I'd love for some help,
Thanks.

use a touchwiz rom - problem solved though it doesn't seem all that bad - considering it hasn't fully drained and you've also had a reboot of some sort which has screwed up the battery stats (random line/drop).

In the latest CM nightly, I have been able to get some really impressive results with almost 2 hours of screen-on time, games, wifi, calls, SMS, etc. i have more than 13 hours and I am right now at 75% charge. I found that, since I don't use NFC, simply disabling it, then deleting it (freezing it or just turning it off doesn't work) I was able to squeeze out even more juice.
At this rate, I'm on track for two days on a single charge, which is something I never thought I'd see on CM.
Your signal stinks. Try backing off the 4g lte until you really need the extra data speed. When the phone it idle and kn voice calls you don't need 4g. So keep it on 3g. You will have a better signal and that will greatly improve your battery life.

I'm using PA 3.99 currently and I really love it, I don't think it's the ROM causing bad battery life though.

What's the best network mode to use if I'm not using 4g then?

Gsm/Wcdma. Had same issue on my HTC one. Switched off LTE option and all good since then.

I seem to have a problem when I select GSM/WCDMA and some of the others network types.

I don't have any "weird" application running in the background, this happened with the original carrier ROM (telcel, México) and with a "debranded" canadian ROM.
The battery life just runs away, I've charged my phone fully and then I unplug it, leave it sitting there without touching it like an hour (just wifi enabled, no celular data at all) and I'm getting this.

Definitely there's something wrong on mine... I'll install that and I'll let it "sleep" all night and see the results.
Thanks a lot. I'll come here again with my results.
Let BBS run at least 48hrs with no reboots to give you a full evaluation. That's what I do and I find the answer in couple of days.
Check out this thread, it may help with your issue. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2278777

So, I don't understand the application, I don't even know if I need to leave it open or what :/
I've solved it, it was the 4G antenna draining my battery life.
Do you have bad reception? Usually that causes severe battery drain. I'm glad you found what the issue is.

ive been messing around running the "power saving mode" for the past 3 days. its supposed to underclock tbe processor, I can confirm it does not and my battery life is basically identical to "non-power saving mode". it still runs to 1890mhz and I get the same 4-4.5hrs kn screen time on a full charge. is this a big crock of BS or is it my phone? anhone else try this and have the same issues? thanks in advance
Same for me. Im trying out BatteryGuru now.

well I figured it was going to cut down the mhz like it says, but thats not the case. ill just root my phone when I get home from vacation and mess with it a little more..probably just mess with root at first to underclock&undervolt then remove the bloatware I have disabled, plus a few tbat you cant disable. all before I install any custom roms.
I've had it on since I got the phone Monday and I'm at 8 and a half battery life

All the battery saver apps are crap. Use better battery stats and learn about wake locks and how they effect your battery life. That's the only way you'll get better battery life. There is an excellent write up in the i727 forum

I dont have battery life problem, was just seeing if I can get more out of it. I installed better battery stats last night and it takes a few days for tbe readings to be accurate, so it claims. ill see if I can find that thread in the i727 section. thanks

hello im new to android coming over from wp8 (nokia 920) which i LOVE to death but ive been through 6 920s since launch for a few different reason. Att allowed me to get the g2 for $50 bucks and i get to keep this 920. ive read alot obout the g2s battery and i just wanted to know what i need to disable besides the usual nfc gps stuff to make my battery last longer. I had the screen on for no more than 10 minutes and my batter dropped from 95 to 87 and all i did was look around in settings and take 2 pics with no flash the screen brightness is set to 60 auto.
You have to allow it to go through about 4 charge cycles to calibrate and then your battery life will be insane.

Don't install anything or do anything. Give it a few days (after the new honeymoon phase) of normal use...you'll get it going the entire day. That drop is fine, don't worry about it.

Don't turn on the screen.... Ever... and your battery life will be amazing!
Apps can be your best friend and worst enemy. Make sure that you don't have rogue apps eatting your batter and/or apps that have a lot of sleep wake issues and don't let your phone go into deep sleep. Use battery stats apps and sleep wake apps to track down those unwanted apps

Don't use it?
But seriously. If you plan to not to use that ****ton of features LG included, you can simply root it, install Titanium Backup, and freeze those processes.
Also disabling WiFi hotspots and GPS is said to be the greatest battery saver.
I have CID off, GPS and use 2x battery app.

I assumed it was caller ID, but I can't see how that would save battery life, beside maybe freezing the bloatware app that's on the Verizon version (not sure if it's on the other versions).
I have the T-Mobile version and I've noticed some quirks and was hoping for some answers.
First Google Keyboard, why does it sound like a typewriter instead of the traditional ticking noises heard on the Galaxy S4?
Next is there a way to make WiFi Calling sound better? When I use cellular service the call quality sounds decent but during WiFi it sounds bad.
When I download something why doesn't it show up in downloads? I downloaded a new .apk from tapatalk to help them diagnose a problem with a forum. Went to my download app via app drawer and its not there. Had to go to the download folder via file manager to find it.
How do I access or turn off my clipboard. I use Dashlane and find this to be a huge security flaw. It stores way too many passwords or things.
Cyanogenmod support is this possible?

I also have t mobile variant of this phone, and I have not noticed the wifi issue you have explained. In fact it sounds a lot better for me, it might be your wifi itself, slow speeds = lower quality. Only thing I see fit is too get a faster wifi, or better signal. As for cm support its possible we are waiting for unlocked boot loader.
Sent from my LG-D801 using xda app-developers app
Tapatalk download in ANY phone won't show up because of the way it downloads. Dunno about clipboard. And..the phone hasn't been out for two weeks. Wait for more roms.

How much speed is needed for good WiFi calling? Perhaps it is my phone specifically. Typically I get around 50Mbps but for some reason I can't get past 35Mbps. Not sure what's going on.

Well I just got a replacement phone and it sounds the same. The guy at T-Mobile says he hears it too but doesn't think its bad. He thinks its just the way its designed. He went ahead and gave me a replacement just to "appease" the customer I'm sure but at the end of the day it sounds the same.

I have had my stock VZW G2 for a couple weeks now and my battery life has been pretty abysmal in relation to a lot of you.
When checking battery stats it shows Chrome to be using on average about 25% of my battery which seems a bit nuts.

Also I mostly charge using the LG Qi charger and wonder if that could be causing any issue as well.
Anyone have any thoughts on solutions or are any of you experiencing similar issues?

I had the same issue with the stock VZW G2 and took the easy way out and started using dolphin. Being rooted now I am just using the stock G2 browser which seems to work fine for the most part. I would be curious if anyone has any clues as to why chrome was causing such a drain. I also only had 1-2 tabs open 99% of the time.

That's weird, I run chrome as my only browser and have extremely good battery... Some of the flukes with the g2 are weird!
Chrome uses Google location a lot. Could be polling gps too often. Have you tried turning off Google location??
