Help! bootloop after Unrooting. - Nexus 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I think I did something silly!
From the UK. I rooted my phone a while back after my friend told me all about it. I used the Nexus Toolkit V2.0.0
I am selling the phone and needed to go back to stock. So I flashed stock android 4.2.2. back successfully.
Then I saw this option saying Unroot on the toolkit (Option 4 the Option 5 (Unroot, uninstall Busybox + CMN recovery)), So I did that without thinking and now when I boot the phone it gets stuck on the Nexus X loading screen. When I turn it off it just starts up again and goes back into the Nexus X loading screen.
What do I do? Thanks!

ask the toolkit developer.
the right way to do it(unroot and go back to stock) is to not use a toolkit, but to flash the factory via fastboot.

Grouper bricked after latest 4.3 OTA, no recovery

Heya...
On my 16GB Grouper I had installed the stock rooted 4.3 rom. Yesterday a system OTA update message appeared on my screen - 1.7 MB. I let it download and install over night and just went to bed. Came back in the morning to a boot loop where the device got stuck with the four colorful thingies animation. I can access the bootloader, but the recovery seems to be broken. Can't remember if I had anything other than the stock one... Anyways, now I'm strugling to get this thing going again. I am a zero at ADB but willing to learn whatever is necessary to get me started with a working recovery at least. No tool root box will do anything really for me...
Thanks for your help in advance
Hey!
Had a problem just like yours. If your running windows then install this program its called nexus tool kit. I'm a newbie here but if you Google 'nexus toolkit wug fresh' you can find it
All you need to do is plug your device in and open the program, then select flash OTA with the boot loop option and then follow the on screen instructions
That should put you back to normal with a fresh start meaning all you data will be lost. You can also root from there to.

Yeah. It would be dumb to actually learn what you are doing to your device. You should totally use a toolkit.

Honestly, I'm just showing the user one way, I anticipated him of being a newbie. For the record, it shows you all the process's happening.

Thank you guys. You might not believe it, but I'm not a newb to Android or flashing. It's just that I've always been playing around with Samsung devices and there you'd normaly turn to Odin in case something went wrong. Here it's different.
Anyways, with this comprehensive guide I've been able to reflash a recovery image and my old rom. Unfortunately losing all of my data in the process, but there was no way to save it.

In case this happens to anybody else.

[Q] I think I softbricked my Nexus 7 :'(

I rooted my Nexus 7 a few months back and I was still using stock android 4.2.2. Today I decided I wanted to start using 4.3 but when I tried to update it gave me an error. I then proceeded to do a factory reset on my tablet hoping that would help, it didn't now it wouldn't let me click the buttons or connect to any Google services. I then downloaded the Nexus Root Toolkit and clicked the Flash Stock + Unroot button. I proceeded with all the steps but when my computer said it was finished my tablet didn't restart, I tried to turn it on but it keeps saying "Booting Failed" I need help please!!! Thank you for any help.

I finally got it to go into the bootloader. It took 17 tries over a few hours since I had other things to do. It was really weird. I actually tried using the Nexus Root toolkit and it said if you cannot get into the bootloader that you have to use ODIN and I have no idea what that is. Anyway I got it working. Thanks!

Well, you did give it permission one time when you weren't stressed. Now you've flashed stock and UN rooted. Next, re-enable adb then root and flash custom recovery in the same process using wugs.

I think everything is going well. but, Why my buttons and notification areas are not transparent?
I've read it's not available for the updates. You can get the Nova launcher beta which does give transparent. http://novalauncher.com/beta/

Apply this without step 2 3 and 10:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2010312
Then reinstall TWRP and SuperSU.
I always managed this way.

Thanks! I was in a boot loop and this solved it. Everything seems to be working fine. Are there any negative effects from not having flashed the userdata image? It doesn't update or change anything needed for 4.4?

This solution always worked fine to me without sideeffect (except yesterday when trying to downgrade...). If you are updated and your apps are working fine and storage is there, then I guess you are setup well!

Use the toolkit to return to factory stock. There should be an option to return to stock. Good luck

Try this toolkit. Download link is in the bottom.
http://www.wugfresh.com/nrt/
Download all the necessary files when the program starts.
Turn on phone to bootloader mode by holding power button and volume button down. Go to the toolkit when and select "Flash stock + Unroot".
Wait for it to do all the work.

This is what I had to do as well last week. I had twrp installed and it caused an issue I believe.
All set now but I lost some data. My own fault for assuming it would go smoothly. I did not make a back up.
Sent from my shiny new(bought last Nov), scratch less Nexus 4!
i tried with this toolkit but nothing!
i think that the problem are the drivers! may be??
