The weather app seems to be consuming a lot of battery even though i dont have it on. Does anybody know what is going on?

It uses location services, so maybe that has something to do with it. Can you get a GPS lock? Do you have google services location set?
Worst case you can disable it.

Root the phone and put misbehaving apps to sleep with Greenify.
Have you ever setup the weather app? Maybe if you set it up and allow it to obtain a fix it'll behave itself.

I froze all kinds of Sprint and LGE apps in Titanium Backup in effort to stop PRL updates but the software ZV8_13 update still showed up this morning. Irritating.
I'm rooted/stock and got the notification as well.
I hear the update opens up a couple of bands and improves signal. I'm very tempted to install it but waiting a bit for some questions to be answered.

Does anyone have a list of the t-mobile bloat that can be removed, or better yet, a script to do it?
Anyone?

Hey guys. Is there a way to freeze the software update so it doesn't force push the kitkat ota overnight? I don't want kitkat until they get the battery drain from Bluetooth and phone idle under control.
I know of titanium backup and fotakill. I'm not rooted though.

There is no way to stop it unless you are rooted you really can't do much unless you are rooted its difficult to not have root because you need root to freeze apps

So I have slide aside disabled bc I don't need it or use it. Even though it is turned off in system settings it is still using system resources. I'm not rooted so I can't just freeze it in TB. Is there no other way to stop it from using battery?
