How's Your One Currently Setup? - One (M7) General

This is a thread made specifically to share anything about your Current HTC One setup
Whatever you want to share is entirely up to you
This could be anything from your setup such as the exterior of your phone such as case, protector, etc. to the interior of your phone such as Rom, Kernel, Theme, etc..
Before sharing your setup please take note of the following...
This is NOT a "Best"/ "Most Stable" setup thread... (Whatever someone else is running or using doesn't mean you'll share the same experience)
DO NOT BASH another users setup (If you don't like a setup you see please keep it to yourself)
PLEASE RESPECT All Developers & Themers etc.. (They all work really hard and dedicate a lot of time and they do this for free)
DO NOT ask for any help or troubleshooting (If you have a question or need help pm the user or just look in the respective thread of that rom, mod etc.)
Reposting your new setup is encouraged (If you change roms or buy something new in a week or a few days come back and share)
Pictures & Screenshots are welcome (Show off your new case or share the pretty rainbow theme you just flashed)
If you share an opinion on YOUR OWN setup remember it's YOUR OWN setup and not everyone else will have the same experience
HAVE FUN & I look forward to seeing some awesome setups

Overall my setup is pretty solid. Rom has been very stable for the most part just minor bugs. The customization is as good as it gets. I think it's what really managed to keep me away from aosp aside from blink feed. Battery life is good. I will admit that the crackflasher in me is starting to takeover so I'll probably be switching to something else soon. Both of the mods I'm using enhance my sound experience on my One and I will definetly be using those on any future roms I flash.

Same as myself except I have a clear gel case on mine

Exterior - HTC official red and grey plastic case which I think looks pretty cool
Interior - Stock android 4.2.2 due to a worry about changing rom, as the One I had before the device I have now randomly stopped charging. And now I'm lumbered with hboot 1.54
So I'm afraid everthings stock with my device

Coming from the Apple world, I was thrilled with the stock Sense and the freedom of Android. Then I started modding using widgetlocker and apex launcher. I was happy for awhile. Then I decided to root. I was happy for awhile. Then I researched and researched and decided on the SInLess GE ROM and love it. Funny thing, I flashed back to stock to try and s-off and I felt the gui was so clunky I could not wait to get back to the SinLess ROM. I'm sure I will change it up again, but for now, I'm happy!

I like the look of the phone so much that I can bring myself to put a case on it. I like the simplicity of GE over Sense, and SinLess is just a very solid ROM. Finally, double tap to wake and HTC as menu has become so ingrained in me, I'd struggle without it.

[Q] What are the three best rom's in your own opinion?

No-one has posted one of these for a few months so I just want to stay up to date on people's favorite roms and why they like them best.. Please be sure to include pro's con's etc.
Going to flash ASAP but my evo's volume buttons are broken so.. a $100 deductable here I come..
Don't feel like listing pro's/con's but my faves are
Baked Snack
Fresh Evo
Damage Control
cm6
fresh evo
baked snack
you really have to experiment on your own brother...what i like chances are u won't like at all. its fun flashing roms anyway, go ahead and get flashing!
In order.
Myns warm twopointtwo rls2
Fresh Evo
Cyanogen Mod 6.1 nighlys
Swyped with my Evo 4g running Myns warm twopointtwo rls2
In this order:
MIUI
CM6
Fresh
myns warm two point two
baked snacks
cyanogen

My daily driver is Baked Snack 1.9 with Manup456 Revolution theme.
I really want to like CM 6 but it just reminds me of how much I like Sense over stock, call me a sucker for looks (and some widgets).
I'm interested to see what the next version of Damage Control is like.
What I'm really looking for is a ROM where the battery doesn't drop like a stone as soon as I turn on the screen, go into a low signal area, or play music in the background. Seriously, checking my email for a minute shouldn't take up 2% of my battery.
You can't go wrong with ava, fresh, and myn's Rom imo.
Battery life with stock and kings kernel were decent but I'm trying netarchys now.
So I guess the best thing to do would just to flash away as soon as my replacement evo gets in the mail and after I root it right?
MIUI

