Have recently purchased nexus 10 but having trouble signing into my apps..... Have no problem on my laptop and s4 but every time I try to log in it says incorrect username or password... It's driving me nuts.... I've tried all different browsers and some apps work with some browsers and some don't and vice versa. My s4 is rooted but nexus isn't... Could this be the issue or is there something going on behind the scenes on my nexus

My Nexus 10 was recently upgraded to 4.3, but perhaps coincidental. Login to eBay via Chrome always fails when using using mobile view of the website with incorrect username or password. Select "request desktop" for the same website and accepts login, no problems.
Any ideas?
Not sure, mines the same I have certain apps that run in certain browsers and vice versa but I have one site that no matter what I try, different browsers, mobile or desktop view it still says incorrect password... I'm at a loss as to what it is, don't know whether there is an underlying issue with android???

I somehow don't feel the need to see an extra pane showing me labels and all. On top of that I think it's killing the precious space. I just like the plain jane look with just the email list or the email details.
Is there a way to turn off the panels ? I would want to get the same look as what I had in my NOTE.
Can't believe that no one replied here.

Its because of the phablet UI, the app is the same on both devices so sideloading won't do a thing

Sideloading will not work. The version on my Nook is not compatible with the Nexus. Also... on the Nexus Gmail is a system app.

Flash Paranoidandroid. You can change whether it shows in phone mode or tablet mode.
For some reason the new Facebook app is giving me a Network Error message, even though the connection is fine. I have a S3, but it doesn't seem to be affected.
Here is a post I found about the issue:

I have had the same thing happen to me on my N4 and N7!! However, when I was getting the network error, I was using a verizon mifi hotspot. I tried uninstalling FB then re installed it, but it kept happening. However, when I took it home and was on tmobile's hspa+ network, I didn't really have any issue.

I am also having this issue. FWIW: Nexus 7 8GB

I'm on the GS2 and i'm having the same problem as well. Each new updates hasn't done a thing to fix this issue...
I get it on my phone and my Nexus, I think it is more of a problem with the app

i have the same problem. the new facebook app (version 2.0) always says network error. galaxy note, ICS4
In the gs2 forums, we decided it was caused by ad blockers. Is everyone here using one? It seems like the problem is fixed for me though.

Yeah I use adaway maybe that is it, I would rather go with out the face book app then go without a adaway
Sign up to Dropbox using my signature and we both get an extra 500megs free http://db.tt/YZjXmjTT

Just go to settings in AdWay > Your List > and uncheck graph.facebook.com
What worked for me was to log out of Facebook book, reboot, log in to Facebook. I haven't had a problem since with it.

Me too.
I had the same problem on my Defy & my S3. So I downloaded a app called FriendCaster. Works very well. I saw some other 3rd party apps too. Might help.
I have adobe 11.1 installed and used dolphin, boat, ocean, and chrome browsers. But whatever I do I can't get live.lifechurch.TV to load like it does on my laptop. I can get it to show the video but no chat box (which shows up during one of the showing times on the video). I've searched the forums and no one else visits this site on their N10. I'm new here so take it easy haha. Thanks for any help.

Make sure you have your browser set to desktop and not mobile.
Also chrome isn't compatible with flash so that's out, for boat and dolphin it's under settings and user agent, for ocean I think you can just request desktop site in the menu.

Do you have an AD blocking app? Try reversing the setting and uninstall the app. This should fix it
How does one change it? I looked with build prop but no luck.

Talking bout the Android Device ID or something different? (Titanium Backup usually lets you generate a new one, or restore one from a previous backup).

When I get work emails from co workers it says the type of phone they are using. When they get one from me it says android and some numbers. It's the mobile device ID

Where exactly does it say this, maybe you're thinking of email signatures or such, and it would depend on the type of email client. Normally your actual android device ID isn't just arbitrarily transmitted in an email.

It's not a signature and it's not the android device ID, they don't match. My work email pulls it off the phone. It even shows it when I set up the email. I did some research and that's how I found out it's called a mobile device ID.

So you're using an app specific for work then I'm guessing. If you got access to the original rom where the ID is correct, you can install titanium backup from the play store there. Then backup the settings (under preference there's a way to save the titanium backup settings to the SD Card/media space), then restore new rom, install titanium backup again, point it to the sdcard/external for it's backup, and you may be prompted with a prompt that your android ID differs from the other, and given the opportunity to restore it from backup (however bear in midn you may have to reinstall some applications that are dependent on your new ID).
There may be an easier way, but it's just weird that you have a work email that would work based off that.
It's not a host name I just tried that too.

That looks very much like a setting you jsut set in the app/email client. Just like the iPhone has that, it's in the settings. What email client are you using, should be just like the XDA/Tapatalk app where you can modify the manual signature.

Oh just the standard ol email app. Double check the settings of that app , On the message list -> menu -> settings -> Tap account -> Signature
(by default nothing shows in the signature area when I send myself a test email thru my yahoo account, nor nothing in the mail headers to designate operating system)
Unless of course you're saying that it's being performed serverside.
How about in developers options their is one called device hostname and it can be edited, by default my devices all say Android-some random numbers and letters.

The mobile device id is different in the Stock email app vs the touchwiz email app. Anyone know how to change the stock mobile device id?
I consistently notice nasty lag when typing into google search, as search does auto-search and auto-complete, and as the google now cards come up. It is really frustrating because, among other things, my key presses are not being registered. I did not have this lag problem on my Nexus 5.
Has anyone noticed this and figured out a fix?
I think it depends on your internet connection as auto complete comes from google servers
