ZTE V987, turns off in stand by mode. - Blade General

Hello, I just received my zte v987, and I have a pb, the phone completely off instead of going to sleep (this happens quite often).
Received Rooted, rto2c.com rom, nothing installed, apart from the sd card.
If you know where it comes from. Thank you.

In the middle of rooting

I obtained root and rebooted so I could wipe and flash the Syndicate ROM. I had it on my SD Card (at least I sure thought I did). After wiping, I choose to flash a zip file from the SD card, and the ROM file isn't there. Now I can't boot, I can't apply a ROM. What's my best bet here?

take out the sd card and just put it in another phone or on the computer and to the rom you want on it and then put it back in your phone
Did you check all the likely places? Sometimes I dl it to my phone and forget what folder it went to.
Since you have cwm its no biggie. Just power down as ^^ and 3 finger to your recovery.

Thanks. That did get the zip to become available in recovery, but unfortunately, I got a message that the installation was aborted because it couldn't open syndicatefro110-standard-signed.zip.

I just got the phone today, so I'm not sure what "power down as ^^" means...
I would even suggest using the sd card adapter and copying the rom that way.

Thanks. I've rooted before (HTC Hero), but a few things have changed. I'm now downloading both versions of the ROM I want direct to the SD card (via adapter) and will try to recover using one of them.

Let everyone know how it goes and be generous with the thanks button. Always nice to see someone enjoy their device more.

Absolutely. And I'm glad to report that I'm back in business! Now it's time to research other ROMs and see which one I want to make my daily.

Problem flashing ice cold sandwich

hi, yesterday I tried to flash the ice cold sandwich rom so I entered in the recovery and I flashed update.zip (ice cold sandwich renamed)
install complete
then I reboot the phone but the screen is locked on the htc logo ..so I remove the battery and I can enter i the bootloader and in the recovery..so the question is: what I have to do now?
Do a full wipe.
Flash again. If problem persists, download the rom again, full wipe, flash.

Oh boy.
Tell me everything you did, when reporting a problem you need to say everything in detail. If you wiped the sd card, you will need to download the rom to pc, mount sd card, transfer, flash and so on. But seriously, read the guide in the seventh post, look at the links in the second post, your questions are covered there.
4ext or recovery. Read the guide!!!

I installe ice cold sandwich 8.6.1 it works fine..thank you for everything!
I've got another problem..now when i turn off the phone and i connect it to the charge it turns on and it enters in the recovery..why?
Are you sure you've done everything right? In recovery just choose reboot and it will be ok...
I think it depends on the settings of the phone what it will do when you plug it in powered off.
However, try using a proper charger or a cable with only the power pins working, this will negate the possibility that commands are being sent over the USB cable like adb or fastboot recovery, which tell your phone to boot into recovery (or something else).

I have exactly the same problem. I think it's a hardware problem. Some day I put my blade into a oven like people do with broken graphic cards.
I have problem with reboots too, but i install swedish snow 2.3.5 and i have 1-2 reboots in week

Sounds like a HW problem.

Phone restarts when calling someone or getting call.

Hello,
I don't know why this is happening to my phone. I recently got this phone. I rooted it but it is a stock flash. I only keep apps that I need and disable everything else. However, about 50% of the time, any calls that I get, as soon as I accept it, it's restarts. Also, Whenever I am making a call, the phone goes dark, never comes back on to cancel a call or something and restarts if no one picks up. If someone picks up, the screen goes back on.
What gives?

Yeah, but system errors can occur, like a file being corrupted. This is solved by reflashing the system partition.

You just take your ROM (Be sure it's the exact version you have installed), and flash it from recovery, without wiping anything.

Manual update without SD Card?

Do I really need a SD Card to update to (in rhis case) newest b09 for the A2017G?
And how about data loss?

Make sure you're on B10 or B11 first at least. It's best from SD but people do it from internal storage, but IMO, seeing how many suffer issues, SD is better. If it's updated after a factory reset it works best. No petsonal data to corrupt and maximum memory available.
I am on b02 7.1.1 and didn't get any ota afterwards.
In that case, should be able to download the latest B09 Nougat ROM and update it.
Dont need a SD card. Put the update.zip on the phone and go to update settings and search for updates.
No data loss at all. Did the update on a 2017G 5 days ago. Only thing: needed to wipe cache in recovery, because it wont boot after update and needed a second normal reboot for mobile data functionality.