Stock?
CM6/6.1 - because it makes me feel like the phone isn't bloated with extra sense stuff I don't use anyway.
Ava-Froyov9 - because everything works (like my NHL app which never works on CM6 or Myn, etc), and I get seemingly the best battery life from this, with stock kernel.
VaelPack - Still sense, but with AOSP/Cyanogen look to some things. So most things I use work and it's still snappy and has good battery life.
And just for reference I've used the following:
CM6, Ava, VaelPack, Calkulin's EViO, myn-Warm, eOSX, AM Evolution, Fresh, Steel, BakedSnack and probably some others I'm forgetting
Current-IncDoes Desire HD with Evo FlashPatch v3, like having the newer HTC Sense and access to HTCSense.com Downfalls no camera, 4G or HDMI. I dont really need the HDMI or 4G though.
FallBack-Fresh 3.3.0.1- very stable, not bloated, gives me my 4G for when i want to use it
CM6- Very FAST, and WiiMote....
In no particular order:
Ava 9 (current)
Evio (my default series)
Fresh
Always use launcher pro/ADW, and lately using Caulks remove sense mod.
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA App
I've been using OMJ's latest rom w/the 3.0 update, no one here likes OMJ's stuff???? Haven't tried anything else yet...
AVA
Burnt Droid
MIUI (along with the iphone icons it eliminates the general consensus "ugly" Android OS.)
Myns warm twopointtwo rls2 (Most beautiful non stock rom out there in my opinion.)
Fresh(reliable and stable so it gets mentioned)
All (or most of the other roms i've tried) all seem to lay along the line of personal preference. I wouldn't argue if someone thought Vaelpaks was better than Fresh because they are similar in so many ways it's pointless. Myns and MIUI really stand out as something different from the norm and not in need of launcher pro or ADW.
Myn's 2P2
Fresh Rom
Cyanogen Mod
CM6.1 - Overall fastest, nicest ROM there is. Nothing touches this.
myn's Warm 2point2 - Best Sense ROM. Extremely stable, very pretty.
Fresh Evo - Fresh has always been solid even though it doesn't get updated as much any more.
Thanks guy's, I'll flash away right when the new phone get's in the mail

What ROM is everyone currently Running What's the best?

I just rooted my phone today after months of research now comes the fun part testing different ROMs so what's everyone running. I also wanted to know what ROMs have the black notification bar like Gingerbread. Thx in advance
Sent from my T-Mobile G2 using XDA App
GingerVillian is by far my favourite, very stable and quick
I have also just rooted my phone, I chose to use MIUI rom ported by G4rb4g3, its a great rom, feels quick and even has different themes that you can use. You can also get a gingerbread style notification bar
If your wanting just a complete black bar like Gingerbread is the only option you have at this moment is GingerVillian or some other Gingerbread based rom. You can also change the status bar to black through a CM based rom. The Sense based have the black bar but it has a gradient piece to it so it's not completely black like Gingerbread is
I've tried a MIUI rom probably 3 times and I can't use it..even though people say it's like the iPhone it's not..could never get used to it. I personally run Virtuous which is a Sense based rom and have themed it to my liking to look like Gingerbread at the current moment
meXdroid ExtraHotSauce v.02! Best rom ever. And i tried em all. You get black bar, custom pulldown bar, awesum animation in everything you do. Its based on cm 6.1.1 and is the most stable, try it out
G2 with ExtraHotSauce v0.2!!
Virtous .90
Pershoot 1.3
and .26.04.02.17 radio
love it, love sense launcher, wouldn't use anything else
Just go with the cm7 nightlies. Best thing since sliced bread.

The biggest question is if you want Sense UI or stock Android..once you decide that then you can decide on the rom lol
Every once in a while I go back to a sense rom and have to slap myself because I am reminded why themed stock is so much better. I am hooked on GingerVillain... Running 1.5 since release with no bugs or issues... very fast and excellent battery life. I think Villain rom is the best 2.3 rom for our G2's as of now.

See I'm the opposite..I prefer Sense just for the camera and dialer...the camera on my G2 takes better pictures with a Sense rom than the vanilla rom that came with it
GingerVillain 1.5, no question. I tried virtuous and it was nice, sense is very pretty, but I had to run it at 1.4ghz just to make it acceptable. Even then it slowed down plenty. Also tried Miui recently, also very pretty, but not user friendly.
Humming along nicely at 1.2ghz on Ginger and am quite happy, nothing else compares to it at the moment imo.

Ahmen to that, the camera app for the 1.72 Sense based rom is a step above what we've got atm... its the only reason id switch back to Virtuous, but I'm running CM7 nightly builds for now.

