Flash the custom recovery and you can install the update bro. Or flash the OTA with TWRP recovery and keep root, install the superuser app from Play after the flash.

Don`t think CWM supports OTA flashing, you need TWRP or stock recovery bro.

Yup, shouldn`t be a problem. Install the superSU from Play afterwards if you don`t see it.

I have a much simpler and hassle free root method. Is anyone willing to test?
It doesn't involve flashing kernels or roms via odin or dumping images via adb.
So anyone willing to test?

Does it work?! Does it increase flash counter? Does it modify device status? Does it work on 4.1.1 or only 4.1.2? Uhmm.... so many questions
might try this...lose my root and cwm recovery after updating firmware....
I don't think it increase your binary count.
Sent from my GT-I8190 using xda premium
Question
Anybody tried?
BTW how to check the binary counter state? What is the original value of the counter? How can I check whether it is changed?
All right ....it worked I will give a full step by step how to root with pic and details today

You have to flash this kernel in the recovery to get JSS which will work with PA: http://goo.im/devs/paranoidandroid/roms/mako/pa_mako-Kernel-4.3_JSS15J_GOOGLESTOCK.zip

I just pressed at reboot and install because I thought maybe some new updates will be installed, after that it reboot to the the recovery mode(I am using twrp) and I didn't know what to do so I just rebooted to the system and every few days it come in the notification and ask me again.
I want to know if there was way to install those update and I didn't know it or this is bug.
Thanks.

This is a link to a flashable zip in this post.
you'll have to reflash the supersu binary again after this one as it'll break root. The post says to unroot before you run the update, but i was able to apply the update without unrooting and had to reflash supersu 1.51 after it to regain root access.
Same issue here!!
