I just got curious and wanted to see a reasonably in depth look at specs to compare our lovely Z and the new all singing and dancing iphone 5s and it's baby brother the 5c.
http://www.phonearena.com/phones/co...hone-5c,Apple-iPhone-5s/phones/7539,7983,7710
What I find interesting is that realistically the new IPhones are very much lagging behind the Z, and dare I say it here the S4, in terms of hardware and software. Don't get me wrong it's a nice looking set of phones Apple have just released but tech wise I don't see why Apple insist on keeping their specs lower than the competition and resting on their brand image to keep their customer base, I mean seriously, an 8mp camera is a joke when Sony have 13mp and the newer add on lense. Their latest software isn't any improvement over the latest version of the 5 itself. The finger scanner is the only real technological advances they made, and big woop... a scanner. (I had some experience playing around with these fingerprint scanners in a previous job and get one little cut on your thumb at your out of luck, most won't recognise you)
They have the financial and technological backing to blow all Android phones out the water.... BUT they never do.
What are people's views on this?

thanks a lot Samsung for inventing plastic crap. you got a follower now and its name is same of a fruit.
@Entropy512, can you explain the benefits (if any), of the 5s having a 64-bit processor? Thanks
I'm not entropy but I'm willing to give out my opinion on this. A bigger faster processor is only more battery hogging. it could helps in gaming on mobile but after all, smart phones are phones and not computers. why do you need a 64bit processor for that ? in terms of beauty iPhone might take the lead but this innovative are going down the curve.

Let's make a phone because we are loosing business to Android but they still release a phone which you cannot customise in anyway, unlike Android which is completely customisable not only the Z but even the HTC one SG4 ect.

thanks man!
I came from an S2 with 8 MP camera to Z with the 13.1 MP.
I just don't care much about it. 8 MP or 13 or 20 - it's fine by me. I have a Nikon D80 for taking pictures. My phone is for taking snap-shots here and now. I don't buy a phone because of the camera if picture quality is equal to Wildfire S.
Am I the only one who does not care that much about camera?
LTE network for hi-speed mobile data, large screen for my large hands and storage capacity for the apps I need, SD-card option to move data (why can you not store ANY type of file you want to on an iPhone?) quick loading of webpages and apps because of a powerful CPU, quick and reliable location service and navigation, SSH access to manage Ubuntu servers, FTP clients and servers for filesharing directly from my SD card via wireless network in my home, the ability to mount the storage as a portable USB drive, and tons of other things - those are the things that really matters to me. My phone should be a powerful computer always connected to the internet when I'm out of the house - not a camera.
The small screen on iPhone is enough for me to not want it. I don't get why Apple does not release a 5" version.
Most of the comments i hear from customers about iphone and apple are:
1) Design
2) Inovation
3) Luxury feel
With this 2013 launch of 5S and 5C apple is going to a dangerous road.
- Design-wise continues to be good but people are geting way bored of too many phones that look-alike the previous generation of iphones.
- Inovation-wise it's clear by now that Apple is no longer on the forefront. People already identify Samsung as "leading".
- Luxury status - With the launch of a plastic-budget oriented phone Apple is starting to lose the relationship most people had between Iphone = expensive, luxury, i'm-so-rich feeling.
In fact, in my customer rating i would have to say that 9out of 10 iphone users absolutely hated the idea of the 5C "cheap iphone", most were so but-hurt of losing a little bit of the premium feel of the brand that mentioned that they won't upgrade to the 5S and in fact they'll try out Android afterwards.
A lot of people like glamour, luxury and the premium feel of having a highly famous device on their posession, if Apple starts losing that apeal i'm quite sure i'll sell more android and less IOs very, very soon.
Cheers

Haha I guess that's what it always comes down to in the end the "more is better" bs
For me:
Design: Z, not much to say, some might prefer the clean 5S design though
Usability: Z, bigger screen, more res, more content, specially webpages.
Performance: Tie?
OS: Z, Android customizability anyone?
Battery life: Surely goes to the 5S, Apple devices usually excell at battery life
Camera: ??
Screen: 5S, I like color reproduction, white balance, and overall screen quality of the 5. Nothing to do the "viewing angles" people complain about, I care **** about it.

