Slide Aside - G2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

So I have slide aside disabled bc I don't need it or use it. Even though it is turned off in system settings it is still using system resources. I'm not rooted so I can't just freeze it in TB. Is there no other way to stop it from using battery?

AP Mobile eating up my battery

Its consuming almost half. 46%. How do I get rid of it? There is no remove option. Is this related to google search?

You need Titanium Backup or Root Uninstaller, and of course you must obtain root firstly, then you can freeze or uninstall this app.
Thanks got it and killed the sucker!

How to allow only certain apps mobile data?

I always have my mobile data turned off so that I don't get charged for it extra on my bill as I don't want random apps to be using data in the background without me knowing. I want to find a way to only enable data to the app Cerberus which can track your phone and stuff when lost. Is there a way to only enable data on certain apps because I don't mind paying a few extra dollars if that means me finding my lost phone.

If you go to settings>data usage and tap on an app in the list at the bottom of the screen, then you have an option to turn off background data when using mobile. See screenshot (it's in polish, but you get what I mean )

How?

A firewall from the play store. I recommend Android Firewall.
Edit: requires root
Use droidwall (rooted users only)
OK so a firewall did work and let me set which apps I want to allow WiFi and data... However it was really annoying because after I install a new app it would prompt me asking me to set the settings up for the new app... I don't want to keep doing this for every app I install is there any other way??

probably sync settings. Not sure.
you can try freezing it or deleting at own risk. Or try those location settings.
I dont have this but thats what I would do

Here, I found which all has it. At own risk. LG weather theme. Found by opening in Rom toolbox the app info for it.
Its either in root\app\data or in root\system\app.
At own risk, delete or freeze.
what I would do is copy to sdcard then delete, if not freeze.
Reboot recovery, wipe cache+dalvik

WiFi phone

Hi I was just wondering what can I delete in my system app/ wakeblock to just have my phone work only on WiFi. I don't have service anymore and I know that having all the service stuff on here drains my battery. Or dose it not matter? Thanks!

I would honestly leave it, removing could actually cause drain. Just put it in AP mode and use WiFi

That's what I was thinking. ^^^
I know from experience. That stuff is built into the framework. Basically so deeply integrated that you would have to modify other things that I'm not even gonna go into.

OK thanks guy!
