Another Thread about MHL - Nexus 7 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi all, i own a Nexus 7 16GB Stock (no-Root).
While I solved the OTG problem using the application Nexus Media Importer together with an OTG adapter, i'm wondering if i can make a MHL connection, in a similar way, with a MicroUSB-HDMI adapter (and which you suggest) and an application.
I can't find any useful info on the web before posting here
Thanks in advance

[Q] TV Out?

Hey guys,
I searched the forums and couldn't easily find an answer to this: does the nexus 4 support tv out via it's micro usb port? In particular, I am interested in possibly connecting it to a tv via component cables.
Thanks!
Arthur
Yes, it has SlimPort HDMI capabilities. It's comparable to MHL, but uses a different cable.

[Q] Gopro Hero 2 via otg-usb

I would like to transfer files from my Gopro camera to my Nexus 7. I am using this cable: eForCity Micro USB OTG to USB 2.0 Adapter Compatible with Google Nexus 7. I have tried Stickmount and Nexus Media Importer. The camera is never recognized. A solution would be greatly appreciated.
Solved
It was a cable issue. I don't know how to describe what cable ended up working, except that It was the usb to mini, that was in the bathroom.

[Q] Question about Slimport

Hi,
i have ordered a Slimport adapter 2 days ago to connect my Nexus 4 to my tv.
Now i was wondering if it is possible to connect the adapter to a dockingstation with a micro usb slot.
Im not sure if this is working because of a different cable standard?
I couldn`t found any informations about that. Can somebody share some information if this could work?
Thanks a lot and sorry for the bad english
Sry i was not able to post links to the products because of spam protection.

[Q] Please confirm have this right

Hi All,
I have instlaled my nexus 7 in my car and would like to clarify a few bits.
OK been looking at two things - Firstly - using an external drive with the Nexus 7.
From what I have read and understand I need an OTG cable.
As I would like multiple usb devices connected such as mouse, keyboard webcam usb drive etc do I then connect the OTG cable to an external USB hub in order to connect the various devices? I guess my general question is - are you able to connect multiple USB devices to the Nexus 7 via the external HUB?
I'm presuming you need atleast a 2 amp charger and does plug directly into the External hub or into the Nexus itself?
I'm sure the answers exist somewhere on this site but there is a mountain of info and some of it contradictory.
Im unable to post links to cables I would need could anyone please do that so I know exactly what to purchase - I am in the uk.
Thanks for any help.

[Q] sm- t530nu MHL/screen mirroring

Hey Everyone,
I just recently purchased a SM-t530nu,apple magic trackpad, apple wireless keyboard and a AUVIO Universal MHL Adapter. My goal was to be able to attach it to my HDTV and sit back and browse with my trackpad and keyboard. The keyboard and trackpad work great, no problems there. The issue i'm having is the MHL adapter does not seem to work for me. It has a micro USB plus and a "s" adapter that says it is for a Samsung galaxy s 3. I have tried it with and without the adapter and no luck. From the information I have read this model does support MHL. Is it simply the AUVIO one I am using or have I misread and this infact DOESNT support the MHL feature. It is the tab 4 10.1" as I am sure most of you know from the model number. Has anyone successfully used a MHL adapter to connect this model with a TV? If so could you possible share a link/ model number of the one I will need to make it work? Im also curious about the screen mirroring feature i've noticed in my settings. What would be the CHEAPEST device available to use this feature? Thanks in advance for the help everyone!

USB HOST is not supported yet, so nothing besides the USB Charging/Data cable will work
[Edit] Whoops I thought it said SMT230NU, never mind but I don't know though