You can't compare specs between iOS and android. IOS will always run more smooth on lesser hardware, because it was made for it. The camera probably destroys the Z's. The old iphone 5 already did. Battery probably a tie, or a bit better on the 5s. Apple don't rely on heavy techspecs because they don't need to.. Wonder when reviewes get that fact?..
Sent from my C6603 using XDA Premium HD app
Yes i can compare specs between them. we're now in a age that blessed us with Quad core, Real Octa core and Snapdragon 800 like blazing fast and battery efficient processors while apple still on their A6/A7 chip with dual core. by looking at this when we reach to 10 core processors, apple will then introduce its first quad core iPhone it seems. battery is way way more efficient on android than iPhone and i say this by personal experience and i do own an iPhone. Apple really should put in heavy specs if this being the scenario.
and i don't quite understand why everyone is saying iPhone 5C is a cheap iPhone?

As much as i don't like general Apple marketing strategy, i am not that cocky as many other WM and Android users that will surely tell you things like... Android rules!!!!! Get your iWhatever and go play with your useless toy!!! YEAHH!!!
In the end, i think each platform is targeted to a whole different market. Hard to say X is better than Y... it depends much on the point of view you compare from...
Agree!!!!
Iphone is for lemmings
WM and BlackBerry is for Business People
Android is for moders, hackers, people that like to be unique
Symbian is still out there but sadly its dying slowly
Moved is too short!
iPhone = users that are new to smartphones.. it's simple, easy to use and no customization involved other than changing wallpaper. Turn it on and you're ready to go.
Windows Mobile: A lot of features.. so many features which makes it hard to use or in other words, need to spend more time to get used to it.
Blackberry: Business users
Android: A bit of both of iPhone OS and Windows Mobile. It's easier to use than Windows Mobile but have the features which allows a lot of customization. I would say it's a hybrid.
I got both. The Iphone 4 16GB and the X10i. I have to say that both are awesome in design, usage and speed. But I love the X10 more because of the known reasons: modding, not every kid got one, Sony and 1 or 2 more.
But as we all know: savours differ.

I don't know if it's a fair question. From what I see, there's no perfect phone on the market. Everyone has their own use cases and some devices will be a better fit for some people than others. I think you'll find that both devices are excellent smartphones regardless of what you choose.
Ultimately, you have to make the decision for yourself of what is a better fit for you. The best thing you can do is make a list of your own requirements of what you expect from your phone in terms of actual usage scenarios and then map that against the features of any particular phone.
In cases like the USA, the iPhone 4, while awesome, is less attractive because you can only use it to its full potential on a crappy network that now has limited data plans (AT&T).
I don't even consider the two products in the same category since they have such different end-to-end experiences. The original poster may want to describe in a phone so people can offer more helpful customized responses.
I don't believe in iPhone anymore (also I own MacBook and previous owner for the iPhone)

Hang on, you say the iPhone 4 is divine in it's epicness yet you still will return to the X10 once some minor bugs that are already fixed are sorted? Yikes.
For me as a developer the iPhone isn't even a choice atm, releasing software for it is akin to trying to develop blindfolded and deaf. You can't ask others for help, you can't read up on the requirements for distributing your apps etc.
I used to be an iPhone developer but I went to the better platform for good a while back. It may be "slicker" for the average user but for me as an information political activist and developer it's a defínite no go.

That's pretty much it. Ericsson has been making phones for 30+ years, it was just recently that they were bought by Sony and started tacking on the walkman bits. The phone department is just Sony by name or association, it's all Ericsson.

The iPhone always leaves something to be desired. It's such a great platform but there are tiny quirks that make it unbareable to use. The limitations that Apple imposes angers me to no end!!
The iPhone is a phone that could ALMOST rock the mobile market but it doesnt. That's why I moved to using Android phones. There are less limitations and much more freedom. There isn't as much support or popularity but the communities online are much more tighter knit and there are far less idiots and fan boys. I love everything about Android

Enjoy your iPhone 4 that can't use widget, can't use the phone as an external harddrive, can't use it as a real web browsing device because it doesn't have flash, can't decide over you own phone because Apple have to decide what's best and not so good for you.
Oh also, have you seen this?: http://theiphonefever.blogspot.com/p/idont-list.html. Again, enjoy your iPhone 4 lol.
Now, you say you can get much more batterytime with the iPhone 4 over the XPERIA X10?. Ok, tell me how many hours you can get out of the iPhone 4 before it's out of power?.
I know even before you tell me this that my XPERIA X10 just blows your iPhone 4 out of the water in battery time.
And when your gonna use the phone as a web browsing device, for GPS, and to watch movies then 4 inch screen -> 3.5 inch screen any days.
Oh i heard your pictures that your transfering over via iTunes looks just beautifull lol. Try and zoon in on your pictures after they are moved over to your iPhone 4 via iTunes.
Isn't that cool?.
Now tell me something iPhone 4 have that my Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 doesn't have?.

