I have the device for just over a week .. I am a huge and annoying defect, black screen all the time, or on the contrary to stand by black opens by itself without touching anything ... tried wipe reset, it does the same, I also disabled all motion, and the sensor call ... nothing changes ... there way to test the proximity sensor to see if it is defective or if it is some app that interfere? or I reset it again without installing anything and I feel like this? inzomma any solution before taking it a month without star service and seen that if nn err .. the time to take it back to the store is out of date (a week right?) ... not I would not even the forklift, S3 sold just yesterday ... thanks to all...

1. Do a data factory reset
2. Reflash the stock rom with Odin 3.04 followed by a data factory reset
3. If any of the above don`t work take it to the shop for repair or exchange.

odin the installation fails ... I'm a bit desperate to point .. I'm trying to re-download the fw, but I do not think that's the problem because it seems that odin face the md5 of the file and it is ok . ((((

i've just tried upgrading to the new froyo build through kies, but on completion my phone will not turn back on. All i am getting is black screen with random vibrations. I can get into download mode though. Anyone have a link to jf3 or jm1 original firmwares so i can flash back via odin then try kies again?
Go to recovery (volup+home+power) wipe data/factory reset and it will work, happened to me also.

man I cant stress this enough.. THANK YOU SO MUCH !!!!!!! After this happened to me I was ready to 1) give up, 2) try to reflash with odin 3) try something even more crazy..
and you saved my but ! I did as you said and it just started up perfectly ! Now I have froyo, all my data, and dont have to reflash or anything !
I just have one question if I may please !
I had a lagfix installed and I didnt disable it before I did the flashing, so do I still have it or what ? Because I didnt loose any data but the applications that I had instaled are not showed anymore.. which bugs me because Ill have to clean up and redo everything.. but at least Ill have a clean phone )
thanks again man !
You need to dis able lag fix before updating or anything

of course I know that now , the issue with my situation would be that after I got it working (did what BaalBehrit said) the phone would boot up normaly, but all apps including of course One-click Lag fix were still there but didn't show as installed apps, nor had they any icons for that matter. Therefore disabling it before second flash was virtualy imposible.
What I did was simple. I backed all my data to my computer and then just formated both SD cards - that probably took care of the lagfix, after that, I did the flash again and everything run smoothly.
but you're right I have to remember for next time
hey guys I've a problem with the Airview,it doesn't works perfectly...for example when I'm on lock screen unexpectedly I see the pointer on screen that moves up and down without any reason while I have put my hands over ...or in other supported apps this problem exists.

Hey there.
I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing this problem with your phone. Either your hardware is damaged or your software. My best guess is your software, seeing as your phone's touch screen stopped working right after you conducted a hard reset. Perhaps you can get your touch screen working again by flashing your original firmware through KDZ.
If you've got anymore problems and/or questions, feel free to ask!

That's gonna be a really big problem, I think. Can you boot into CWM and do a full factory reset along with wiping your cache and dalvik cache?

You said you conducted a hard reset on your phone which is what initially possibly caused your touch screen to stop working. Try to perform the exact same steps and conduct a hard reset again.

Try this mate , boot into recovery do a factory reset/Wipe cache and then reboot and Quickly press and hold power+Voldown in order to boot into downloadmode , Flash the stock rom and once its done... the phone should reboot automatically , and then Hold and press Power+VolumeUP that should boot your phone into recovery mode... Now do a factory reset/wipe cache and reboot your phone.. .Before the initial setup, Just dont do anything to your phone for atleast 4 to 5 minutes, Let it settle and then proceed with the initial setup.

Woke up this morning and my phone wasn't responding to my touches and half the screen was completely stuffed. As I continued to restart and fix it now it just flashes white and black. Of course I would claim this under warranty but I have Cyanogen Mod on there so I need to go back to stop rom and need to reset my flash counter? Is there any way I can do that without actually going on the phone? Thanks
