I have exactly the same problem. I think it's a hardware problem. Some day I put my blade into a oven like people do with broken graphic cards.

I have problem with reboots too, but i install swedish snow 2.3.5 and i have 1-2 reboots in week

Sounds like a HW problem.

Phone keeps hard resetting itself

I have a very annoying problem with my HD....after a few days of using a ROM, the phone suddenly decides to hard reset itself. Often it is when it is booting up, it will just about finish and then reset, and then go through the setup routine again like it has just been flashed.
Even worse, is that when it does this it formats my SD card, sometimes so it is not even partitioned any more I have to format it again, and obviously everything is gone. Even tried running some data recovery software but it can't recover my stuff.
This is seriously annoying me, anyone have any ideas?
Thanks

Does this mean that you've recently flashed a custom ROM? If so, it sounds like you need to try a different one and, if it keeps happening, flash the original ROM back on it and get it replaced as faulty.
Sounds a pain in the arse (not literally)!
Yes it has a custom ROM, but this happened once when it still had a stock ROM on, and has happened using several different custom ROMs.
I guess the phone may be faulty, I can't understand why it formats the card when it does it, not good!

Yeah - I wouldn't even put a card in that phone again. Afraid it does sound like a warranty replacement, assuing you've got a warranty.
Good luck mate!

[Q] Youtube dont have picture.. After CyanogenMod 7

I mod my tattoo to CyanogenMod 7.0.0-RC0.7002 Gingerbread. By using 1Click root/recovery
1)Everything is fine except now YouTube have only sound but no picture displaying.
2)Screen calibration will reset if I reboot.
Thanks
------
By the way.. Just for the record.. Rom Manager is very very buggy and also clockworkmod.. I had to repeat flashing 4 times to successfully install cyanogen7. It kept hang frozen and boot loop and the gapps-mdpi-20101228b-signed.zip works while some others do not.
1)
I'm using NB 12 and YT crashes for me but I think it is my fault.
2)
This ROM has problem with saving calibration data. Kalim wrote that NB 13 may fix it but he didn't know if it really helps. We have to test it.
So... you could try to use NB13 and you will see.
If you have problem with GoogleApps try this:
http://quick-upload.com/files/get/WWI4L9tXow/gapps-gb-20110120-signed.zip
wipe all, and format your sd card
youtube and calibration works fine for me

I can confirm this. I had the same problem on a click CM7 (which really bugged my girlfriend when she was checking youtube), clicking the HQ button fixed the problem. If it doesn't work at first, click the button trice (3 times).

Is my phone near death?

I've been flashing this thing left and right since November (when I got it, teehee). It's been through over 10 Odins and 100 custom rom/kernel flashes. Even so, Odin has never failed me, nor has the ROMs. But lately, my phone has been freezing non stop, I thought I flashed Syndicate Frozen wrong so I reflashed after wiping and it still froze. I changed the kernel prefixes to 1000/200 instead of 1000/100 to see if it's the 100 scale being stupid, but no dice. I decided to flash MidNIGHT rom to see if that would fix the problem and it worked fine, but now another problem arose. My recovery can't find internal or SD storage anymore...I fixed the problem before by booting the phone up, then going into settings > Privacy > factory reset (although that froze the phone and I had to manually pull the battery) but once I rebooted, all was good...but I Odined back to DI18, automatically updated to EC05, then ran the EXT 4 one click root and it was fine, then I flashed Syndicate 1.1 again, froze on me, restored my working version of midNIGHT rom, now it's giving me that internal storage problem again in recovery.
Is my phone about to die??? I took a picture of the recovery error with my brother's phone.
Those aren't big-deal errors - but I've seen them before when I flashed CWM3 and entered it early (I can't tell you exactly what I did). Just Odin again, flash CWM3, let it convert, and restore the backup. You should be fine. But no, your phone is fine.
And, see the SRF thread. The freeze fix has been posted many times.
Perhaps you should try something other than Syndicate for a while...maybe try an RFS based ROM. Sounds like all your problems start with flashing Syndicate.
Stock EC05 RFS with Genocide 0.5a kernel has been rock solid for me and unbelievable battery life.
I'll give it a try, thanks!
I get those same errors when I use reboot recovery to get to CWM3, but when i use the 3 finger method it works fine.
What method did you use to boot to cwm?

Quick boot is a hard reset. Cause of this it causes data corruption. Use the reboot option built into the rom.
If you wanna reboot into recovery after hitting the reboot 3 finger death grip. It will reboot into recovery

Not only that, but something just doesn't set right when you do it - I can't tell you exactly what, but that's definitely the cause right there.
Had both of these same issues as well on SFR 1.1 and also thought my phone was in trouble. Quickboot caused problems in CWM3 and data corruptions, so had to wipe and reflash. Then, like a number of others, I started having the freezing problems on SFR. Unfortunately, hadn't made it through all the pages of issues in the thread (and freezing issue wasn't yet noted in 2nd post when I downloaded the rom), so ended having to do several battery pulls, which caused more data corruption that required wiping and formatting sd card. Since the posted fix is to flash a kernel that is said to break the camcorder, which I use, I decided to flash back to midnight and all is working again.
I don't want this post to be seen as me knocking SFR. The team at ACS does great work and I'm sure the kernel works for most users. Once the freezing issue is resolved, I'll probably try SFR again, because I like their roms. Just wanted to let you know others are having the same issues.

I'd totally use that fix if my camera worked with it. :S
any kind of quick reset (quickboot or pulling battery with power on) is bad news on a non-journaled ROM.

Try the camera APK from EB13. The camera works, too - only the camcorder doesn't.

I thought everyone knew not to use quickboot that's why the roms have reboot in the power options but I'm scared to even use that and never have.

midNIGHT rom came with Quickboot.apk, so I assumed it's okay. I'll ditch it right away, though.
not meaning to hijack the thread butttt
is adb reboot acceptable to use on a non journal rom?

[Q] Phone reboots or restarts randomly?

i have the sprint version, bought it brand new and did not root or anything at all of that nature but if changing songs or on youtube the phone will reboot for no reason, happens up to six times a day, two being the least. Is there a way i can fix it myself?

Usually random reboots is a kernel issue. But since you have not rooted/flashed anything (I assume) than I would either take the phone back to where you bought it and try to get a re-flash or replacement. If taking it back in is not an option I would do a factory reset on the phone and run it full stock (try not to install any apps/themes) for a day or so and see if the reboots happen. You could also try flashing back stock image via Odin. If none of that works it might be hardware issue.
i have already reset more than 5 times and waited for a while only using apps already on the device, so where would i get the stock image?

my phone wont let me wipe the cache partition either, help?

Phone restarts when calling someone or getting call.

Hello,
I don't know why this is happening to my phone. I recently got this phone. I rooted it but it is a stock flash. I only keep apps that I need and disable everything else. However, about 50% of the time, any calls that I get, as soon as I accept it, it's restarts. Also, Whenever I am making a call, the phone goes dark, never comes back on to cancel a call or something and restarts if no one picks up. If someone picks up, the screen goes back on.
What gives?

Yeah, but system errors can occur, like a file being corrupted. This is solved by reflashing the system partition.

You just take your ROM (Be sure it's the exact version you have installed), and flash it from recovery, without wiping anything.
