I'll probably be installing this as soon as my tablet gets in, seeing how well my phone (d2can; running d2att) has been taking CM10.2. I'll let everyone know how it goes.
Sweet. Thanks for letting us know. I'm flashing it right now =)
Is a full wipe required, coming from 10.1?
Just installed and it appears that the ROM doesn't think I've got root access, I can't even do anything that requires root. When I go and restore my backup of cleanrom 1.3 I've got root access again

From what I understand your phone must be completely stock. Even the \boot files. Not sure if it needs to be unrooted as well though.

Not sure it'll work though, even though the GRJ90 update supposedly turned on NFC, this one also has some Android "Security Fixes" that may be necessary for Wallet to work.
i just tested this and it won't work. i backed up wallet with titanium backup and restored on 2.3.5, and it will not even restore.

Hi,
I'm trying to download a game, but I installed ICS (latest kang) and obviously it's thinking I'm running 4.0.1 and the game won't run on this. Is there a way to edit build.prop or any other file so I can buy the game before the rebate ends.
Thanks in advance
EDIT: All I'm trying to know is if it's possible to change a file to make the Market app think I'm running something like 2.3.4 so I can buy the app??

Still thanks everyone
Have you tried to browse to market.android.com on your PC and buy it there? Yesterday I couldn't buy an app on my phone, for me it worked that way.
you're lucky....at least your phone has a reason to think it's not compatible....I'm running stock 2.3.4 and I get that error message for at least 75% of the apps in the market....including gmail, etc. It's obnoxious!!!
Seriously, this isn't even a dump from online or anything...this is my original ROM backup restored via CWM that is doing it.
It thinks you're running 4.0.1? If you are running ICS euroskank kang you ARE running 4.0.1....

But really, don't use ICS as daily driver, it's way too buggy and slow. Very soon we will have the ICS OTA and then things will be different.. I hope..

Yes. It saves all the paranoid settings for each app. I don't think it backs up home screen layouts though, and it definitely doesn't back up apps or data. Usually I dirty flash updates to Paranoid though, so my home screens and apps aren't touched. I just wipe cache and dalvik, then flash the update and gapps. Then I restore my paranoid settings with the backup that we're talking about.

Best bet is to install nova launcher or apex launcher, setup your screens how you like them, then back it up in the app. Regardless of what you flash you can restore your layout when you redo the launcher app.

Root and install either Clockworkmod or TWRP Recovery following this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2266654
Before flashing any custom ROM or kernel, make a nandroid backup so you can revert back if the changes cause your phone to crash.
before flashing anything, learn about your device and the basics to modding your device first. or youll soon start a "new user, help me i think i bricked my device" thread.

They should all work with whatsapp as far as I know. As for liking the ROM that's completely subjective of course. Personally I doubt I could find a ROM that I actually disliked for this phone since the're mostly minor variations from stock and I like stock as well.
Hey guys,
I've recently updated to android 4.3
I've installed franco kernel on top of the os and it seems to screw up my phone
the phone restarted and its stuck on the google logo
I've tried to use nexus root toolkit of WUG to install stock + unroot in the soft brick mode
and its still stucked on the google logo
tried factory reset from bootloader and now it tells me I dont have OS hehe
mmm dont know really what to do from here and not sure
I did the above mentioned steps as I should.
I dont have problem to delete everything and to do a factory reset if possible
Also I'd like to have 4.2.2 .. loved it more as I could work with franco kernel
would much appriciate any guidence on to follow up from here
as I am preety lost.
thanks alot mates!
That is soft bricked and there is like a million ways to fix it.
If you want you can sideload a custom rom of your choice or you can just use the Nexus Stock Images which allows you to install 4.2.2 or 4.3.
