Hmm, I don't speak German or French (can't read them either) but both Expansys links had what looked like some clarification making me think Expansys changed their website since you posted the links:

well some fresh news....
I have been to a store (in Belgium) and ask them if the shift was arrived .. and guess what ? The answer was not the same as usual .. here what he have said : "there are 3 orders and 1 for a client, 2 for the stock" ... WELL WELL WELL.... and for when ? ... "during january but we have no precise date" .... mmh.... I could order one but it's a little too early.
the offical distributor of htc germany tells me, in the begining of march. so I think the forecast of expansys (what is not the offical distri) is right... Some countries in Europe (not germany) starts a few days before with selling the shift.
so we waiting. I hope we can enable phone capatibilities and GPS features.

Pre-Prod model of shift is very unstable and not well built. Booting takes ages...

booting takes 2-3 minutes I have read on a nice review... but the issue is resuming .. resuming takes about 5 minutes or even more ... I'm not completely sure about the exact time of both .. but if I remember well it was something like that.
The review was written by Hugo Ortega from GottaBeMobile.com and he has said something like "booting time is good but resuming time is horrible".
Some testers have had issue with the SnapVue .. but everything was a year ago .. so be sure that HTC has fixed everything, the Shift @ CES2008 was excessively well working .. so you don't need to worry too much

Hi, I had bid on a HTC Shift on eBay but it has only 20G HDD instead of 40G/60G. Is it possible since all website said it has 40G or 60G HDD. Did they change the spec? OR the guy on eBay is scamming people.

II would check the Build number you should be able to determine the equivelent ROM version.
Just out of interest, where are you getting this from and how much was it?
As you may know, there are a lot of chinese cloned phones out there, and some are more 'compatible' than others
There is a possibility that an experienced ROM 'cook' might be able to tweak the contents to include some stuff found in genuine devices if this is infact a clone.
For now, it's probably best to just get to know the device as it is, then if you like it, try and find a genuine HTC Touch HD at a reasonable price that will be able to be upgraded.
Then again it may be a legit phone!

Now that I think about it, unfortunately, the clone makers tend to 'spoof' the OS builds anyway, so you may not be able to find out anything useful. Whichever it is, I'm afraid it is unlikely that you will be able to upgrade it if its a clone.
i got an offer 540$ , brand new from HK , there is a guy selling it in Israel .
I am very confused now because I don't know what to do , the second offer that i've got is for 680$ in the USA (i am traveling there next week).
did someone had bad expirance with clone devices ?
I also sent a Question to HTC support to get details how to identify cloned devices .

i am going to his store , i will open the box , insert my sim card , make a call , check the rom version (wwe) and that's all .
it will be the best for me to check any other hint for clone device ....

I don't know, mate. I would be able to tell the difference between a cheap chinese clone and the real thing straight away. You'll know when you see it.
maybe it will be a good idea to take my friend with me with the real hd !

My Magic has stucked at "HTC MAGIC" logo ,no access to fastboot or whatever. I live in cyprus. I've sent it to different people that where "experts" to bring it back to "life" but nothing. Someone told me that he tried jtag method but nothing happened too. He told me that propably there is something wrong with mainboard and it has to be changed. Is that possible? Or they are fooling me around? Anw, as i said before i live in cyprus so i don't know if there is someone who can make this phone work again. Can you suggest someone abroad? To be more specific someone in London (London centre). I have friends there they wouldnt bother doing that small favour to me.

I had same problem and tried one London repairer(others were too expensive unfortunately) who gave it back to me as not repairable - totally wasting my time because I don't think they even had a riff box. I then sent it off to Fonefun and they have restored it, but due to the imcompetence of local post I'm still waiting to get it back after it being sent back last Thurday!!
I can report back properly once its in my hands, but I do think they are worth a look at (just google fonefun). You can chat to them online which could be useful as you're not in the UK.
update: got phone back and it works. Royal mail are funny though, not.

They certainly know what they are doing, however I don't think cleaniness is exactly one of their top priorities, mind you my shiny brick did become a dirty working magic so I'm happy.

Excellent news - glad it worked out ok for you! I found communication to be one of Fonefun's strongpoints, as for postage, unfortunately for both of us that one is out of their control!

I buyed an HTC HD2 T8585 (chinese version) and I contact the HTC support and they said that my IMEI and Serial Number is from an HTC Incredible S -.-"
But... in the HTC HD2 software (inside of the phone), I go to "Device Information" and appears another Serial Number, that they confirmed that is HTC HD2, but the IMEI is the same...
The thing is...
Can I have the HTC Sense in this mobile? If no, Can someone help me (step by step) to introduce the WM7 and Android in this?
I have the windows mobile 6.5 and the software is "DUMA.10X.W10.20.P29"...

DUMA.10X.W10.20.P29 ! I believe this is the firmware used in HTC iPhone chinese copy/clones & is then skinned to look like the devices normal OS.
If I am correct that would explain why your iMEI/serial# are wrong.
If it is the Chinese copy then you will not be able to flash original HD2 ROM to it or use the tools for Android or W7 !
is it dual sim ? if so 100% China junk I am afraid ...
oh gosh...no wp7,android,dual booting,kicking other phones' asses for u then.i would suggest that you buy a used HD2 if you are convinced that yours is fake. But i think it is since theres no way DUMA.10x.W10.20.P29 will appear on the real HD2's bootloader. Does your phone look like this (http://forum.china-iphone.ru/viewtopic.php?f=22&t=5495&start=340)?...im not sure how the law is back there,but if you know who you bought it from and you seriously didnt know its fake, you should report it to the officials and to HTC.

Well, u should seriously report this to the authorities if you know whom you bought it from.They wont be getting a new phone for you,but at least you could charge them and ask for compensation. But still, you should have known better than to buy it from them Chinese before thourougly checking. I mean im not against them in any way. Most of them are good guys, but some just fake everything from a bloody pen to babies these days.

It is not just software, the hardware is no match for a genuine HD2 & has no hopes of running real Windows Mobile ROMs, if you bought it from a shop you may consider returning & kicking up a huge fuss or if via online credit card or PayPal you may be able to get refunded !
Best thing you can do is learn from this & do more research on products prior to purchasing, especially for any to good to be true deals from products from China.

You are missing the point, your phone is totally different to ours, different hardware, different software,probably different settings/options, so the chances of us being able to troubleshoot your mms problems are slim, unless you wanna upload a dozen or so screenshots of the various settings menus,, and explain in a lot more detail what you already tried, the facts around the problem(is there an mms data connection configured, can you browse the net, and on and on)