meeeh, to each his own. how the phone feels in one's hand is completely subjective to the individual.
I do agree with him that the body of the iPhone looks and feels like a luxury product. But for actual daily use, theres no getting around that the SIII is just better in every aspects other than SMS'ing or typing in phone numbers. Also the icon grid of the iphone is a pain in the a**. The ability to setup home screens is much more useful. And thats just the top of the software iceberg.
I have also come to love the light plastic phones by Samsung. It's hard to break and the warmer feel is just great.
The reviewer does come off as a sort of fanboi. His "final verdict" didn't seem to take into account any specifics of the S3 at all, only a rehash of the usual android vs iphone stereotype.

The iphone. A great product in its day. The iphone4 was a leading handset in its day. Sadly for the coolaid drinkers that day is long past. The iphone is surpassed in every meaningful way now. Unlike most here though I hope they up their game huge for iphone5 because the iphone is what made all of the many better handsets that can be had now happen. A **** hot iphone 5 means that everyone gets better. If they don't it means I get an iphone five. I love competition.
We are at a point were you can not make the phone any better in terms of screen resolution speed and battery life so I think phones after this will be pretty similar. I don't expect anything death shattering from the iPhone 5 . Maybe a bigger screen.

Er, while I don't claim to be an expert on Moore's law, I doubt you have good grounds for that claim either. Both screen technology and processor power have improved significantly each year, and indeed the iPhone still has to play catch-up in terms on specs. There is definitely room for improvement of the iPhone at the very least (and probably everything else as well).

I agree. The coming phone might do better in benchmarks, but in real life, that difference will be barely noticeable.
Just look at some of the Note vs. HOX on youtube. The difference is much less than the specs would suggest.

1) Last year not being much different from this year does not imply that development has been capped.
2) One cannot expect a notable difference anyway, since everything in the current ecosystem is designed not to take advantage of so many resources. As the resources grow, however, so will demand tend to grow with it. Eventually, for example, with enough cores, enough RAM, and an efficient enough battery, it will become feasible for the OS to simply leave all background tasks running, just like on our computer. That would be a notable change, but clearly it could not happen overnight.

I was just talking about the next iPhone not about the general development of phones. Given how phones are used this year and probably next year, doubling up the hardware specs, will not result in a twice as good user experience.
When you shoot a video from an iPhone 4S its look like you have already zoom a little bit and apart from that its video quality is smooth, colours look so bright and vivid. On the other hand video quality of S3 we will came to know after it get launch.

how do you compare two vastly different phones for vastly different customer population? also honestly, why is everyone comparing to the iPhone still? while they may sell the most due to people either being invested in ios or for cult like reasons, i really don't see them as the standard anymore. comparison is great for specs but i'm just tired of everyone regarding the iPhone as the standard.

But that answer depend on who is wearing what, and from a viewer point of view rather than user point of view. Well at least that is not my brain is talking.
Ok, first off. Comparing two phones that aren't out/ didn't personally use them for a while is not fair. A6 is probably dual core A15's, the iPad 3 doesn't have the same processor but it still is the fastest(check benchmarks/game FPS). In 3D performance, iPhone 5 would probably win. Operating system is biased and that's the end of it. You can only state the features but which one is better is your opinion. I think iOS works very well, but that's about it. It gets boring quickly even though it's doing its job of working as expected. Android is way more functional and with ICS and later, apps aren't ugly and have a style now.
Okay, seriously? Siri is a better assistant than Google Now? Siri has more sports knowledge? That is incredibly wrong.
Number 1, Siri gets all its info from Google. Number 2, Google Now updates you prior, during, and after the game has been played.
This review was not completed with the best support, not to mention the iPhone hasn't been released to effectively compare speeds, camera, etc. Although, I have no doubt the GNII will destroy the iPhone 5.

