My 818pro might be DEAD!

Dear Bros,
I have a very serious problem here with my 818pro, which noone may have encounter in this forum, let me tell you in sequence:
1)First, after I downgrade my rom with this file Customize_rom_PDAMobiz_Editon_Upgrade_Rom_for_IPLSPL_2.15.0001_v.1.02.rar, I was unable to power up from USB. I can only power up using the wall mains.
2)After powering up from my wall mains, I upgrade my OS using this file
AKU3.3.07.ASERG .
3)After upgrade and hard reset, I am unable to boot up using both the wall mains and even the USB! My display just went blank, and my two leds (orange and blue) keep blinking on and off.
4)I connect my 818pro using USB to PC but cannot go into the bootloader mode nor boot up into the OS.
5)I connect using my wall mains (but not link to PC) and is able to go into bootloader screen, but still unable to boot up into the OS.
Here, I am unable to perform any upgrade/downgrade of ROM using the mains power as I cannot connect to my PC at all!
6)Worst case, I do not have any ROM backup file on my SDcard, therefore am unable to do anything at all!
7)Lastly, can any of you expert brothers here able to advise me wat to do now, or able to provide me with any SDcard rom backup for the 818pro, as I guess that is the only option out for me now???
Would be deeply grateful to the kind brothers here for helping me out! Sorry for the long story which may be confusing.
Best Regards

Hey man, you're not alone.. my 818pro do act like that sucks things as yours...
hoping expert's help ,too.....
solved...just replace a new battery...haha..
really? replace a new battery will help? why is that so??? my battery is still good , and the only thing i did to **** up the pda is just reflashing the rom to a wrong one.
what happen when u replace a new battery? can share?
get the battery out.
cut your charger cable open
the inner cable, the one inside of the inner white one connects to pin 1 from the physical top.
the outer one of the charger cable connects to the fifth pin from the physical top
no you go into bootloader and connect the usb cable, flash over another rom and try if it works... GET OUT THE BATTERY BEFORE YOU CONNECT THE PINS mine got damaged because of that
hey thanks! i've successfully unbricked my 818pro and flashed it with os 1.013, a very early version, and only that seems to work! I had tried flashing to aku3.3 clean rom from pdamoviz but it stuck at the splash screen after successful flashing.
another funny thing, although i unbricked my 818pro, i can still only soft reset it thru my charger instead of usb. If i soft reset while on usb power, the device will just shut off and show blue and orange flashing leds. Do u have a workaround for this problem?

hI,How did you flash the rom? You could not go into bootloader mode, nor connect through usb. Please give the procedure used, because I have the same problem. Thanks.
no and there are still a lot of problems for me... I bricked 2 batterys already for example but I'm working on it ... but its a little bit different as I flashed a Wizard bootloader and I have no idea what happened with your phone^^ but something else... I know the problem though, often my phone doesn't even bootup after soft reset if its connected to the charger...

[Solved] Bricked Bravo Driver Issues

Just wiped and reset my Bravo and now it is in an endless boot loop. Tried to use RSD lite to load the sbf but the drivers are not working. RSD lite does not recognize my device.

Go to stock recovery by pressing power+volume down, then press both volumes buttons and wipe data/cache.
If you want to flash your phone with RSD Lite, you have to turn on your phone pressing power+volume up, then you will be in bootloader mode, then connect the phone to the PC via USB and flash the SBF.
The stock recovery doesn't work for some reason it was giving me an error. Can't get into the bootloader mode because the battery won't charge. I'm getting the question mark battery icon whenever I go to charge the phone and the bootloader says the battery is too low.
I actuality cheated the too low battery can't charge part. I took an old charger of mine and cut off the end. I then took the neg and pos ends and taped them to the battery so they made contact with the batt. NOT each other. Then I put the battery into the phone and held it there until RSD loded my sbf and then had a party. Took me like 3 hours to think of it. Anyway, after it loaded I undid everything and put the battery back in and plugged in the charger and charged it to %100. FYI Always start with a fully charged battery. BTW on most chargers the wire that is rough or has lines is negitive i belive. I am not responsable for anything you do to your phone resulting from this post.

