I've used sacs ROM and Google edition ROM and all different kernels...but my battery...is really bad, I know there's alot of factors but I put a monitor on it and all my apps are doing like nothing...I'm not really using the phone to much... So I'm really confused as to why its like this...

Always the possibility of a bad battery. Have you checked the water marks to see if they have been activated ?
Another thing. Are you using the stock charger ?

I'll give it a look, I didn't think it'd be that, but I'll check
As an example I get about less than 10 hours on a good day if I don't charge or use it much, like WiFi off and whatnot

Yeah there was no water damage marks that were on the battery, it was still white so I'm not sure what's happening

Just a suggestion but with ghost battery issues like yours I would download/install BetterBatteryStats if you have not already and post the dumps in the thread so they can be looked at by those that know what to look for: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1179809

It's supposed to do that.
It doesn't charge up to 100% to preserve the battery's health, it's designed this way.
If you really want it up to 100%, you can always bump charge it.

Also to note. Bump charging can cause problems, so read that to decide whether or not you want to do it.

Extended Battery Finds?

So, now that I've realized and begun the painful process of accepting my battery won't make it until my bed time (11ish). Anyone get a good find on an extended battery. Preferably one that doesn't require added bulk. A 2500 mah that fits the stock slot would be soooo nice
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using xda app-developers app
Also interested in this. The phone is so thin a bigger battery might not add too much bulk anyway. Any word on official extended battery?
Just buy a spare battery.
sent from my GALAXY SIII
Nope, I went through that with a captivate. Not gonna keep switching, its too much work especially with a case
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using xda app-developers app
Do a search in this or the Q&A forum. There was someone who found an expensive one but he was getting something like 40 hours usage! The battery comes with its own battery cover that will replace the stock cover.

I'm trying to avoid adding bulk. However, what's the best one that would require a cover?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using xda app-developers app
Just received email reply from Seidio that they are going to make one for the G3 but wouldn't give me an ETA.

Hmm isn't that only 100mah more than stock ? Seems completely pointless , what we need is at least 2500mah or above to get a benefit

Extended batteries are nice, but you can never find a decent case to fit one. I'll go through the trouble of pulling off my case to pop in my spare battery. :cyclops:
There's already a thread on this in q&a which is where this belongs. Maybe a mod can merge this

Post your battery status here

Hello folks,
These kinds of threads can be found for other phones but I think we haven't such thing here for our beloved GN.
So please take a screenshot of your battery status from android setting and uplaod it here. Especially from the screen on time.
In addation please mention your ROM and kernel and their versions so we can have an accurate comparison and nice statistic pool.
Cheers,

Guys these stats do not mean much. I really like the idea of the thread and would like to see what stats other people are getting with their battery life. But all I can see are stats posted when the phone is hardly in use.
On screen time is all in bits and pieces. Can someone post a picture of their stats with their AWAKE and ON SCREEN tabs at full blue - meaning it was being used constantly. Those stats would mean alot more than these. Cause anyone can not use the phone at all and post their stats up having easily more than 1 & 1/2 day of battery.
I for one do not have screen shots but I do recall not getting more than 4-5 hours of on screen time.
I know this isn't long, but this is heavy usage screen on 75%of the time, I think it's awesome battery status for this.
And I still have 54% battery.

you shouldn't have a problem downloading a 1 or 2gig movie within 30 minutes to an hr, it'll drain your battery half way regardless of kernel though.
If you're worried, you should stop pirating or Johnny Law will be on your rear. jkjk
To answer your question, just use it without connecting to the charger. Also, calibrating the battery is not necessary either.

So draining the battery regularly doesn't hurt it?
So in conclusion connecting the charger hurts the battery?
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda app-developers app
Keeping your battery at 100% all the time (letting your phone plugged into the charger) is literally the worst thing you could possibly do to the battery besides overheating it.
If you want to get the longest lifespan out of the battery, keep it between 40 and 80% and under 40°C (which is why the N4 starts throttling itself at 38°C)

Of course it will. It's a battery. They only have so many charge cycles. You can always buy another. With a little effort the battery can be swapped out.

I just had my lawyer answer a ~1800 euro claim for some song that had magically found its way into my torrent downloading software. He charged me 208€.
Don't download pirated media..
He never said he was downloading copyrighted material... plenty of legal Ubuntu torrents available and last time I checked that's not piracy