I appreciate your friend for writing this comparison and you for sharing it with us, but so many mistakes in his comparisons. The iphone 5 and the iPad 3 do not share the same processor, the iPad has an A5x chip ( arm cortex A9)while the new iphone has an A6 chip( arm cortex A15 which is a beast). The iphone camera is known to be one of the best around, I won't jump to conclusion on which is better until we see what the note 2 can do. Siri is light years better than S voice, but Google now is better than siri. I'm definitely not defending the iphone but since this is an honest thread we have to state the facts. Its hard to judge the exterior of each phone cause to each his own, and as far as battery life goes, I expect the note 2 to map the floor out with any phone on the market, including the iphone 5. The note 2 comes with a 1.6 GHz Exynos 4 quad processor ( quad core) which is a beast also. Both phones have powerful processors that will make them fly. I prefer the note 2 cause of the s pen and its new features, the 5.5 inch screen, the OS, the ability customise it however you want it. But the iphone 5 is no slouch, its a very good phone but it doesn't deserve all the hype its getting. Deuces

I prefer the note 2 cause of the s pen and its new features, the 5.5 inch screen, the OS, the ability customise it however you want it. But the iphone 5 is no slouch, its a very good phone but it doesn't deserve all the hype its getting. Deuces

You make some excellent points my man. I still believe that Androids vs iPhones continues to be based on what the user is looking for. I think the gap in that argument is changing but it still exists.

It all comes down to what you looking for, at the end of the day. Its is clear that I phones cater more to the masses, people that want a good phone that just works, versus android that caters to the more tech oriented people who like customisation and modding. I have a friend who used to be a crazy ROM flasher, he actually got me into android. Now he doesn't really flash ROM or anything, he just wants something that is stable and works well and he is actually considering getting an iphone ( he used to hate I phones). All the android vs apple iphone is based on that, whether you want something great that just work and you don't have to worry about a thing, or you want something else that is also great, works but can be perfected to your liking.

something catered to the masses wouldn't cost an arm and a leg. Android is catered to the mass with different levels of price range. Android stock is just as easy to use.
My life for Aiur
Finally a thread where people aren't just bashing one thing or the other. Honestly just like everyone here, I think these phones are in a different class, and really can't be compared. People who go for the iPhone 5 have a lot to look forward to, the phone is still fast, has a nice screen, and can finally use LTE which is great. What I don't get is that many people still can't really appreciate it, it is a beast of a phone in such a small package, I mean no offense to the note 2 but that thing is huge and has a lot more space for a bigger or better chip, more ram, bigger battery, a lot of things but the iPhone 5 can still hold it's own and still be really small. Now I will be getting the note 2 because I can't wait for that thing, it's like everything samsung could ever do into one package, it might be the first in the US with a quad core and LTE and a 5.5 screen, and the screen is unique on it's own, hd super amoled, with it being sort of in between a pentile and a amoled plus screen. Really spec wise it is a tech geeks wet dream, and I don't care if I look dumb making calls, I barely do that anyways, currently have the og epic touch and the devs here have kept this phone alive, I can even run jb on this. With the hype around the note 2 I hope it gets a lot of dev support because that thing was made for paranoid android and I can't wait to start flashing.

I think Samsung should sue apple for stealing its ideaof extending battery life.
In my honest opinion, there is absolutely no reason to own an iPhone 5 as it basically reinforces my belief that Apple suckers people in to $200 software upgrades. Samsung ( and others ) time and time again comes out with the stronger hardware. A lot of people say it comes down to personal preference, but I fail to see how people could prefer the iPhone. Out of date hardware, smaller screen, limited OS and customization abilities, having to be hooked to iTunes, etc.
I so wanted to try the iPhone 5 instead of my GSIII, but after the lackluster press release and underwhelming specs... I was left sorely disappointed. I'll be saving my upgrade for now.

Yea, I can't believe people think they are innovators. During their keynote they were explaining how apps designed for the 3.5" screen will work on the 4" screen. Luckily their outstanding engineers and advanced technology, they can center the app on the screen and put a black bar on the top and bottom of the app. WOW. Everyone give Apple a hand clap for their innovation in the field. Android on the other hand, sets their apps to determine the density and automatically sizes it to your screen....woo....black bars would look way better though *sarcasm*
Sent from my SPH-D710 using xda app-developers app
Its basically a slightly stretched 4s, makes me yawn to even contemplate it, how can you compare such a little toy to a NOTE version 1 or 2, even though they are so proud and numbly excited about the ohh arrr slightly bigger screen, its still too small, it looks exactly the same just a load of apps dotted about on a screen inside a square edged lump, these simple phones have there place with the mums and babies groups with there designer gold handbags and tasselled lifestyles.

