is no simple built-in method to do complete and timely selective backups and restore. To get anything resembling that functionality, you need to unlock the bootloader, root the device, install SU and a third-party backup tool. (Doing backups with TWRP might be easy but it is not selective and editing the tarball afterward can get messy.)

Lost internal sd

I installed the latest cm 10.2 everything was working great. Installed xposed framework. Went to sleep. When I woke up tab was dead. I charged it a little and turned it on. It got stuck at splash screen. I booted it into recovery and cannot get internal memory to mount. Iy just shows blank. My ext sd shows up but internal does not. Any ideas?

I have no OS, please help!!!

Hey everyone. So I thought that I would flash CM11 to my Nexus 10 last night, coming from CM10.2 via CWM. Well something happened and it wouldn't let me flash it, it said status 7 and install aborted.,I backed everything up, so no big deal right? Wrong! My backup says MD5 mismatch. So now my tablet won't boot past Google screen, except for into CWM. What can I do to fix this? I only have access to a mac computer.

have you tried the Nexus Root Toolkit? You can flash stock rom from it with just one click. I'm not sure if it works on mac, but give it a try, it's in the development section
I did just that! Thanks.
