[Q] Question about Slimport - Nexus 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
i have ordered a Slimport adapter 2 days ago to connect my Nexus 4 to my tv.
Now i was wondering if it is possible to connect the adapter to a dockingstation with a micro usb slot.
Im not sure if this is working because of a different cable standard?
I couldn`t found any informations about that. Can somebody share some information if this could work?
Thanks a lot and sorry for the bad english
Sry i was not able to post links to the products because of spam protection.
Thanks

original micro usb cable S/N needed (re-order for ebay purchase)

Hi guys,
I'm currently looking for an Iconia A500 on ebay.
Since the package I might buy has the micro usb cable missing and
I want to copy data & flash ROMs on the tablet
I'd most probably need an original usb cable from Acer
could someone please post their model number (of that micro usb cable) so that I could look on google for it ?
I've looked on the next but so far only got cables from HTC, Motorola and Samsung which most probably wouldn't work fully
Many thanks in advance !

[Q] Connecting the device to a TV

Hi everyone,
I've searched this forum and on Google but didn't really find the answers to my questions.
If I want to connect my Nexus to a TV (that has a USB port of course) what cables and adapters do I need to use?
By searching I found out I need this adapter:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009UZBLSG
But what other cable/s do I need?
Thank you.

Just a heads up, there are cheaper ones that work better...
You screen will flicker with the SlimPort... at least mine did.

Thanks, how are they called?
Can someone help? Do I need to buy a cable that has a male HDMI connector and a male USB connector so that it connects to my TV?
And along with it I need the slimport adapter (or any other adapter)?
Thanks.

Just a normal male to male hdmi cable, slimport goes to the hdmi input on your tv
It's easiest to just get a Miracast adapter since that's what the Nexus uses for Wireless Display. Just connect that little box to your TV via said HDMI cable and the nexus will connect to it directly, wirelessly.

That's no good for gaming though as there is a slight delay

Another Thread about MHL

Hi all, i own a Nexus 7 16GB Stock (no-Root).
While I solved the OTG problem using the application Nexus Media Importer together with an OTG adapter, i'm wondering if i can make a MHL connection, in a similar way, with a MicroUSB-HDMI adapter (and which you suggest) and an application.
I can't find any useful info on the web before posting here
Thanks in advance

[Q] Please confirm have this right

Hi All,
I have instlaled my nexus 7 in my car and would like to clarify a few bits.
OK been looking at two things - Firstly - using an external drive with the Nexus 7.
From what I have read and understand I need an OTG cable.
As I would like multiple usb devices connected such as mouse, keyboard webcam usb drive etc do I then connect the OTG cable to an external USB hub in order to connect the various devices? I guess my general question is - are you able to connect multiple USB devices to the Nexus 7 via the external HUB?
I'm presuming you need atleast a 2 amp charger and does plug directly into the External hub or into the Nexus itself?
I'm sure the answers exist somewhere on this site but there is a mountain of info and some of it contradictory.
Im unable to post links to cables I would need could anyone please do that so I know exactly what to purchase - I am in the uk.
Thanks for any help.