You can't compare the iPhone 5 with the Note 2. Complete different devices.
OK 1 billion threads I know but its more so a thread of my joy.
See the big boys Samsung/Apple/HTC should be working along the lines of when they bring out their top end phone, its the best one....maybe for a few short months, but that’s the way tech works, wait for one company to bring something out then you better it.
My joy has came from the fact that I was waiting for Apple to trump Samsung, its a newer phone/hype so it will be better, Apples chance to go one up on Samsung, they have the court win (fix ) and a new phone right behind that, times are good, what could go wrong..........oh dear, its not quite the phone we all thought it might be.
Not a Apple fan (was many years ago) but had they brought out a really top end/new ideas phone then it would have been bad news for Samsung (state side) as it is Samsung now have the perfect chance to really push this, they have in a way got off lightly.
It will be very easy for Samsung to make a phone that easily outstrips the ip5, I just hope they take a little bit extra from that tech they are sitting on and really leave other companies behind, but that comes with a high cost.
P.S
Just love how Apple is lost for ideas.
I know the war on trying to bring other firms down to their speed is well under way but its shocking when they are so open about lack of innovation on their side.
There was a write up about the iphone 5 looking like a longer 4s, and the question was put to Apple on why the look of the phone has hardy changed since iphone4, the reply was that they felt it was a great design and that people liked it, and that they don’t see the main shape changing for sometime yet.
Why not simply say
“we don’t have any idea what we could do and we are not willy to take any chances, customers are happy with it so why bother trying any new ideas, but if the sales are not what we wanted then we will make a slight change to the shape........this is Apple after all, we are all about slight changes here”
So comment/delete yet another thread either way I am happy Apple dropped the ball with this one.
Apple has just smashed preorder records over all their other phones. Samsung won't outsell the iPhone, and in terms of specs their phones have always been better anyway.

I think it's 4 million preorders for the iPhone 5.
Also iSheep don't buy a phone because it's the best (like us) they buy a phone because it's an iPhone no other reason. Apple could make a new Nokia 3310 and people would still buy it thinking it's the best because they blindly follow Apple.

Anyway,i do agree to that.
Most of apples buyers are dumb...
A youtube video where they showed the people the 4s instead of the 5 and most of them said it's definently better even though it was THE SAME FRICKING PHONE??
Jesus...i wonder who the hell did we get there sometimes...
Well I know I have a good phone when I can do everything I need w/o much tinkerin...I dont like CM and I hardly use modded stuff so I am not spoiled by the custom rom godness and still any stock android phone 2.3 and up have better usability than any iThing up to date. Cant debate usability.
Android top phones come in better specs, and spec is something that can be measured because its a fact that hardware X is faster than Y, cant debate on that when the difference is so great between top android phones and iphone.
The screen size, for me 4.5 is better than 4.8, that we can debate as it is personal preference. Everything else is no brainer for me, real multitask, widgets, the fact that I can chose my default apps, change my ringtone at will, stuff all my mp3 in a sdcard and be happy all day, and the look in my iphone friends faces when I click on a street addres inside gmail and android ask me if I want directions or maps...
Anyone who try to argue that iphone is a better smart phone is wrong, iphone is a better...ipod that make calls...for the hardware it sports and the target market I would say the iphone is still overkill.
Android phones will always have better specs, that's not going to change. Apple sells features not specs and that I mean by that is that Apple will advertise a certain feature, siri, and people will see that and flock, or something like icloud, and people will buy. 5 years ago if you would of told me that the wii would be one of the best selling systems of all time, I would of laughed, the wii is just gamecube 2,with a new controller, but Nintendo focused on features and not specs and look what happened
I think Samsung is getting the idea, advertise what the phone can do, and why you need it, then people will buy. It's easy to say that the iphone is gonna outsell the sg3 because if you want an iphone you get an iphone, there no choice, if you want a android, you literally have 500 choices.
Plus Samsung makes alot of the parts for the iphone so they winning regardless

That could just mean they doing a Buzz Lightyear and deliberately creating stock shortages so all the iSheep think it's more popular than it actually is.
The ip5 will sell well, but if its looking to good then Samsung will start teasing the SGS4 and its "maybe specs" I mean there is already talk of its first showing next year been March.
This is Samsungs chance to distance their product, better specs/features/look, after Apples so so ip5 Samsung really need to make the most of it and show off, it does come at a cost but long term it will be a winner.

Features are what matters to the average person not pointless benchmark results and a little bit of a speedup, and iPhone chronically lacks features compared to Android.
Apple does not have to try hard for making an 'innovative' phone. Just putting a new name tag would turn on the iSheeps and sell like hot cakes. So be it.

