hello there.
i have a problem with my l3 e400.
i wanted to increase l3's ram,so i did those steps i found on internet
a)i made 2 partiotions to sd with mini tools partition wizard
b)the first partition is fat32 and the other one is ext2(ext2 has set to primary)
c)then i linked link2sd app with the ext2 partition.
the thing is that it works really great BUT now my pc can not recognise my e400 and the smartphon, every time i try to connect them,it shows this "unfortunately the process android.process.media has stopped"
what should i do?
help
if you search on google"lg e400" the first result is the tutorial i followed

Hi guys
This motorola flipout mb511 is my first android phone , as a new user I am just getting to know the terminology.
Can some one please guide me through the steps on how to root my phone so I can move my apps to an sd card.
My firmware is version 2.1 , I have been reading the forums to see how to update this but I havent seen anywhere that it can be done yet .
as a new user please feel free with any recommendations you may have.
greatly appricated
Rooting is really a must, currently there is no official or unnoficial update for the flipout. I belive i rooted with super one click method (google it) but I did it so long ago i can only be 90% sure. As to installing non market apps (which you will most likely need to do for rooting) the easy way is to install the" sideload enabler" from motorola on the market and enable unknown sources, the hard way is using android debug bridge from your computer. Once you get it rooted i would parition the sd card and use link2sd to adress the low internal storage on the flipout. After that there are tons of great tweaks to do with root like blocking ads, overclocking, and changing transition or boot animations good luck.
If you have any problems iKd be happy to help out

Thanks for your reply
I used "super one click method " and rooted the phone.
I installed link2sd.
How do i partition the sd card and transfer apps etc
I formated my micro sd card into two partitions , both fat32
when i try to move some apps to the sd card i am getting any error message
" Mount script error
mount:no such device
ext 3 may not be supported on your device . Try Fat32 on the second partition"
Are you sure that you made both fat32 partitions primary? I think could be it

I rooted my phone and I partitioned my sd card into 2 partitions , both FAT32 primary 3.7GB and when i open link2sd and select either ext 2 or ext 3 I get an error message
"Mount scrip error
Mount scripe cannot be created.
mount: no such device
ext 2 may not be supported on your device. Try FAt32 on the second partition"
Has anyone come accross this problem before ?
when I ran app2sd i scrolled down and selected fat32 so its working perfectly now .
Thanks for all your help
Hello,
Maybe you will help a noob. So I bought my first smart-phone HTC HD2 and tried to install tytung Jelly Bean 4.12. Everything went smooth using Aroma installer (installed with data on SD EXT4). The operating system worked wonderfully, but after the first reboot it is showing me System UIDs Inconsistent error message (UIDs on the system are inconsistent, you need to wipe your data partition or your device will be unstable). There is one button "I'm felling lucky" and when you press it a bunch of pop-ups of stopped services shows.
Does anyone knows how to fix this? I guess the system can't access data on SD card (I use 1gb micro SD card with ~500mb EXT4 partition and the rest of the space is FAT32 with 8KB cluster size). The ROM thread tells to make FAT32 partition with 32kB cluster size, but I was unable to do that. Oh, and after the install Aroma installer showed a message not to forget to set something to NativeSD, but I didn't understand/do that
Thanks for any help!

P.S. In recovery program I tried to "Fix Permissions" but it didn't help...
A small update: Tried to connect SD card to computer and it didn't show on "My computer", even though windows and "Mini tool" partition programs sees both of the partitions and show that they are "healthy". I even can browse through FAT32 partition on "Mini tool partition wizard" but not on windows. Is it possible that Android doesn't see SD card?
I re-formated and re-partitioned SD card using "Recovery" on the phone, did a clean install of android and it seems to be working fine. Thanks for everyone who read this thread
Hi guys,excuse my english i'm Mexican,and i not speak a good English.
my question is:
i installed the rom xtremiui in the L3, the problem is;
I can not make a partition on the sd card,,I tested with the program mini tool partition a thousand ways to Fat 32 and Ext2,Logical-Primary..Primary Logical,,Primary-Primary,,,Logical-Logical and nothing.
I try with cwm recovery to create the particion and nothing.
In the Link2SD create the partition, reboot the L3,and tap I link the applications.
The problem is,dont move the apps to the partition. it's as if i select, move to the sd card and the apps move to internal storage (1gb)..
i dont know if is different partitions in miui or how, but in all partition options that I mentioned and i tested, I get the same thing.
if you can tell me how to solve, ussing other program or something. It would be helpful
Thanks

in link2sd tap the menu button, chose more and link dalvik-cache files. That may fix your problem. BTW when you link the apps to the sd it moves the apps to the sd and creates a link (shortcut) to the internal storage

cwm recovery should be good for any ics roms... but if you dont make it any successful, then try this;
using minitool...
- Linux Swap = 32Mb > primary
- Ext2 = as you wish > primary
- FAT32 = remains size as media storage > primary
noticed that Ext2 partition sizes have to smaller than FAT32...
in link2sd, choose Ext2 partition as mounting script created...
i'm using this n installed 200+ of apps w/o any problems... good luck
sooooo.... is it working or not!!???
OP where are you....?????

I discovered that if you partition but does not work as above.
I need to do a few steps each to install some applications
Link Dalvik-cache
Clean the 2nd partition
Clean Dalvik-cache
Clean cache to all apps.
And reboot (sometimes)
and this frees me some memory . sometimes delete all and sometimes need a reboot. before everything in automatic, be changed but at least they found the solution.
Thanks
Hi guys,
I followed a lot of tricks ,found here on xda forums, on how to increase internal memory for the galaxy y.
I tried some apps but I was not satisfied:silly:, used link2sd, it is good but it asks sometimes for mounting partitions...
So, looked for some other alternatives that can make me feel the increase of memory as "natural". I found amarullz script(ext manager), flashed it , removed all methods and installed script.
All was almost perfect because my internal storage really increased and the ext2 partition is used as internal memory but the only problem is that sometimes it shows the famous error "Inconsistent System UID"
I wiped data and cache...not fixed.
This script is really good to me and I wonder how to fix this issue, is there a missing step during installation (I followed this procedure: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kvGpsLHAiFo) ?
I use jellyblast v3 rom with kernel MerrukTechnology_Pre-2.0.
Please help.
Hello guys I'm using LG optimus L3 E400 and I am running out of system storage. I know about rooting and Link2SD app but it doesn't work.
I created the 1st partition as Fat32 and the second as Ext2 , and also vice versa using rom manager, CWM recovery, ESus partition tool. But nothing helped me..
I can create the mount script and the mount script works. But the first partition is not recognized. It says a Blank SD or Unsupported.
Please tell me how to do it if I am doing it wrong.
I use a 2 GB SD
Thanks!
