I have the T-Mobile version and I've noticed some quirks and was hoping for some answers.
First Google Keyboard, why does it sound like a typewriter instead of the traditional ticking noises heard on the Galaxy S4?
Next is there a way to make WiFi Calling sound better? When I use cellular service the call quality sounds decent but during WiFi it sounds bad.
When I download something why doesn't it show up in downloads? I downloaded a new .apk from tapatalk to help them diagnose a problem with a forum. Went to my download app via app drawer and its not there. Had to go to the download folder via file manager to find it.
How do I access or turn off my clipboard. I use Dashlane and find this to be a huge security flaw. It stores way too many passwords or things.
Cyanogenmod support is this possible?

I also have t mobile variant of this phone, and I have not noticed the wifi issue you have explained. In fact it sounds a lot better for me, it might be your wifi itself, slow speeds = lower quality. Only thing I see fit is too get a faster wifi, or better signal. As for cm support its possible we are waiting for unlocked boot loader.

Tapatalk download in ANY phone won't show up because of the way it downloads. Dunno about clipboard. And..the phone hasn't been out for two weeks. Wait for more roms.

How much speed is needed for good WiFi calling? Perhaps it is my phone specifically. Typically I get around 50Mbps but for some reason I can't get past 35Mbps. Not sure what's going on.

Well I just got a replacement phone and it sounds the same. The guy at T-Mobile says he hears it too but doesn't think its bad. He thinks its just the way its designed. He went ahead and gave me a replacement just to "appease" the customer I'm sure but at the end of the day it sounds the same.

Don't feel bad. Mine isn't always much better. I am normally on wifi when I need to do web surfing or anything major. I see you are in Dallas which I guess I could understand the speeds because of major usage. I live in a small city and still get somewhat pathetic times, usually just a little bit faster than dialup.

Ouch. I have WiFi too, but it's also an unreliable POS because it drops out every ten minutes. I'm thinking of switching, but the only other carrier that has a decent signal is Verizon, but 5GBs of data is a killer. I often pass 6GBs on my EVO.

Is the wifi a hotspot problem or a phone problem? If it is a hotspot problem then I would flash an updated firmware for it. I had a linksys with that problem and the firmware fixed it. You could also try changing the wireless channel in the routers configuration.
It's a Sprint problem.

Hey people, I have a question if I may...
I have a p7500 for my mum and she has a sim card she uses. Now with the recent voice call patch now functional, I want her to use this as her main phone, however, using a tablet as a phone out and about can be quite inconvenient.
Here lies the question. I am after a device, preferably bluetooth, which can be used as a functioning handset.
I. E. It has a mic and a speaker, a touch screen to dial numbers and text, basically all the phone features, but without the phone... This will allow my mum to use the smaller phone type device to make calls and texts while out and use the tablet as normal when in the house
Now some of you may be thinking that this device cannot exist! But there is something similar out there, the Samsung Yepp yp-p2
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Samsung_YEPP#YP-P2
The only drawback this has is its lack of an internal speaker thus requiring the use of headphones, which isn't ideal...
Your thoughts?

And what does your mum want?
What you're suggesting seems like a whole lot of aggro for a gaint step backwards. Buy her a cheap phone, it'll be far easier.
If you want to persist maybe you could connect a hands free car kit to her shopping trolley. Battery might be a bit heavy though

HTH
Thanks for this pointless reply
Ideally my mum would like 2 devices which share the same number. Now it's not possible to clone the sim, I am looking at alternatives
I already have bought her a cheap phone, but this means she cannot use the sim in the tablet, which means she cannot use 3g which means she cannot call or text from the tablet. She gets 3gb worth of data a month and this is going to waste at the moment.
In terms of your opinion and attempted humor, thanks, its funny. :-[
In terms of going a step backwards, connecting a tab to a handset? Really? In the future if you have no value to add, please refrain from posting

use a touchwiz rom - problem solved though it doesn't seem all that bad - considering it hasn't fully drained and you've also had a reboot of some sort which has screwed up the battery stats (random line/drop).

In the latest CM nightly, I have been able to get some really impressive results with almost 2 hours of screen-on time, games, wifi, calls, SMS, etc. i have more than 13 hours and I am right now at 75% charge. I found that, since I don't use NFC, simply disabling it, then deleting it (freezing it or just turning it off doesn't work) I was able to squeeze out even more juice.
At this rate, I'm on track for two days on a single charge, which is something I never thought I'd see on CM.
Your signal stinks. Try backing off the 4g lte until you really need the extra data speed. When the phone it idle and kn voice calls you don't need 4g. So keep it on 3g. You will have a better signal and that will greatly improve your battery life.

I'm using PA 3.99 currently and I really love it, I don't think it's the ROM causing bad battery life though.

Download the Geeksquad app. I watched him run the test in front of me.
It showed a horizontal dead spot one the upper portion of my screen.
I hate to say this guys, but the employees were aware of the problem and told me that they believe it is a hardware problem.
Don't shoot the messenger - It's what I was told.
They took it back outside of the 15 day return window and issued me a full store credit.
I'll wait and see how people like the new LG G Pad.
Good luck!!
Is this the app being referenced?

Thanks for the apk. I just ran the test and all it let's me do is test 5 areas of the screen and multi touch in top third. Am I missing something because I don't see a full screen test.
Same here.

Sorry guys, been at work.
Turn the tablet horizontal and try to drag the screen all the way to the right upwards.....Mine did nothing...
The manager even came and checked it out.....then gave me the nod - YES!!!
I have just completed the touch screen fix and it worked! I also could not complete the Greek squad test holding it horizontally. I had ghost touches, dragging issues and now my touch screen works flawlessly.

Maybe it is software..... I have no idea, just the opinion of Best Buy employees.
I hope they fix it, I'll still never buy anything from Google or ASUS - terrible service.
They ran from the problem.
If you don't have any daily issues I recommend to not try this app, I don't have any issues overall with my n7 and don't want them either.
Don't look for the issues

It goes like this 'duun duun dundun dun dunnnnn dunn dun...' It's driving me mad. Someone must have had experienced this. So far... I played with xposed framework, a couple live wall paper apps most of which I uninstalled... A lot of modules... I cannot for the life of me imagine what is causing this looping music. It's this very young vibrant in touch with nature theme this music. Nonetheless, the fact i have no clue it's origin I'm kinda whiggin out here because I'm not going to turn the phone off until I figure out what it is. So.... anyone know or know of an app that can explain running processes or something? Or something built into android? Thanks. I'll be waiting with this maddening briskly moving nature beat...

Email app
Mine does the same thing, it is from the built in email app, if you get a new email it has a different sound, but each following email that comes in has a short ring type chime and if you get 5 emails in a row it will chime that many times, so if your getting a lot of junk mail/spam you'll get a lot of jingles..
That's what my issue is anyway, yours may be different, it sounded like a similar issue so i thought i'd share.