1- You're looking for trouble
2- You're immature enough to even think about creating such pointless, wasted space on XDA servers.

The bigger you are, the easier it is to pick on you. I am happy with my choices, but out of all OEMs, i think Samsung offers consistently good products even if they each have their flaws. No matter what they do, they cannot make everybody happy, thankfully on the Android ecosystem, there will never be a lack of choice. To each their own

True guess they are one of the bigger companies. Im super happy with the new build quality of the note 5/s6.
Was shocked about how many people were displeased with the no sd card, coming from an s6 edge. I also own a iPhone 6 so memory card there either. I was pretty happy with just big internal storage. No idea why they cut the note off at 64gb.
what's your opinion on 4k phones?
With the Z phones battery life, I'm not shocked Sony is the first phone company going at it. Plus they've had 4k tvs out for a bit now.
Personally I think why one might not notice the need/difference for 4k, they'll grow into it like they did 1440p phones. I can't imagine people streaming 4k video or storing much of it on there phone tho. Although I've read the z5 can handle up to 200gb sd cards (pretty pricey probably)
To anybody reading would you want 4k on the next note?
I think Samsung should handle the ram fiasco first and then maybe try to incorporate sd cards again since it seems like a lot of people weren't happy with the loss of extendable memory

LG has it too, but it's not as good as what Samsung has. Samsung's Multi-Window is better than the competition. There's Multi Window in the Android M Developer Preview on the Nexus 5/6, but it's experimental at the moment... Meaning it's not ready yet. It probably won't be on the official Android Marshmallow release though.

Samsung is the only company that can afford a slow but steady "Apple like" evolution of their phones. Other OEMs have to resort to making phones that have special features that stand out in order to attract client. All OEMs except for Samsung are currently losing money so they have to come up with ways to say "our phone was the first that did X, or had X" Sometimes it works out in their favor, sometimes not. A bit like the ultra-pixel 4MP camera on HTC One. They were marketing that features as if it were unique to their flagship and most importantly, a camera game changer. Turned out, it was good for shooting nice low res pictures in low light, but it was overall one of the worst camera ever at the time.
As for the 4K screen, sure, it's nice, but battery technology isn't here to justify a 4K screen without a considerable drop in battery life and overall performance. Samsung has been working on a super thin flexible high capacity battery that will revolutionize battery life on smartphones, but until then, these features will just be a way to impress others...i'm not even sure you'll see that much of a difference between our screens and a 4K screen.

Sony's mobile division is losing $1M a day. The pricing on the Z5P makes the Note 5 look like a bargain. Can you imagine the impact a 4K screen will have on battery life; especially when at 8+" away from the screen you won't be able to tell the difference from QHD? I wish Sony well but if I were to bet I'd say their mobile division will be sold within a year. Their entire business (with the exception of PS) is in trouble and they can't carry a $365M annual loss forever. Three new high priced phones aimed at a shrinking Western market niche (high end smartphones) isn't going to get them anywhere. Just like the gorgeous M7 that set a design standard when it was released couldn't help HTC who's on their death bed. If I were to look at another Android brand it would be LG. They, like Samsung, have a deep pocketed conglomerate parent and they actually make money in mobile. It was $1 per phone last quarter but it's better than what everyone else (but Samsung) are experiencing.

Like I said before I'm with you, plus won't the battery usage being higher for video since it's an lcd screen? They're claiming 2 day battery but idk
Yes I was reading with all the mid-tier phones being so good, these higher priced phones are losing sales. If they lose their mobile division how will they offer the free year of playstation plus for buying their latest Xperia Z

good thread.
I've been considering whether to wait for the Z5 or take the plunge and buy note 5 now.
The price is a factor as Z5 is more expensive but mind you it does look brilliant better then note 5.
4k screen is amazing amazing
I would have bought note 5 in an instance where it not for TW and i do prefer sony UI.

Definately sounds like you would enjoy the Z5 more. Maybe you could get it on a payment plan, if it seems too expensive.
If you're into rooting, I would check out the z5 forum first. On one of the older Xperia Zs unlocking the boot loader affected the camera software, idk if they ever found away around that since I don't frequent over their too often.

Nope. That division is Samsung Semiconductor. The number I shared is purely for mobile devices. They sold $22B in mobile devices last quarter alone.

Where have you seen pricing for it? Sony has not released pricing for the device yet.
