[Q]Cant change baseband on ROM based on XXUBMGA - Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Im having the following issue and was wondering if anyone can help
I have been using MVLUAMG1 for a while now as my baseband which is the latest Rogers/Fido modem/baseband and upgraded to foxhound 1.4 and then 1.5 from older foxhound versions
After installing the rom im trying to update the modem from MVLUAMDJ to MVLUAMG1. I tried it via mobile Odin which was neevr an issue before and everything seemed to go ok but baseband still shows MVLUAMDJ in settings
I tried via odin on my computer and get auth fail at the last part (writing)
Issue started with Foxhound 1.4 which is based on XXUBMGA firmware. Tested ROMS that are not XXUBMGA based and seems to work ok
Also unfortunately this modem is not flashable via recovery for some reason. Only ways to flash is is mobile odin or regular odin.
Trust me I would like nothing more then a flashable zip that works of this modem
any ideas or alternatives?

Problem in downgrading from 4.3

I recently updated my stock rom to 4.3 version and then was facing some problems with rooting. so i decided to downgrade back to 4.2.2 stock but every time I tried to flash the md5 file via odin, it fails and shows unsupported version in download mode.
I went to a retailer and he flashed the 4.2.2 stock rom with another software (couldn't look properly which one). It wasn't odin. Can anyone tell me how can I downgrade from 4.3 via odin or let me know any other ways of doing so 'cause the rom I'd got installed from retailer didn't have network connectivity. I downloaded a fresh stock rom - 4.2.2 for my phone and it still gives the "unsuppoted version" error. I've already checked the version of stock rom and its the same that was running before all this mess...pls help..
Same story. Need help too.

i guess you have the I9500 variant,
you have the secured bootloader, you can only downgrade to MH1 4.2.2 only because it has the same bootloader. MH1 can be found in XFE or XFA South Africa firmware

Unless you really need to flash a modem because of bad reception you don't need to. It's not dependant on the firmware you are running
yes i have had some problems with the signal thats why i want to change the modem

[Q] Flash firmware/modem using Odin Mobile?

Hello everyone!
My favorite custom rom has been updated and the guy who created it also posted the updated firmware/modem, G900FDXU1ANG1. I tried to flash it using Odin Mobile but it didn't worked, baseband version is not changed. His tutorial says to flash it using Odin PC but I don't have a PC here, so I'm asking if I can flash the firmware/modem using Odin Mobile. Thank you.
G900F
You should be able to no problem I used mobile Odin pro and flashed and entire firmware package onto my phone with no issues

need help with Baseband and WIFI toggle Wont turn on

I need help
I have SGH i377m Canadian Edition with Koodo and i had rooted and installed Custom Rom on it for a while and it was working great but i have deiced that i was to restore it back to official rom so i went to Sammobile and installed the latest rom ( using my model and Carrier ) and i flashed it via Odin and it went well. however when i tried setting it up as new phone the Wifi toggle wont turn on at all so i factory rest the rom via official recovery and it still doesn't turn on.
I also noticed the base-band doesn't match the modelnumber of the official rom ( the base-band ends with AMJ and The ROM ends with NE2) So is there an way to flash the official Baseband/ Modem to the Stock Rom
I need this bansband/

[N910G][NOOB] Bootloader and Modem for build N910GDTU1COI1

Hi,
I'm currently having a problem with m N910G Note 4. The baseband version is Unknown. This happened after flashing Norma N7 V12 and different bootloaders and modems for Marshmallow (can't find the G1 BL recommended for the ROM). I had a backup for my Lollipop rooted stock ROM, except data. It has Modem and EFS backed up as well so I restored all.
However, I'm stuck with my phone freezing and rebooting (mainly due to baseband issue). I tried loading different bootloaders and modems available for N910G Lollipop but to no avail.
If anyone knows where I can get the COI1 BL and CP, that'd be great so I can still use my backed up ROM. Else, I might have to stick with upgrading to Marshmallow (since that's the only available free firmware on Sammobile). I'm avoiding upgrading the firmware though due to eMMC issues that mostly occured on Marshmallow.
Thanks,
Vin
Flashed RR 6.0.0 Android 8.1. ROM recognizes the bootloader and modem so no more rebooting. I guess the TouchWiz ROM has to match with the bootloader and modem; else it'd keep on rebooting. I'd have to find the bootloader and modem for Norma N7 though, so I hope someone could still reply here. Thanks a lot XDA peeps!