I've been playing around with Miui recently. Definitely a acquired taste
Go with CM7. Its quite stable and nightly rom updates are being cranked out, well, every night. Lots of support and you can be notified of new builds through rom manager. Requires latest cwm recovery image 3.0.0.5 (not the same as rom manager version). Comes with an oc/uv kernel up to 1.5ghz. Compatible with pershoots kernel.

I'm chill'n with Ginger Villain...'nuff said!
I am currently running the Cyanogenmod 7 Nightlys, I would like it to have more customization to the status bar like CM 6.1.1
dat miui rom is the best i have to say
The one-and-only CyanogenMod 7.

When the official CM7 comes out that will be top dog by far but right now I'm just using 6.1.1 cm I have used virtous but although it was nice looking not nearly as stable or as well put togather as cm6.1.1I have been soooooo much happier when I made the switch to cm

Posted this in a similar thread.
Started with CM6.1.1 but moved onto the CM7 Nightly's since Build 1. I keep up to date with every CM7 Nightly Build. What I have noticed based on benchmarking apps is that CM7 scores lower than CM6.1.1. This is with the updated Quadrant and SmartBench 2010 that is compatible with Gingerbread. The Quadrant score in my sig was with a early CM7 build and a non gingerbread optimized Quadrant. In day to day use I dont notice much of a speed difference though.

neat, is this RC4, I assume? Also, most people like screen shots even though often it doesn't show much.
congrats on the ROM.
Does it have a built in kernel?
gah. why does everyone assume its cm. this is not at all built from cm. its build from my own source.
it looks like gb, nothing special to see, but im working on screens now

Looks good.. I'll give it a shot!!!
Btw, this is the pure gingerbread rom that tazz was talking about on his thread the other day
Very nice.. responsive.. going to OC to try and squeeze all I can out of this dated machine but it's good!!
Anyone flash this after using gsb? Any notable speed/performance gains? I'm definately interested in a minimal, fast, lightweight rom just like this, it's just what an older phone like our eris needs.
wow!! great looking rom!!
is there any way you can add the option to choose affiliated network?
Thanks r2DoesInc - this will be fun to play with!

Nothing I would call HUGE improvements but some.. a few things are a little more responsive but for the most part GSB is pretty slim as well .. It's a solid rom.. job well done!!
I've never been too fond on the CM based roms just because I feel like there are too many options for me so when I saw this rom I knew I had to flash it since i've been waiting for a 2.3 pure android. Currently on 2.1 pure vanilla and love it. This rom is pretty awesome. One thing I did notice though was the touch buttons on the bottom of the screen seen don't seem to light up when they are supposed to. Sometimes in low light conditions they will and sometimes they won't. That is my only "complaint" which isn't that big of a deal. Again, real nice work.
Will give this a shot in the morning. Been looking for a non-CM as well....Thanks!
Flashing later tonight.
Love the ROM but wonder what C2C options there are since I have some fairly large apps.
Allow me to get this out of the way....
Derrrr, Duz this have flash!??!?//?
Liking this rom!

Fvourite Rom & Kernel Setup?

What is you favorite and most importantly WHY?.
I'm currently on rootbox 3.8 which is a great rom, and very customizable witht he navrings, lockscreens shortcuts. And the kernel I am no using (since today) is the Matr1X 7.5. I can't judge the battery life yet but the fact it supports double tap screen to turn screen on and swipe to turn it off is fantastic.
So whats your favourite and why?
F*** Messed up title. Mod change it svp
Cm + franco
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda premium
Carbon + Franco! I've read good things about both pieces and have been testing them together for a week or so; i must say, they both work marvelously.
CM + Matr1x.
I have really enjoyed the speed and stability that this combination has. Franco seems a little slower to me, but it is a great dependable Kernel. Trinity is also really nice. Carbon and ParanoidAndroid would be my two other favorite Roms, but due to CM being on a nightly update basis using CyanDelta it is quite nice to see new features daily rather than rolled out a lot at a time.

Comments:
I'm really starting to enjoy the Sense UI, first time ever using it. Camera is awesome on the stock rom, that's why I've been hesitant to switch to CM10.1, even though I am an avid fan of CM. Phone does get a bit hot in my current setup when playing games, killing the battery, even though I have it set to the cool thermal control in ElementalX. I do have wifi connection issues. I use the MoDaCo toolkit to set percent battery, reboot menu and a couple other small things. Auto brightness is also a tidbit bright for my liking, would rather use the slightly extra battery life. Love Swipe to lock, hate HTC to lock.
Post your config and comments, If you like, rebuild this thread because I built this on a whim and in 5 minutes.
