Hello,
I just purchased a Xoom 3G MZ601, configured it and upgraded it to HC 3.1, then joined this forum.
Unfortunately I think I already messed my Xoom
I tried to root it following the Universal Xoom Root procedure from this forum:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1242241
- adb and fastboot commands worked ok, I could send the recovery recovery-Tiamat-R4c-100611-1150-cwm.img file
- I could boot in android recovery and install the Xoom-Universal-Root.zip from sd card.
But since then I get a boot loop on the "blue" animation.
I still can access Fastboot protocol support and the android recovery mode, but I have no clue what to do or to install to recover my Xoom
Any help would be highly appreciated.
Thanks a lot
so you unlocked the bootloader and were able to flash clockworkmod? i am not sure have you tried clearing dalvik cache and cache? or maybe even do a full wipe

Thanks for your quick reply
Yes, the clockwork mod is recovery-Tiamat-R4c-100611-1150.
I wiped data/full reset, cache and dalvik cache, still the same bot loop issue
post this in the actual thread for the universal root and also look at the last few comments they might help

Go to this thread and download the newer solarnz recovery img file. I thought I had updated it in my guide, but I think that's why you're bootlooping. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1074979
Hi guys,
I was running on CM10 11.18. However, wanted to switch back to CM7.2. Phone is now unable to boot up.
This is what I did.
1. Wiped Cache and data in stock recovery.
2. Wiped Cache, dalvik, data in custom recovery.
3. Installed CM7.2 and gapps
When I tried booting it up, the phone was on bootloops.
Then I picked my SEA sbf and flashed it using RDS Lite. However, problem persists. . Can anybody guide me through. I am without a phone now. Help!
You'll have to convert data to ext3.
Install cm10, in boot menu select tools then filesystem tools then convert to ext3

Have you tried to wipe data in stock recovery again? (volume down + power on)
If bootloops persist try to flash your sbf again, after flashing go to stock recovery immediately and wipe data again.
When selecting the 'wipe cache partition' in stock recovery, the system reboots after a couple of seconds. I think it used to return to the recovery menu. Is this the same for everyone else?
Running stock 4.2.1 unrooted.

Yes, mine does that as well.
It never returned back on this phone. it can stay in recovery after a cache wipe if using CWM or TWRP other than that no. But theres no need to stay in recovery if using stock, so its helpful after wiping cache. Other custom recovery yeah because it has other features..

Go in recovery and wipe the caches and data factory reset and reboot. What recovery do you have? TWRP 2.6.0.0 causes issues for some users. Try flashing Philz Touch recovery from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2281367, download the .tar file and flash with Odin 3.04 in downloadmode.

No, just flash with Odin without a wipe.
1.Pull out the battery, reinsert it after 30 seconds and boot the device into CWM Recovery: Volume Up+ Home + Power keys simultaneously.
2.Go to “Advanced”
3.Choose “Wipe dalvik-cache”
4.Now go to “Mounts & Storage”
5.Choose “Wipe /cache”
6.Reboot your phone
The bootloop should be gone now. If it still persists, do this.
1.Boot the phone again into CWM Recovery
2.Now go to “Mounts & Storage”
3.Choose “Wipe /data”
4.Choose “Wipe /cache”
5.Then reboot your phone.

If these steps don't help. Check if the rom is really for your phone. Redownlod the rom and flash it again. I tight be a corrupt download.
Also what version of cwm are you using? I read bout older cwm versions not going well with 4.3 Roms.

Hey guys! I am running 6.0.1 AOKP ROM on my A6000 plus, and wanted to revert to KitKat for a few days. I found this site
http://www.techolite.com/34431/lenovo-a6000plus-pure-stock-rom-recovery.html
And downloaded Lenovo A6000 plus KitKat stock Rom. However, while flashing this ROM via TWRP, I got an error that the zip is corrupted. So I downloaded it again, but it gave me the same error What's the problem? I did factory reset and wipe all cache and Dalvik cache before flashing, so why won't it flash?

I too always have some problem while reverting back to stock kitkat. Try this cwm recovery. Flash the stock KK using this. It'll surely work.
And, in case, you can flash this recovery, just boot into it at once by using
"fastboot boot recovery.img" in adb and fastboot tool on pc.
And then wipe system, data, cache, dalvik cache and flash ROM