if you dont wanna cut your OEM charger , you can buy a battery charger that charges battery only , they are really like 3 bucks free shipping off ebay, sometimes you can buy a high capacity battery and a charger combo for like 12 bucks
i hope everything works out for you
i just found this how to solve your battery problem
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=892026
Summery: Cut end off any USB cable. Connect red to + on battery, Black to -. Insert into phone. Plug other end into a) computer b) wall plug and then boot into bootloader. Plug standard USB cable into phone and then computer. Flash correct SBF file with your choice of RSD Lite. Done.
Did I miss anything?
Oh and I posted in the Defy forum and was tossed out for comparing it to the Bravo. Touchy guys overthere.

If you can connect it to the battery only, it will be less dangerous for your phone.
It could charge something, walter79 did it with his defy!
--------------------------------------
DEFY owners dont know that defy has a little brother which needs lot of attention, because it has the same potential.
True true but I was in a hurry. Worked anyway. After reading I did look at the charger that I used and it does only put out 3.8v at 875Ma so it's so close at being the same power as the battery it'self that I don't think the phone knew any better. Oh well the what if's and shouldi've's of the world.
And yes the Bravo is Defy's little brother but only in parts....... Kinda a more 2nd cousion looked over at family gatherings and get's the crap parts of the Thanksgiving turkey, (Sniff, sniff, tear).
So I fixed the battery problem but now I have some other problems. When I try to do the volume down power android recovery to try to update.zip. When I do this I get an error 7 meaning that I probably don't have a stock app installed from what I've read. Then I tried to do the RSD lite install and the only RSD lite I can get to recognize my phone is 3.9. I've tried 4.5.7, 4.9, and 5.0. Each of these can't recognize my phone when I plug it in. When I try to run 3.9 I get a can't find INI error. Please HELP!
Umm, real quick do you have MotoHelper installed?
Yup motohelper is installed and my computer recognizes the flash device. RSD lite 3.9 detects my phone but fails to install the sbf and no other RSD has been able to detect my phone.
Used a different computer with windows 7 32-bit and a newer version of RSD Lite and on the first try it installed the sbf!

[Q] Something VERY STRANGE with My lovely Defy

Hello all xda's members , It's my first post but I know a lot of things about this forum and about Motorola Defy ...
I've got something very strange , after a long time that I used Miui Rom ..
Suddenly , last week My Defy doesn't snow me if it's charging ( but still charge untill 97% ) and doesn't want to connect via USB . I've tried with 3 cables and nothing work .
Charging problem it's not too big because it's works , but no connect to USB .
And .. this is the strange thing :
I've connected to PC via USB in bootloader ( Power button + up volume ) and it seems to be allright .. BUT !! WITHOUT BATTERY !!! JUST PLUGGED TO USB PC !!! AND DON'T RECOGNIZE RSD LITE ( USB MASS STORAGE OR EVERYTHING !
And it snows that " Battery OK " .. What's wrong with my phone ?!
Please help me , I need a quickly answer Tell me if it's a hardware problems .. That's what I think
Thx all .
is this windows?
i have similar issues... windows doesn't detect my phone neither in mass storage nor bootloader... but USB debug is working... I can do adb...
however in Linux my phone works correctly... and I can also flash using sbf_flash in Linux...
seems to be driver issues for me...
It says MTP device driver not found...
Sent from my MB526 using xda premium
Yes , it's windows , but I replaced drivers and still not work .. I'm not sure if that's software problem .
It's normally if I pull out battery ( connected via USB ) and phone still work ?( without restart ) And if I pull in battery and disconnect from pc still work without restart ? ..
And charging problem : my phone doesn't snow me that it's charging .. only if I go to settings /system / Battery settings ( say it's discharging ) I see how increase energy level ..
What's wrong ? I've got this problem again a long time ago , it was drop from charge a few seconds , and didn't charge .
Maybe can be this problem because I used it underwater a few times . After that , I had lot of water inside , didn't want to charge and connect USB .. after I used a hair dryer and pull out water , everything works fine
Any reason ?!
