Im running the latest cm nightly w the offical gapps an im having problems with the stock browser. Whenever im on a web page and i touch the bar up top to enter a new web address it keeps sayin no cache with a bunch of numbers an letters next to it. It also keeps loading the same web page i was on. Anyone else having this problem or know how to fix this?

Even I had the same problem. I never used AOSP upto that extent. Why don't you just delete this AOSP apk from sys/app and then flash the flashable AOSP zip from themes and app section.. GIve it a try.

I upgraded CM 6 to CM6.1 RC2 and everything went smooth, except when you turn the nexus one on there is no market or gmail from google as if they some how are no longer part of the phone.
When I upgraded I did it from the phone itself so when i was ask if i wanted google add on I click yes and once it went to the booting process and the new CM6.1 RC2 was running I could not find the market or my contacts I could not sync my phone to the google server...why?
Hum.....read the thread and find the link to Google apps. You will then need to flash Google apps on top of your CM6 ROM.
I know sometimes the Google apks fail to download in ROM manager.
So should i download the CM 6.1 RC2 from the phone since i have the ROM manager and not get the google add on and download it from a PC, save it to da sd card n then do it manually?...please explain...thank you!

Download them both from the pc to sdcard .. then flash in recovery .. cm first then add ons
I just went to cyanogenmod website n i guess i was not da only one with this problem!...apperently you can no longer download CM 6.1 RC2 because not having android market or gmail...please if someone can help develop this ROM correctly...thank you!

Uh, I have no idea what you're talking about. CM6.1 RC2 is still available for download. If you still have it loaded, grab the GAPPS package from the wiki (link below) and flash it over your current ROM (no need to wipe first) to get the Market, Gmail, etc... back.

I notice if you go to cyanogenmod website and click on downloads and then experimental and you see CM6.1 RC2 and if you click on it it says you can not download it anymore because it was reported as broken because not having Market or gmail.
On the same website if you go to forums and then see nexus one it will give you a link to download it from the links they have on that forum....so my question is which one is really true?

Considering I'm running CM6.1 RC2 with everything working perfectly, I'd say it's not a problem with the build....
Edit: I just checked the page - you can actually still download the zip. Someone just reported the file as broken, but that isn't a note from the devs (they have better grammar).
CM Roms haven't included Google apps in a long time.
Google asked that their programs weren't included because they are copyrighted material. Android being open, you can still download the GAPPS (Google Apps) pack and flash over CM's latest.
This has been the method as long as I've been on Android.
I got downloaded it from your xda website and it works!!!...now can someone tell me what is the mayor changes from CM6.0 and CM6.1 RC2? the only thing I can notice is the fm radio...anybody can tell me what also is good with this ROM?
By the way....I love cyanogenmod!!...much better than the stock one!...Keep up with the good work developers!

I've been seeing this forum for some time and, because all my doubts have been clarified using "search", I've never registered in this forum until now .
I'm currently using pixel rom 1.72 Lite Touch but I've used 1.71 and 1.71a and they all have a bug on the browser. When I use "find" to find a word on a website, the browser crashes.
I wanted to report this in this rom's thread on the development forum but I can't post anything in there because of the 10 post minimum.
So I was wondering if this happens to anyone else and if anyone can help me.

Does this happens on other browsers?
I've cleared everything I could in the browser's settings (cache, cookies, etc) and I also ran "fix permitions" on CWM and it still crashes.
Is there something else I can do? On Opera mobile this doesn't happen...
Update: I've updated airkernel to 3.9 and pixel rom to 1.72 fully touched and the browser doesn't crash anymore
Hi, it just happens this week, i dont know why is this happening to my galaxy y, the problem is:
I cant download anything through browsers (opera, dolphin, stock internet explorer.) but i can surf, and watch at youtube apps and i can even download at google play, the only thing is i cant download ANYTHING in browsers THROUGH WIFI, I already flash stock rom using Odin but still the problem is still there... Annoying isnt it..? Anyone can help?

yes, its just the stock browser, i think its not the internet, even lower than 1mb, i cant download it, i can watch youtube vids smoothly, i can even download at google play, what problem is this.... :'(

what kind of tweaks r u going to recommend? I dont like the adhoc to wifi thing... any help? Im in a custom rom now (Jellyblastv3.0.3) but still, problem still persist... :'(

Try to enable pop-ups on your stock browser settings. Several attachments cannot be downloaded because it is considered as a pop-up and also some downloading sites won't let you download files unless their advertisement has shown already.

Router restart, different wifi, sd card change, flash stock, flash custom rom, download all files app... I tried it all guys, no change at all, i think i forgot to indicate that in my mobile internet (cellphone plan/mobile charges) there is no problem... i can freely download, do u think that its hardware malfunction (wifi)?
I'm using galaxy s5 with cm11.
The problem of my phone is really weird!
This problem only happens on using mobile network. (no problem on using wifi)
I can use google map, kakao talk(messenger), Hearth Stone(game) without problem.
But I'm not connected when I use internet browsers(basic one and chrome), gmail, facebook, play store, youtube and so on.
If I go to gumtree app (like craiglist in US), I can load people's posts, but not advertisements.
On the browsers, I see the error message:

Anyone notice the problem and solution?

I tried chrome and basic internet browser.
It's not just browsers, most of apps doesn't work!!
Use a different ROM?

cm11... I recently bought it as a used one with newly installed cm 11.
I think installing stock firmware is pretty hard, and hard to download I guess.
I've never tried that.
Change your apn settings, had a similar problem.

No hard to install stock at all
Goto sammobile .com, firmware section, instructions are under the download
I have installed this ROM a few days ago...But when i try to download anything from the stock android browser,it force closes and displays "Browser has stopped.".Any solutions to my problem??

It's happening not only with RR 6.0. It also happened with me on CM13 and CAF AOSP, which are totally different rom's.
I think it has something to do with the permissions, search for them on Settings and let Browser have everything it wants.
I HIGHLY recommend to use ANY browser instead of AOSP browser. (even in security terms)
UC Browser is the very best for me, but on Marshmallow it can not download to external sd card.... But it is irrelevant!
Just use any different browser found in playstore
