I was having some force closes with the browser in this new Froyo OTA leak I think it has to do with the Flash 10.1 plugin so I went into the browser settings and changed the "Enable plug-ins" to "On demand" this seems to have helped.
This is happening to me too. I'm noticing it happen mostly when I load up the browser and hit the hardware back button when the initial page is loading.
If you installed flash 10.1 when you had android 2.1, and upgraded to 2.2 without uninstalling 10.1, you have a problem.
Try to uninstall it with Titanium backup, then reinstall the rom.
You should have no problem after this.

While I'm sure this would be a issue I do not believe that is the case here. I have the same issue after full wipe and fresh rom install.

This really wouldn't matter. The problem exists both ways still something with the leak.
I use to have this issue with 2.1. I haven't been able to duplicate the op's issue since updating to the leaked 2.2. So far the browser is rock solid.
Maybe something on your sd card, conflicting with the browser? I had similar issues with my moto droid a while back.
Having the same issue. FC when you back all the way out using the browser.
Wondering if pushing the Skyraider 1.9 browser would fix this?

sent from my dinc using the app.
Hi installed flash 10.2 from the market on Thu.. seems just as good to me... anyone else installed it?.. any problems?....

I've installed it and its good but I'm still getting BBC news pages crashing the browser (both stock and dolphin) every now and again. I even did a cache clear and uninstall of flash.
I did read a post saying the issues were due to poorly coded flash by the BBC but not sure
Mmm not experienced this.. as I do read the BBC news site quite often. And watch the video.. see how it goes with the new 10.2
I only have 1.09 with og's rom add on...

New thread on listing the apps which are not compatible or just FC
Assumption: Everyone has done a full wipe as per Overcome instructions.
Your build must be from stock rom as instructed from Overcome team.
Then comparisons can be made...
P1000 GSM UK/EU model
GO Keyboard
Winamp
Some themes for ADW EX launcher - ADW EX does work.
Getting a lot of FCs on 4.0.0
What are other users of 4.0.0 finding ?
Any ideas how to fix/patch or work arounds.
I have just degraded from 2.3.5 to 2.3.3 Overcome 7 v4.0.0 rom and kernel and is working fine with most of the apps.
I followed the steps on this site as a guide:
< http://www.moniroth.com/mobile/android/how-to-install-overcome-rom-on-galaxy-tab-p1000.mh>, but download the stock rom and overcome 7 v4 rom from:
< http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1317384>, as the p1000.overcometeam.com site seem to be down.
I used the wipe version, and reinstalled back all my previous apps one by one and all are working fine.

Maybe you wana try fixing permissions at the recovery menu, I was told that would resolve most of the FCs issue.

Fix Android Market "Not compatible with your device"

Hate to bump an older thread but have a fix for the market. This is not related to the FC issues mentioned in the OP but the Android market may not like your DPI setting if you changed it. I had this issue with Adobe Flash and Where's my Water. To download apps that "are not compatible with your device" just edit your build.prop:
Code:
ro.sf.lcd_density=240
After you reboot, clear the market data and cache and you will be able to download your app. You can change your DPI back once your app is downloaded. I've had to do this on my G2 and the Tab.
Kind Regards,
Kevin

Agreed. I haven't found any app incompatible with OC 4.0 or now 4.1.
Although I have no idea how to edit that file (n00b) ....I use LCD Resolution app to the same thing (I think).
try the new update 4.1.0
I would suggest to use Overcome 4.1.0 too. After installing the ROM just apply the Old Market Patch from OC 4.0.0.
It works well for me without any problems with downloading apps. The newer markets are much more restrictive.
works for me that way, too. Thanks!
On overcome 4.0 i had problems with the market. After installing 4.1 nowipe zip everything works perfectly

Nothing to do with the ROM. When you install 4.1.0 (or 4.0.0) it resets whatever you had back to 240. And market works.
LMFAO
I knew it. So none of you have changed DPI *after* installing OC 4.1 and *not* had the market issue.
Therefore the original comments still stand.
Jeez.

After 4.1.0 update installation my native browser is too slow and I lost smoothness on scrolling. Otherwise, all other apps (interface, menus, options, etc) are bettert and much more smooth.
Does anyone else check this problem? I prefer smothness on all system, include browser ^^

No issues like that for me.
Why dont you install a new, better browser; both Dolphin Browser and Opera Mobile are pretty good.

Thanks for your reply.
Yes, I know all of these browsers, but in Overcome 4.0.0 the native browser is excelent on smoth scrolling, best ever I seen in Android...
I'll try to Wipe and made a fresh installation of 4.1.0 to check if there is really a problem.
Thks.
I'm running Overcome 3.0.1 Jupiter and am trying to wipe to 4.1.0 but I cant unzip the recovery file GB-Stock_Safe-V5. none of the zip apps I'v tried work.
Anybody know what is wrong. I've downloaded that file several times but always from the same source TeamOvercome

Even I had the same problem. I never used AOSP upto that extent. Why don't you just delete this AOSP apk from sys/app and then flash the flashable AOSP zip from themes and app section.. GIve it a try.
I use Opera mini..(Always the BEST:good
I have installed this ROM a few days ago...But when i try to download anything from the stock android browser,it force closes and displays "Browser has stopped.".Any solutions to my problem??

It's happening not only with RR 6.0. It also happened with me on CM13 and CAF AOSP, which are totally different rom's.
I think it has something to do with the permissions, search for them on Settings and let Browser have everything it wants.
I HIGHLY recommend to use ANY browser instead of AOSP browser. (even in security terms)
UC Browser is the very best for me, but on Marshmallow it can not download to external sd card.... But it is irrelevant!
Just use any different browser found in playstore
can use Google chrome
