I am having pretty significant wake locks on my device, I have had it on every ROM/ kernel combo I have tried recently. I have had wake locks on 4.2.2 and 4.3. I can't quite recall when the wake locks started, possibly after I upgraded to 4.3 for the first time but I am not sure. Some screenshots will be attached. I'm not sure if it helps or matters but i have TWRP 2.5. If anyone could give me some advice or a solution that would be greatly appreciated!

Hey so I've been running aokp for a few days now, and suddenly I noticed that the sound isn't working, not for notifications, not for music, videos, anything. Not even when the headset is plugged in. So I flashed my stock Rom backup and it still isn't working, any ideas?? Thanks!

Ok this is weird, sound just started working on my stock Rom. Haven't tried aokp yet, the restore backup of stock Rom took 30 minutes and I need to sleep soon so I don't want to risk hanging to stay awake for it, it normally takes 3 minutes to restore backups though, idk what's wrong

Did you happen to flash that build posted by the random user?

No, I searched on the internet for the newest version of aokp and used that one

I'm having a pretty same problem here, the only difference is that I'm running Paranoid Android on my Nexus 4. Do you find any solution yet?
Hi,
First time post, I've had a search through the forums but haven't been able to find anything related, hopefully someone knows how to help though.
I turned on my Nexus 4 the other day and the date setting has somehow changed. As you can see in the screenshots, the last 2 numbers are the date and the first number seemingly just goes up by 1 each day. I've tried to change the date settings several times but nothing has changed. Is anyone else having the same problem?
My Lightflow app also stopped working at the same time, it won't open despite uninstalling and reinstalling. I would imagine these are unrelated but you never know.
Thanks in advance for any responses!

More information would be helpful. Are you rooted, have custom ROMs, custom kernel?

Ah, sorry. Nope, not rooted or anything like that. Just on standard Android 4.2.2

Looks like a software bug. Try flashing the stock images again and it should fix this problem. Try using carbon to do a backup first if you want to keep data.

I have the exact same issue - Stock JB 4.2.2 but am rooted. Happened suddenly last week - can't figure out how to revert this.
Any luck so far?
More often than not, I notice when I attempt to unlock my nexus 7 (inputting the correct lock pattern) it will freeze on the inputted pattern and become not responsive. I have to hold down the power button until it reboots. Can anyone help me out with this? I am running the newest nexus 7 paranoid android along with the motley kernel.

Paranoid Android can be a bit slow at times, but that seems a bit unnatural. I would do a wipe and reinstall. See if that fixes the problem.
I actually flashed back to the March 23 build. Hasn't done it since thank god.
My nexus 4 has had some curious behaviour over the past few days. Sometimes I take it out of my pocket and the screen is on, and its in an app, or my pie mode has been activated. I noticed that 9/10 times my Bluetooth turns on
. this isn't a big issue but it drains my battery. Help is appreciated. (I'm running PA atm)

I did, but disabling it is not making a difference.
EDIT: its fine now, that was the issue. Thanks
You probably get these all the time so apologies.
I've done the google and the msm_hsic_host is referenced for when you connect the phone via usb.
But the problem I have is it's there all the time, regardless of using a computer USB cable or using a wall charger.
These appear far too often, reboots help but there seems to be something wrong and I cannot figure it out.
Any and all help / advice welcome becuase it's really fustrating.
Cheers
What OS are you running? Could it be an app you installed? Have you tried flashing to stock to see what happens?
On stock 4.2.2
Will have to see on the app front.. Might do a purge and see if it helps.

Good luck. Please report back with your findings.
I was on stock 4.4.2 and got pretty good battery life.
Lol OP, I think what you're using is 4.4.2 not 4.2.2. It's time to get it right now, don't you think?
Btw, are you using stock kernel or custom? Either way try flashing stock kernel back and format dalvik and cache. If you're using custom kernel, same..flash stock kernel back then flash your kernel.
Sigh you are right. 4.4.2 of course.
Everything is stock on my nexus4, haven't even rooted it.
Which is why this behaviour is so annoying, might understand if I'd have played around with roms etc.
I've deleted loads of apps, may remove some more today if it doesn't let out. Will then think about going for a wipe down.
Cheers for the suggestions.

Maybe this will help you: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1999368
From what i've read, this wakelock is not about the USB cable per se. The 3g modem is connected to the phone as an external USB device, which is controlled by the msm_hsic_host.
In few words, every time your phone needs something from the 3g modem, msm_hsic_host is triggered.
Im on 4.4.2 stock rooted and every time I'm in a place with low signal this wake lock drains a good amount of my battery.
Maybe you should try different kernels to see if that helps.

Using other on better battery stats shows the phone is never in deep sleep.
Now just to find out why.

You need to show us the info from Partial Wakelocks, not Kernel.
Unleashed by my Nexus 4
Thanks yeah I know that would be more helpful so apologies that I haven't.
Wanted to if possible avoid rooting the phone but I think I'll do that this evening to see what's going on.
