I think it would last a very long time..... A ***** rated freezer should keep it fresh for a year or two I think
Haha leave 10 years from now then see out primitive technology so it would probably work again?

Ive recently noticed that my battery runs out very quickly, it is totally drained in 2 hours with moderate to heavy use (excluding gaming)
I though it was the rom at first but I'm not totally sure because the battery used to make to through the day but now it totally sucks
I want to know if its the rom or battery, I'm currently using 3.0 SDSL

you shouldn't have a problem downloading a 1 or 2gig movie within 30 minutes to an hr, it'll drain your battery half way regardless of kernel though.
If you're worried, you should stop pirating or Johnny Law will be on your rear. jkjk
To answer your question, just use it without connecting to the charger. Also, calibrating the battery is not necessary either.

So draining the battery regularly doesn't hurt it?
So in conclusion connecting the charger hurts the battery?

Keeping your battery at 100% all the time (letting your phone plugged into the charger) is literally the worst thing you could possibly do to the battery besides overheating it.
If you want to get the longest lifespan out of the battery, keep it between 40 and 80% and under 40°C (which is why the N4 starts throttling itself at 38°C)

Of course it will. It's a battery. They only have so many charge cycles. You can always buy another. With a little effort the battery can be swapped out.
That's right anyway I just wanted to know the least way I can damage the battery while downloading. ..do u have a suggestion

I can't give you advice on how to make piracy less damaging to your phone. That's against the rules.

I just had my lawyer answer a ~1800 euro claim for some song that had magically found its way into my torrent downloading software. He charged me 208€.
Don't download pirated media..
He never said he was downloading copyrighted material... plenty of legal Ubuntu torrents available and last time I checked that's not piracy

Guys am talking about not damaging my battery not the phone

So in conclusion
I should download until the battery drops to 40% and then recharge it
2- never leave the device connected all day

Is any kind of battery training required for the new s4
And how to do so if yes
Sent from my GT-I9500 using xda premium
Nope just use it. I like to wait till it's below 15% to charge it and always leave it charging till its full.
The main thing is not to let it discharge completely.

Always the possibility of a bad battery. Have you checked the water marks to see if they have been activated ?
Another thing. Are you using the stock charger ?

I'll give it a look, I didn't think it'd be that, but I'll check
As an example I get about less than 10 hours on a good day if I don't charge or use it much, like WiFi off and whatnot

Just a suggestion but with ghost battery issues like yours I would download/install BetterBatteryStats if you have not already and post the dumps in the thread so they can be looked at by those that know what to look for: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1179809
